Picked up boneless wings for my husband to take to work for his lunch break and he ended up describing them as inedible. He described them as soggy and half cooked. Very disheartening as we've ordered food from there many times before and it's been pretty good, especially the bone-in wings!! I ordered the Philly Steak Cheese Fries and Strawberry Cheesecake as a delivery order. I have to say if you are hungry and looking for a gut bomb this fries dish delivers. I have to admit I was a little disappointed that they used frozen crinkle cut fries but the meal was exactly what I needed. The cheesecake was good but they messed up on the order. Let me tell you what my husband found this place and just had to bring me back my favorite is the chicken fingers with sauce on them not the side come with fries and a drink for a little over 8$. The place is much smaller than expected, but can sit a fair amount of people inside (there's outside seating available and most people were picking up to-go orders). I ordered wings and a pizza. The wings were good sized, cooked perfectly and coated well in the requested sauce. The pizza was a good mix of thinner crust on the topping part (not quite NY thin) but puffed up and chewy on the crust area for those liking thicker crust. The business is busy and on my evening was overwhelmed due to a staff shortage. I was told they expected to close early due to it. Be sure to call ahead and not be assumptive it's open just because the hours say so. As someone who grew up in Buffalo it's awesome and exciting to see a restaurant produce the same great taste and looks as back home like 716 Wings has done. 716 is the area code in Buffalo, NY it goes hand in hand with Buffalo much like wings and blue cheese, not ranch! I ordered delivery and I got hot wings - extra crispy, and extra wet. Whenever I order delivery I always order extra crispy as the wing has a tendency to get soggy in the time between the restaurant and my house. The biggest bummer was that the wings weren't as crispy as I'd hope and that's exactly what happened here. Nonetheless the wings were extremely wet, with two cups of blue cheese, plenty of veggies, and an extra cup of hot sauce. I'm impressed at the amount of sauce I was provided, usually it's more than enough to have some extra pooled in the paper for ease of dipping but the extra cup makes it all that much better. Lastly, I'll just say the parchment paper is very reminiscent of Buffalo and their presentation is excellent. As for the sauce it's your basic Franks red hot which is fine by me because anytime restaurants try to replicate Buffalos original sauce they (typically) can never get the consistency right with the oil, butter, and hot sauce. It never tastes like home and the Franks is a suitable replacement. I also ordered the wing wrap deal where I was given a chicken finger wrap and Cajun fries. The second biggest bummer of my order was that the Cajun seasoning wasn't as generously applied to the fries as the hot sauce was. Fries still were good though so not a total loss here. Surprisingly the wrap wasn't cut it, still it had that same great taste. Let me explain, back growing up in Buffalo, in the north east, they call subs and wraps many different names from hero, hoagies, grinders, bombers and submarines. In Buffalo it was typically submarines but I've seen a multitude of names across Ny. Now, that name isn't important but the consistency between the hot sauce and blue cheese. When done right, it'll create this great sweet, savory and spicy taste that just feels like home and I have to hand it to 716 because they nailed it here. Others may disagree but for any ole Buffalonian looking for something better then BDubs, you've found it in 716 Wings. read more

This is the brick and mortar extension of the Get Buffaloed food truck. They serve chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches and fries in this small carryout only storefront. The service was fast and friendly. I had 10 wings with the 716 XX hot sauce for around $14, which is a little high on the price scale to me. For that price, you can go to a sit-down wing place and be served. The wings were big and meaty and tasted like fresh chicken, not frozen so that's a big plus. The 716XX sauce was hot but left that burning sensation on the tip of my tongue and lips from using capsaicin oil for heat, which is a cheap and lazy way to make a sauce hot and adds nothing for flavor like using actual chiles. I wouldn't order it again. They had some interesting flavors like Chiavetta and Chic-N-Weck I might be tempted to try if I went back. They came with carrots or celery and a choice of blue cheese or ranch. I had blue cheese which good...it was thick, creamy and tangy. The carrots were those short, thick ones from a bag and not that tasty. I had really hoped they would have the Beef on Weck sandwich, which is phenomenal, from their food truck menu but they don't offer it. The guy said they may add it at some point. One of my favorite restaurants in Danville. They really know how to make some tasty wings, mainly because the owners are from Buffalo. 716 is actually the area code for Buffalo, NY! You can order them however you like. Crispy, all flats, all drums, etc. and always delicious. Better than BWW for sure, even though BWW has my favorite wing sauce ever with Thai Curry. The most surprising item on the menu is the pizza! It is not NY style pizza, so don't go into expecting it to be super authentic in that sense. But for what it is, it's awesome. Thick crust and a lot of cheese and toppings. I e heard this is "Buffalo style pizza" but I don't even know if that's a real thing. All I know is that it's good. They even have specialty pizzas like the Buffalo chicken pizza, taco pizza, and chicken bacon ranch. They're all great. The location itself has little rooms that are sports themed and you can enjoy the big game while eating your food. Pretty cool place. The owner's son was my waiter and bartender. He was very accomodating and allowed me to sit inside at the "bar area". It was actually a long bar type table inside one of the side rooms which also had a TV. They have good craft beer on draft. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered wings, but needed to place 2 orders in order to get 2 different sauces. That was one of the only flaws for now allowing the larger order with 2 sauces. I had the Buffalo as well as the spicy Thai. Both were very good. The wings were good size and nicely done without breading or being too overcooked. They do charge extra for celery, carrots and dressing. Another area of improvement needed. Overall the value was great. They did not require masks even with the owner's son not being vaccinated. Most there are not vaccinated and don't wear masks. Be cautious. read more

Native Buffalonian here, and I find the "716" part of the restaurant name a full lie. This place commits every pizza and wing sin imaginable. The pepperoni is flaaaaat, it looks cupped in the pics but not in reality. The fingers came dry with sauce on the side. Both pizza and fingers are served with ranch. Garlic butter is kinda overpowering in the very flat un-Buffalo crust. Aside from the insults to my hometown the restaurant is filthy. You have to dodge a bucket of slime water coming from the ceiling to use the disgusting unstocked bathroom. The tables are sticky, the chairs are sticky, basically if it's a touchable surface it's sticky. I only saw one employee when I was there and we waited 30 minutes for our food because we couldn't find her as she was outside in her phone. Have a visit to papa johns , 716 is awful. We stopped here for lunch on a Friday and I have to say, this meal was an all around five star hit. The wings were clearly right out of the fryer as were the excellent Cajun fries. My husband said his "Stinger" sandwich was very fresh and delicious. The owner came out and showed us around since they weren't too busy, which was fun.
