But it is obvious that the students want to do their best. I had a service that none of the students had seen before, a braid perm. They kept coming by to see how it was done. I was so impressed with their level of excitement about learning a new process. And my cosmetologist, B, was awesome!!! She was on her feet for almost 6 hours straight and had a great attitude! It was her first perm, let alone one she had never heard of. And her fellow students jumped in whenever she needed help. I am impressed with their professionalism, desire to learn, and how they performed their services.

When it came time for the evening and the 1st solution applied to my hair and rods for the perm, I was forgotten and the solution which should have only been 20 minutes, 50 minutes later was finally washed out. Needless to say the student then started to take out the rods without applying the 2nd solution until I pointed out to her what needed to be done. No help from any instructors in the evening, even though they were clearly leaning up against the wall, talking and I expressed frustration about the perm, instructors did nothing! Evening instructors at this location are deceitful unfortunately. If you can make your hair appointment in the day, do so!

Trying to save some money I went here. I should've run. The girl helping me and the teacher Ms. Dee have very different hair than me. I offered what I knew about my hair (I'm a level 6, my hair lightens pretty quickly), and I was told "we'll see." I should've run. The long of the short is that I went in for baby lights. I saw them separating my hair in big sections. I should've run. Instead I ended up with BLOCK HIGHLIGHTS. Like straight up 90s style. I've never cried over my hair. But I was distraught. I couldn't speak. I checked out and I was sobbing before I ran to the car. (I ended up going to a very expensive place that is well known to spend way more to have it fixed--save yourself the time and tears--go to the fancy places).

I thought a beauty school would be teaching its students how to lighten hair to a lighter color I was told by Miss mark the teacher, who I thought would be a professional hairdresser, that they would only be able to darken it & she actually said they couldn't tell me what color the final color would be. I was shocked that they couldn't lighten it. Mrs mark was rude & had to tell Ashley to start at the beginning & ask me questions about my previous box color & Ashley acted like she's never done that before. Very shocked that they are such a bad school & let students that don't know the first steps color hair. I left quickly before they ruined my hair. Please avoid this "school".

My relatively simple cut took more than 2 hours--they do warn about this in advance. My stylist Alex was super nice & I think the cut came out fine. Exactly what I was looking for at this price. She was very good about getting as far as she could & then finding a supervisor when she needed a little help. I'm taking off a star because I waited in chairs for about 15 minutes after my appointment time. Also at the end they asked if I wanted to get cash back for my stylist & I got confused & the girl at the desk acted pretty impatient. So FYI in case you also get confused, if you want to tip on a card, they make you get cash back to give them.
