Here, they pierce with integrity, they educate before, during and after. If there's a risk or problem, they tell you. They really make the process as efficient, clean, and painless as possible. I truly appreciate the knowledge. We learned that one of my friends has a slightly deviated septum, while another has one ear that would best fit a rook piercing, but all three of us agreed that this experience with Meagan was a 10/10 experience. After experiencing the aftercare from my septum with another piercing, I'll definitely be back if I'm looking for any other piercings. My friend and I got piercings on a Saturday evening at 713 Tattoo Parlour. She got her nose pierced and I got a helix ear piercing. The wait was about 1.5 hours and you must stay on site, so if you're able to find parking, I'd recommend just hang out in your car. Their customer service was really great, and the actual piercer was really cool. It was a very quick and efficient experience. They also have really beautiful jewelry options that are high quality. My friend often has really bad reactions to piercing jewelry and has had no issue with the jewelry at 713. They're pricing is very good too. I'd highly recommend. Also note, the girl who checked us in let us know that the best time to get piercings with shorter wait times is around noon. But either way, I'd recommend coming here even if you have to wait because it's just a pleasant experience. read more

Pricing has definitely gone up on the jewelry pieces, even compared to the last couple times I came here to purchase jewelry. This visit, I bought a real gold piece for my tragus and was told the total was around $190. When checking the pricing, she kept looking at her phone but would quickly lock the screen before I could actually see the breakdown. Later, I checked online and saw the front piece listed around the $170 range without tax ( they don't tax you at all after purchasing). Even if the back was an additional charge of $15, it still seems like I may have been overcharged by about $5-10. After I left, I called to ask about the pricing and was told the back post was not included -- which was never explained during the purchase. What also wasn't explained is that the back post itself is not gold either. Had I known that beforehand, I honestly wouldn't have purchased it because I have seen both the front and back in matching gold for around the same price. Now I'm stuck with a mismatched jewelry piece, it's not actually fully gold, and it's probably final sale. I've gotten several large pieces done at 713, and every time I visit I leave even more impressed with the level of precision and expertise Homer Saenz (owner) brings to the table - not to mention the world-class team of artists he has around him. I've spent a lot of time in the shop and can genuinely speak to the professionalism, skill, and authenticity of the entire staff. They're also just an awesome group of people to interact with and talk to - which especially matters when you're on the table for hours at a time. The whole team is ridiculously talented and they don't just "tattoo you" -- they actually care about the design, the placement, and making sure it fits your body perfectly. Bring them your ideas, but trust their recommendations -- they'll help you refine it and take it to the next level. Their professionalism doesn't stop once you're out the door either - they'll check-in on healing, provide support on aftercare as well as any other general guidance you may need. I've gotten multiple piercings done at 713 over the span of probably close to 7 years now and while I've had several different piercers over the years everyone I've seen has been nothing but professional and also personable. Most recently I had just accompanied my friend to get a helix piercing done. He was a bit nervous but Cody was such a calm and understanding presence and the process couldn't have gone any smoother. I spontaneously decided to get my tragus pierced right after just because of how kind and efficient he was. I feel so bad for not remembering her name but the lovely woman Tuesday night helping with paperwork consultations at the front is amazing as well. I usually don't leave reviews, but I now have something permanent on my body that was not what I requested. Honestly, I understand what the vibes are at a tattoo shop. I'm not naïve, and I'm not a Karen. But this was hands-down the most frustrating experience I've had at a shop. And I'm from rude ass Los Angeles. I'm brand new to Houston, and I was looking for new artists. First of all, the vibe was a little fake as soon as I walked in. The employees at the front were friendly enough, just seemed a little trite. Second of all, the employee running the piercing counter upstairs was overwhelmed by customers. Not really something to complain about, except she completely ignored me. I had to interrupt her conversation just so I could ask about pricing bc she chose to help clients that arrived after me. And lastly, the biggest reason I'm here on Yelp at all, the artist that gave me my Fri the 13th tattoo wasn't friendly, barely spoke, and used black ink when I requested red (Circled on the consent form RED INK). His apology was ineffective and lacked authenticity. He didn't really have a solution to offer me, which is understandable bc what can we do at this point? The tattoo is finished. I understand that I could have confirmed with him about red ink only before we got started with the tattoo. And I contemplated doing that, but I also am an artist that works with clients. And I did not want him to feel like I was questioning his skills as a tattooist or a professional in general. Could that be considered my fault that I did not confirm details about something that's going to be permanent on my body? Maybe. My bad for assuming he knew how to thoroughly read a piece of paper. Could I have made a scene and gotten my little $20 back? Possibly. But I'm not wired like that bc he actually finished the job and did the work. So I just flat out