Sad to say it was the most disgusting experience I have ever experienced. I came to this salon with the intentions of getting my hair and nails done on a short notice. At first glance I realize that the salons appearance was not as clean as it was described to be, and the lady at the main desk who apparently ended up being the owner of this salon, was probably the most arrogant and belligerent out of all the stylist there. It seems like they did not like the fact that I was of hispanic decent and was carrying a spanish conversation with my friend. Once we proceeded to the nail station we clearly saw what seemed to be a bunch of dirty and unkept ed equipment, the lack of sanitation and cleanliness was evident. I went there today on a yim because my normal place is not open on Sundays. I called and was told they have availability. The place doesn't look like much on the outside, but on the inside it looks excellent; they really spent money on decorating and making it look like a nice salon. It's modern and brightly lit, clean. The people were very pleasant to deal with. I had Suzana do my haircut, she was very capable; asked the right questions and cut my hair with scissors and used a little of the clippers to do around the ears. I really like that because some places seem to rely too heavily on doing 90% of your haircut with clippers and then just a little with the scissors, the problem with doing that is that your hair looks like it's been cut instead of looking styled. read more

David Tal a Hair nightmare!! He cut my hair far shorter than I wanted without verifying how short I wanted it. I had hair lower than my hips and he cut it higher than my waist! I was incredibly distressed over the situation and asked to speak with the owner/supervisor, and he told me that he was the owner. He lied! A nearby hairdresser helped me speak to the real owner and she was completely surprised at how much he cut off at once too. She could not believe it! I ended up getting the haircut for free, but that doesn't change the fact that it will take years for my hair to grow back to the length it once was. I bought a Groupon last night for this salon because the referrals for this place were fantastic. Little did the owner, Gail, (who did my hair) know, but my hair was in major need of a long restorative process from a botched job that no one knew would require over 8 hours of work. Not only did she take me in at 9:30am to do my hair, but she brought me back in the evening after I worked to continue the repair process and is bringing me back tomorrow on her day off to take care of the final bits. Gail, the owner, has a professionalism and a warm personality that stands out above the rest. She promised a result and is standing by it despite the frustration and patience it takes to fix the mistake of another stylist. Gail has a lot of integrity and a BEAUTIFUL talent! Bought a Groupon to have my hair colored, cut, and conditioned. Annabelle did my hair--she did a fabulous job! Not only is she extremely sweet, but she is also excellent at what she does--a true professional. Barbara helped with the conditioning and washing, and she was also wonderful--it was like a full-on head massage and if felt like heaven! I was treated like royalty from the moment I walked in the door. The receptionist greeted me cheerfully and served me coffee and a biscotti. I moved to Miami fairly recently, and I've sort of bounced around with different Groupons trying to find somewhere I really like, and I will definitely be back here! I went to 770 Salon for the first time today. What a nice surprise. Very unassuming from thd outside, but pleasant and comfortable inside. Ray did my cut, color, and blow dry. I must say, the color looks like it is right out of a hair ad in Vogue. So beautiful, and just what I wanted. It looks photoshopped! The cut is great, the blow dry amazing. I had the worst shellac manicure I have ever had. I could see it was not done properly before I left and was peeling off in 2 days. Buyer beware if you buy a groupon, the manager would not honor it and said it was a groupon mistake. I was charged for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure almost $60 and when I said I have never paid that much, she said it was "because" of the area and it was on West Dixie Hwy not Aventura. I was very disappointed with their service and my hair. Monica ruined my hair. The manager had to step in and help her correct the copper colored highlights that I did NOT ask for. Monica was very distracted with other customers and her cell phone which lead for her to forget that I had a toner on and ended up darkening my hair. I went here with a Groupon for haircut, conditioning, and highlights. I showed up to my appointment, the first one of the day, only to be greeted rudely by who I later found out was the owner at the front desk. She could barely look up to acknowledge me to tell me my hairdresser wasn't there yet. No explanation. I sat there for 20 minutes, then another person took me back to a chair, where I sat for another 20 minutes, totally unattended to by anyone, until my lady showed up. No apologies for being 40 minutes late, no nothing. She asked me what I was there for and I explained what was included with the Groupon. Without asking me anything further, she left and came back with the color for the highlights. No asking me what I wanted, if there was a look I was going for, nothing. As it turned out, the color was lighter than what I usually get. Not a big deal, but different. I'm used to people talking with me first about what I usually get done and what I want. Let's move on to the cut. She says, "I'll just trim it. That's all you need." Again, no asking me about what I want at all. Fortunately, I only wanted about 2" cut off, but I still would have appreciated being asked. Then I did ask her to cut layers in my hair, which I always get because my hair is so flat. And she said "No." Umm what? But I want layers. And she said, "No, those won't look good." A little back and forth ensued, and ultimately she would not cut the layers. She told me if I really didn't like how it was later I could come back. Frankly I think she was lazy and didn't want to do it. Bottom line: I would not come back here. I felt like I was treated rudely by the owner, the stylist in no way seemed to care about what I actually wanted or make sure that I was a pleased customer, I needed to wait 40 minutes for the first appointment of the day with no apologies, and I just really didn't feel comfortable being there. Customer service is important and this place just doesn't have it. Plenty of other salons to go to. read more

