    Chicken ginger sauce - decent

A very enthusiastic and dedicated gentleman introduced their menu to our dinner party of 3. Friendly and nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is very "dark" as in very low lighting atmosphere so if you ate a lot like we did, you will be ready for bed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They play fusion music which has English and Thai in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The favorite appetizer was the chicken satay. Dinner entree was the shrimp Thai basil. Desert was the fried donut with ice cream. The curry puff appetizer wasn't "puff pastry" as I expected like most Thai restaurants but rather a thin but crunchy shell. Their specialty drink is equivalent to an Arnold Palmer. Personally, I much rather get steak at a steakhouse so I would skip the steak dish and go for the classic Thai food. This Thai food restaurant is definitely better than moon river on the other side of Danville. (In terms of flavor of food and service) parking situation is also much better at this location - lots of parking in the lot in front of the store.

Found this restaurant on Yelp based on the reviews -- and it did not disappoint! Everything was made fresh and was very tasty. We had Crab Rangoon that had a crispy outside and creamy inside, Bang Bang Shrimp that had a tender crispy outside and a tasty creamy inside, a wonderful beef dish with tender beef that's only occasionally on the menu since it has to simmer for a long time, and chicken pad Thai with a slightly sweet and spicy sauce and noodles with pleasing flavors throughout. It was a very pleasant eating experience and when I'm in the area again, I'll definitely swing by for more Thai food!

New favorite restaurant! We came in on a Sunday night, around 7:30pm, there was only a family in there. We were seated right away. The staff was so friendly and polite and explained the menu very well. I ordered the Thai iced tea which was yummy! We got crab rangoons and gyoza as the appetizer. Both were great, especially the crab rangoons, probably the best I've had. For my entree, I got the teriyaki chicken. Super yummy! Everything is made to order so it was fresh and hot. Overall, would love to come here again. Such a nice place.

Food was flavorful and very authentic. Lighting is a bit dim, but has a very tasteful setting. Service is excellent, served passionately. Sweet tea is indeed very sweet. It is a bit expensive, and servings are just the right amount. They are very passionate about the food that they serve and ready to make your eating experience the best.

First time being here and the food is amazing. I've got the curry chicken. My wife has got she got the same thing I got but not as hot and what did you get ma'am? Hi OK, yeah hibachi shrimp appetizers are amazing. Everything is on point here. Recommended to everyone.

Wow do not sleep on this place. We were greater with absolute hospitality. I was a little nervous about coming in (we arrived on a Sunday during that awkward time between lunch/ dinner). Had the beef salad (very fresh Larb). Dressing is light and refreshing. Beef freshly cooked. Pork bun was slightly sweet and moist. My husband had the steak and I had the green curry. I swear that curry paste tastes homemade. I've had a LOT of curry all over the US and have never had a fresher tasting one. Hands down a fantastic meal!! Will be glad to make the 40 min drive from Rockingham County, NC.

She actually looked up places and suggested Thai Chiang Mai. I never even knew it existed. It is tucked away on a side road that's easy to miss but now that I know where it is I'll definitely visit again. The inside is quant and charming and the service was attentive. I chose the yellow curry as it was on the lunch special for the day. Also opted for the papaya salad. It's a staple for me at most Thai restaurants and I can truthfully say this establishment had one of the best there is. It was sweet and spicy and vinegary .. well balanced. The yellow curry had so much flavor and just the right amount of spice. The lunch special comes with spring rolls and they were perfectly crispy. I will note they are on the more expensive side for lunch combos in the area but it's worth it. My lunch was over $30. I saw where the specials online had some marked as $8 but I believe they were about $17. Just a heads up.

I liked the ambience of the restaurant and our server was pleasant. The orange dragon roll with mango was sublime and I will definitely return just for that. On the downside, I found the other things I ordered somewhat inedible. The edamame wasn't steamed enough so it was incredibly difficult to pop them out of their pods to eat. I got tired of trying. My friend ordered the vegetable tempura app and she offered me a sweet potato since that is my favorite. It hadn't cooked all the way through in the center so again difficult to eat. The other roll I ordered had eel in it. Now I have eaten quite a lot eel before but I never had tasted eel so chewy. The mouth feel was so gross that I ended up spitting it out. I think this place has a lot of good qualities so I am willing to give them another shot but I would like to remind their chefs to slow down to ensure that the food is cooked more properly so it would be more enjoyable to its patrons.

Most places put a pepper symbol and it's not spicy at all, but this single red pepper symbol means business!!!!!! I'm sensitive to spice at the moment so eating my food was a bit of a marathon....but in a good way! Think runny nose & sweating hot with tons of delicious flavor. To start, we served wonton strips with a white yum yum type sauce which was a nice surprise. For our app we had the crab puffs (crab ragoons) which of course were not spicy, perfectly crispy and had the right amount of filling. I also ordered a dragon roll which came out after my main entree since the sushi bar was backed up. This actually worked out perfect because the cream cheese in the roll was a great way to calm the spice in my main entree. The mango and crab on the roll were very fresh, and the size was also pretty hefty for being an 8 piece roll. I could have easily made this into a lighter full meal. For my main entree I got the spicy basil with chicken (red pepper sign alert!!!), brown rice and miso soup. The miso soup was good as expected, the brown rice was cooked to perfection and served in a side bowl, and the main entree was plentiful with perfectly cooked veggies & chicken! This dish brought the heat but in a very good way!!! I couldn't get enough of that spicy basil flavor!!!! I only ate half the dish so looking forward to a delicious lunch today! Can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes but while I'm sensitive to spice at the moment I may avoid the pepper symbol for a bit!

While I would have been satisfied if it merely fulfilled a craving, Thai Square more than exceeded expectations. From an aesthetic standpoint, this is one of the nicer Thai restaurants in the area. It's bright and clean with a wall full of ornamental plates. Though it was busy at the time of my lunchtime visit, it seemed well-run. Staff were polite and attentive, and the kitchen had no trouble keeping up with demand. The som tam with shrimp was among the best versions of this dish that I've had. From the attractive plating to the freshness to the flavors (good amount of lime, not too heavy on the fish sauce), it was satisfying across the board. It wasn't at all spicy, which would ordinarily be a red flag (white people Thai food, five-yard penalty), but in fairness, it wasn't requested as such. Provided that Thai Square can bring the heat if you ask for it, the execution here is top-notch. I don't know if the rest of Thai Square's menu compares favorably to the dish that I had, but I hope to eventually find out. For Thai fans in Greensboro, this place is definitely worth a visit.
