    Salmon

I came here on a Sunday with a group of friends. The place was busy! It's only street parking but I had no problem finding a spot. They gave us a nice large table and didn't rush us. I didn't have a cocktail but they all looked really good and everyone enjoyed them. I had the salmon and it was outstanding. One of the best pieces of salmon I've had in a long time. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Celebrated my 40th here and had the best time. The staff was excellent and my family and I enjoyed our food. We had some shared appetizers like the oysters and the barata with tomatoes and it was so good. The chicken dish with mashed potatoes was tasty. The chicken was tender. I had the steak and subbed the side for mashed potatoes and asparagus. Honestly, it was all good. The decor was classy! I felt seen and celebrated. I would definitely go back!!

Loved this place great location I went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised how good the pear salad was. Also I loved their calamari it's one of the best I've tasted in the area. The service was great they know everything in the menu. The place is very clean and large they also got private events they had baby shower but didn't interfere with my lunch either way. I'd definitely go back again and try their dinner next time

RSVP: not crowded on Sat evening. And can probably walk in. Decor/service : a great decoration with friendly and informative service Food: we tried their and lollipop chicken both are amazingly delicious. Price: a bit pricy but worth the experience. Overall: not bad at all! Worth the try.

What a good time sitting at the bar. Eric, the bartender was a whole vibe. We laughed and he impressed us with mixology. Dining in: Large diningroom with a private dining area with decorative wine walls Great cocktail and wine menu. Enjoyed, the fried pizza dough with burrata great pairing with Sancerre. Lollipop chicken appetizer was very dry with lots of sauce. Great service and attentive staff pricey lots of parking outdoor seating

Wanted to a grab a drink, remembered seeing this place, so I came by. Large venue with an upscale NYC vibe. Metered street parking & a very small private lot. Only sat at the bar for drinks, but eventually ordered some appetizers. Service was great, our bartender was so nice & her drink mixes were perfection. Wish I had caught her name to shout her out. Will be back to explore more of the menu. Grades: Lychee Martini (not pictured): A Apple Martini: A+ Truffle Parmesan Fries: A Shrimp Cocktail: A

First time here got it from the real housewives of New Jersey. The aesthetic is beautiful when you walk in there's a fire pit wide, open decor, classy liquor bottles on the wall very cozy. Our reservation was honored. Service was very good, but also we felt that we were rushed. Everything came out very quickly. We were done eating in an hour and a half. Food was good I would go back. Parking was a little rough. It's street parking only.

Relatively expensive and tasty The room is well appointed and comfortable, taking advantage of the high ceiling. The food is good, not great. The presentation is nice and the portions are generous. The service is attentive and helpful. Overall Vine and Oak is a good addition the Cranford restaurant options.

I came to vine and oak for brunch for my friend's birthday. The restaurant has a classy look to it. The staff was really nice and accommodating. The butter for the bread was unique, it had a sweet herby taste to it. The tres leches french toast was different than what i expected. I thought it would be soaked like a traditional tres leches cake but it wasn't. Nonetheless, it was still tasty. The springe sangria was a nice cocktail. One of my friends really loved the fish tacos and everyone enjoyed the fries. Keep in mind that there is street parking available but its on a busy street. It was an overall nice time and I would love to come back for dinner.

Saw friends post about Vine and Oak Tavern. Decided to make reservations. We arrived early- had drinks at the bar. Then proceeded to the dinning area. We said we were going to share the beet salad- hubby and I each got a salad. Beautifully presented. Entrees were tasty. Really liked the crème brûlée. Nice ambiance. Our Server Danny was attentive. Silverware changed with each course. He brought me a to go container and bag for my entree! Thank you Street parking.

First time was a winner. We shared the peach salad which was done very nicely. My wife chose the pork chop and i chose the braised short rib. Needless to say both dishes were delicious. Had a nice bottle of wine the creme brulee and the night was a hit. The place is very pretty with a NYC and VEGAS bar setup. We truly enjoyed our first time and will be back again. Service also was good. Prices for a steak house are very reasonale.

One of the times I went was on a Wednesday and the place was packed our wait was about 20 mins and it was well worth it. The menu changes daily so don't go back expecting to get the same thing you ordered the last time. To be quite honest of all the items I ordered two did not stand out although sounding promising The lobster roll, the bread was mediocre and the filling was scarce. The pizzette was also ehhh. Nothing impressionable. However the oysters, fully dressed and ready for consumption were pops of freshness and flavorful jellies exploding in your mouth. The corn was a nice touch. The mussels were in this sauce that was to die for. Full of garlic and creaminess paired with about 3 slices of sourdough bread perfect for soaking. The crostini appetizer, drooling thinking about it. Prosciutto with honey and mozzarella is the best combination.now for the chicken Milanese. Perfectly crisp with tomatoes I'm not sure what they put in the salad but delicious! Overall it's worth a happy hour with great deals. And even the dinner entrees are worth the visit. Third time back will be soon.

My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and a refreshing mocktail to drink made for a perfect meal. Sweetie ate a pasta bolognese (I think) which looked and ate good, and drowned it with a nice glass of red wine. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.

For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

The employees don't walk the floor ... there are lots of young-ish employees sitting at desks who have all the personality of robots. Seriously, after interacting with a few of them, I wondered if the store was closing because they seemed so put out to talk with me. The cashier was the same way. The upper level is where all the liquor is ... a very good selection. Not quite Total Wine ... They had very few rum brands and very few bottles of good gin. They did have a few bottom-level allocated items ... but no Forteleza, Pappy, Weller, etc. The markup was also incredibly high ... $150 for a bottle of Old Fitz 7 Year old bourbon. That's $70 at Total Wine. I left with a few cheap bottles at a very good price ... but they didn't have a lot of high end wines for purchase. Mostly $12 - $25 on the shelves. They had some 'special wines' they were pushing hard, showcasing a 96 point scored wine they claimed was $100 but marked down to $30. The 96 rating came from James Suckling (the biggest scammer in wine ratings) ... after a little googling, I saw that the average score was 92 and no other stores seemed to carry this. It was just okay. I was very disappointed they didn't have much Bordeaux and what they did have was a mish mash of average vintage years. Overall, I think I will skip coming back. It wasn't really anything special in terms of prices or selection. The little high end international grocery store and cheese shop was pretty cool though. It took over 60 minutes to get our wings! Apparently there was some sort of mix up in the kitchen & while we were understanding, what threw us for a loop was that even though our wings were DELAYED, our server was hesitant to offer complimentary time in our karaoke room while we waited. Right at the 60-minute mark, he was quick to offer two options - our wings to go or a table in the dining room. In the end, we had to negotiate an extra hour in the karaoke room since our food took SO long to come out. When paying the check, we were surprised to see a charge for food we never ever received! Garlic fried rice was okay, but not the best. Also seems like they don't give you a side of pickled radish at this point, but maybe that's because we're in Jersey. Also the kimchi fries weren't what I expected. What the fries were crispy and tasty, they just give you a tiny cup of kimchi cheese sauce. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I expected the fries to be way more loaded. I ordered for pickup and it did take a lot longer than expected. I also felt sorry for the hostess, who was running around trying to help.
