Being part of the Family Constellations Certification Program for over a year now has been an incredibly transformative journey for me. As I heal, I become a conduit for healing not just for myself, but for my ancestors. And while I do not have children in this lifetime, this healing impacts lives I will have in the future. Her wisdom, intuition, trustworthiness, and honesty have been the cornerstone of our learning, growth, and journey. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher to walk alongside me on this path of discovery and healing. While I'm still not entirely confident in my ability to be a facilitator, I'm learning to trust myself more each day. With each small step, I'm gaining confidence that I can lead and facilitate a constellation for a client. I've worked with Hemla for several months both in groups and individual sessions. She is an intuitive guide who knows just the right questions to ask to spur personal growth. Disclaimer: I got a free color therapy reading at a free art event (Color Party) at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art. And even though it wasn't a full one hour session. It was very helpful. I've never done color therapy before, didn't know what it was, or what to expect even. And I grabbed fives and it told her a lot of the things I was dealing and feeling with. And I was dealing with deep anxieties that I didn't tell anyone about. That whole past week.. I couldn't sleep or if I did: it was never well and I would just get nightmares. And everything wasn't 'new' that we talked about and something I didn't even realize. And Hemla gave me a deeper insight about things. And in the end gave me a new piece of solution that I could never have come up on my own and it definitely will be a game changer in my life. She has skill and a lot to offer with her services. I have felt stuck many times in my life without a clear resolution of how to move forward. Some issues or patterns that I have battled with include loneliness and financial insecurity. When Hemla started group family constellations a couple of years ago, I jumped onboard. Family constellations help break patterns that we have inherited from our ancestors, either consciously or unconsciously. I don't even know many of my ancestors, and that's okay! The best way to describe these constellations is an unstructured chess board of many moving pieces, with the only agenda to clear and heal the pain or loss that our ancestors have faced, thereby clearing our issues. Like many people, I never know how a constellation will unfold. I do know that, whether I participate for someone else's constellation or do my own, I walk out knowing that somehow, in some way, the healing process has started for an issue that I have in my life. Participating in other's constellations also reinforces how we're able to receive feelings or words intuitively and easily, even when we don't know the person that we're representing in the constellation. I found it cathartic to experience how words, a hug or a good cry can change the past significantly. One of my most memorable experiences was when one of my constellations went many, generations back! I wanted to heal my feelings of loneliness and this constellation brought understanding as to why I felt the way I did. What's even better is that I don't have to do anything after these constellations. The healing starts to unfold energetically. Hemla incorporates Color Therapy and the Enneagram into these constellations, which is a unique way of explaining the story. She's a gifted intuitive healer, facilitator, and above all, very compassionate. It's truly been one amazing experience after another, and so I keep on coming back. read more

I booked a constellation session with Hemla after hearing her on a podcast, and knew I had to work with her to help work through the blockages I was experiencing in trying to conceive my daughter. I had been through 4 rounds of IVF to conceive my son and suffered two blighted ovum miscarriages and was terrified of it happening again if I were to undergo fertility treatments again. In the session, we explored my Irish ancestry and healed the blight of the potato famine in my Irish past. 6 months later, I did one final round of IVF and got one perfect embryo that resulted in a pregnancy that was NOT blighted...my beautiful, perfect baby girl was born healthy and full term. I appreciate having discovered 7 Rays Holistic Center on Yelp only to realize I'd met Hemla once before. To be honest, I had very little idea how color and energy impacted our psyche, though I suspected my lifelong desire to be recognized as an accomplished creative, and my personal obsession with sifting through colors (in the form of artist palettes) had some underlying current to my identity and perception of the world. Most therapists will not even broach the subject of intuition or creativity, often discarding these traits as "diagnosis of such and such disorder" which need taming and sedation. Sadly, we live in a helicopter-parenting community, and knowing Hemla's in this neighborhood is a breath of fresh air. Hemla is incredibly kind, intuitive, and gifted in helping clients identify their core essence, find clarity, and identify the root cause of their mental and emotional blocks.