left without any aftercare. He didn't offer it anyway. I'm not gonna offer any unsolicited advice on how to run a tattoo and piercing establishment, but hopefully this feedback will help better y'all's customer service and that particular artist's comprehension skills. I don't even know his name because he didn't introduce himself. In closing, I'm also not going to sit here and tell others not to go to this establishment. I just needed to vent and maybe I should've said something while I was there. But again, I too am a professional artist, and I was already fed up with the entire situation. Parking is a pain! But it's midtown so it's expected lol!!! But I was able to find street parking about 1 block from the Parlour. I decided to get a small tattoo on my forearm, impulsively. I called the shop to see if they accepted walk-ins on a Saturday night. The shop lady was like yes, they always accept walk-ins. PERFECT. Drove about 15 minutes from my place. Walked in, they were pretty busy but from what I observed, it was people mostly waiting for piercings. The shop lady asked me what I wanted, quoted me a price and have me complete paperwork. While waiting they called the other couple before me (even tho it's first come first served) and when I said something they were like oh well it'll be another 20 min. I came here to get my nose pierced for the first time and Karen, the woman who pierced it, was incredible! She was so sweet and easy to talk to. I was nervous, but she calmed my nerves and quickly pierced my nose without warning, which I was glad for as it didn't give me time to panic or allow anxiety to set in. Karen is also super knowledgeable and passes along her instagram in case you need to ask her any questions. I reached out a few times and she responded back in a timely manner, sometimes sending videos to help me better understand the answers to my questions. The parlor itself is very clean and the people behind the counter are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend coming here for piercings! I was recommended by my cousin to come here to get piercings because of their wide variety of earrings available. After reading tons of online reviews, I decided to go get my tragus and upper helix pierced here . I went around 3pm on Friday and didn't have to wait at all. Staff was friendly and the person who pierced my ear (I forgot his name) did a fantastic job at piercing! It was very quick and minimal pain which surprised me because I got a helix piercing a couple months earlier and it ended up hurting quite a bit. My only complaint is pricing. I understand that piercings can get pricy depending on where you go, how you get pierced, and what jewelry you get. I tried to do a lot of research on what is the best pricing for my current situation and I was very disappointed when I was told the price in person since it differed from what I read online. On this very Yelp page in the Ask Community section, there are multiple posts asking about the price of piercings and the business owner replies saying that it's $55 including jewelry and this was posted 6 months ago. When I went to get my piercings I was told that it was $25 for the piercing fee and the additional cost of what earring you choose. Since I was blindsided by this information I went ahead and looked around their options and they have so many beautiful earrings. Unfortunately though, most of the earrings they have are priced at $100+ and it didn't help that the lady who was helping me kept on bringing up $150-$300 earrings to me multiple times despite me saying that I wanted one of the cheaper options. The cheapest earring there are their titanium earrings that go for around $60-70 a piece. So in reality, the price of a piercing is starting at $85 per piercing. Even though they have tons of earring options, I felt about 15% of their earrings were under $100. I think it's totally justifiable that they have a lot of high end jewelry (which means high prices) due to quality and uniqueness but I just wish that they had more affordable options. I hope that they update their website with pricing and make their earring selections more visible since on their website you have to click the Merch section to see them (which I didn't click until now because I assumed Merch = store branding items like tshirts and stickers instead of Merch = their entire earring selection). I would definitely get my piercing done here again but only in the future when I make a decent amount of money and can afford their high end jewelry. For now, I will keep on going to my usual place that offers $20-55 for piercing AND jewelry. read more

I am very impressed. Tatoo parlors can feel a little intimidating to walk into. But based on the reviews, I went in one evening. The piercing studio is upstairs and feels very open well lit and welcoming. Karen was my piercer, and she really knew what she was doing. I got a belly button piercing and it went smooth and was almost painless hehe. She disinfected the piercing table after the person before me left and before I got on the table. I searched high and low to find a piercer to replace my belly button ring and I took a chance with 713 after seeing the reviews. I stopped by on a rainy Thursday and got seen by Izzy (spell check). She was so patient with me as I contemplated between the emerald 14k gold belly ring, or the titanium ones. I settled on the 14k gold as it's an investment, along with a lifetime warranty. Yes it was pricy but definitely worth it. Harvey replaced my ring for me within minutes and was so careful and had such a gentle touch. Almost made me want to get a piercing. I recommend 713 if you're looking for professional, polite and kind employees to take care of you. Also, when you call them to inquire about prices, STOP BEING RUDE AND HANGING UP IN THEIR FACES. I witnessed two people do that to Izzy while I was there and that's so disgusting. These people are just doing their job. If you don't like the price, just say, "ok, thank you" and then hang up.