I bought a Groupon for a haircut, conditioning, and full highlights after reading good reviews about this salon here on yelp. I went in to the salon and overall, they were nice and service was good. Maria gave me a haircut, the conditioning treatment, and ombre highlights which looked amazing. The color looks super natural and I always get compliments on my hair. Maria did an outstanding job and was a sweetheart. I liked the salon so much, I decided I wanted to buy another Groupon before the deal ended. I just didn't know if I would need a color retouch or full highlights again so I called to find out. I asked the lady on the phone and she then asked me "were you planning on buying a Groupon?" And before I could even finish saying yes, she interrupted me and stated "NO, Groupons are for first time clients only, you can't buy a Groupon if you've already been here." I would've paid full price to get my color touched up by this salon because I trusted it but whoever that was on the phone ruined that. I have no problem with the fact that they only accept Groupons for first time clients, but there is no need to be rude about it. They're okay when you're a first time customer but forget about coming back unless you want to be treated like crap!!! read more

Idk what it was about this place but even though I didn't hate it, there's something about it I didn't love/like about it. Came in with a groupon 15 minutes prior to my appt 145 pm and was told to leave and come back and they will call me when my stylist is ready for me :/ Weird right? 230 I get a phone call and they are ready for me. Actually my stylist was really nice and introduced himself so that's basically all I can say about him. I did tell him that I've been growing out my hair for the past 2 yrs and I love it but I just don't know what to use in it or how to style my hair. He just trimmed my hair and told me he added a few layers and THAT'S IT. I then went to another gentleman to blow dry my hair and he did a wonderful job. Now weeks later I still don't know what to use or how to style my long hair other than straighten it. Plus my layers now flip out which I can't stand. After doing a search of hair salons close to where I live, I decided to give 770 a try. I read a lot of good reviews and I was in dire need of an updo and a pedi for my job's holiday party this evening. I walked in without an appt and was greeted warmly. I was asked if I had an appt to which I said no and I didn't get any attitude which was a plus. On the contrary, they were very accommodating and set me up with Eric, one of their stylists. He promptly went to work and and gave me a great inexpensive updo. He then asked if he could do something to my eyes to improve my look to which I most certainly agreed to and he took out his makeup kit and gave me the most beautiful eye makeup touch up ever. I then went on to Julie for a fabulous pedi. I loved their spa chairs and my pedi was heavenly. They also sell nice custom jewelry and I bought some some earrings and bracelets to go with my gown. I found the place through GROUPON and when I got there they already told me the $59 price is for shorter, smoother hair only. GO FIGURES FIRST RED FLAG BAIT AND SWITCH. This place is an absolute nightmare - BE AWARE - I had a keratin treatment done for almost double the groupon price listed and was assured it would be fine, come to find out that after two days (and going on for over 4 weeks now) my hair was falling out 20x more than before. I had to buy extensions because my hair was ruined. I lost 2 inches of my hair and my hair went back to its original texture within the same week. I was absolutely devastated. I spent $200.00 on hair products to treat and reverse the DAMAGES that the salon caused. I called numerous times and the stylist who did my hair took the call and said I would get a call back from the owner about the issue, which never happened. After 5 days with no response I contacted my bank to dispute the charges since they said they delivered the service. They delivered "A" service that is absolutely sub par and these people should not be in business. I will now contact all other sources to spread the word and have officials look into their business practices since these people should not service anybody!!! read more

I was very disappointed to say the least. My groupon of what I thought would take an hour turned out to be 3 hrs. Although, it may have been best to make an appointment the door to 770 Salon says, 'walk in welcome'. If I had known that after an hour of waiting for a certain technician would take longer than anticipated I would have made an appt. The words were she was having car trouble until after the hour that she must have forgotten the time changed. But, I was never specific to which technician by name as I had never gone. This 'Nicole' is infamous I thought. But, anyway I had to find patience. Good thing Sunday is not my Sabboth! I just thought I am here and will never go back. To no avail, Rosy and Vernetta were fabulous, very patient such as myself after being ordered to assist me as Ms. Nicole never showed up. Getting past all the wait the place is nice but let me not forget there was no comp champagne in fact only comp was coffee and stale pastalittos for all the wait! When called the owner the next day, she was rude over the phone and said she would have someone take my number to call me back,..She never did.
