This has been a regular visit the past couple days due to it being a convenient place to meet up with friend while in town. Everything in my previous review still stands - it's still an interesting hybrid of family restaurant, sport bar and lounge. Since my previous review I've had some of the food and it's as expected - average to a bit below average fitting for how I viewed the place before having food. I've managed to try a burger here and was disappointed. I asked for medium-well, it was beyond well done. Dry and not very well seasoned at that. The fries were unacceptable. Plentiful but I'm almost positive these are Ore-Ida frozen fries. The bar pie was also pretty sad. It's about 4 medium slices of thin crust pizza with average sauce flavor. It seemed a bit burnt. I also got a plate of buffalo wings to share with my buddies. Again average. It wouldn't be so bad but the prices are pretty high. All of the things I've tried were $15+ and they ranged from not good to average. The bartenders do put a lot of effort in interacting with you and do well keeping drinks going but the food and the experience is a bit dicey. The locals that frequent here are friendly and have resulted in conversations which help the experience here. read more

My husband and I would return to this location specifically for Anna! She is friendly and provided great service. We enjoyed our meals (the Philly cheesesteak and salmon). Also, the Paloma's she made were wonderful. I will say we were not too fond of the gentleman that was sitting by the door with the blue shirt. I'm not sure if he's the owner or what role he plays here, but he was not friendly at all - seems he was friendly to everyone else...said hello and good night, but not to us! read more

Visited this pub one day late after work because it was new to my area . The kitchen was already closed which closed at 10pm so I just ordered 2 drinks which were strong and amazing. My bartender " Anna" was courteous and know how to make a good cocktail. I really enjoyed the " honey suckle tequila" .. I will return to try more cocktails and get something to eat . Although the drinks are a-little pricey. Each cocktail was $15. There is a small parking lot on the side of the establishment . My 5 star review is only based on the drinks I tried, Anna's service, and the ambiance which is a newly structured bar. read more

We had a great family dining experience at Avenue Pub this week. The kids all found something they loved on the menu. The food all came out well cooked. We cannot say enough about the massive burgers! We will be coming back to try more of the menu for sure! read more

My wife and I recently ate here for the third time since they opened. It is right around the corner for where we live so hopefully that it could be come a regular spot for us. Not so. Three strikes and we are done. The food was mediocre at best and the prices are exorbitant IMHO. My wife order the Chicken Savoy. Nothing could be farther from what chicken savory is supposed to be. They brought her two stacked breaded chicken cutlets covered with some melted cheese. Yikes! $22 I had an Italian hot dog. After asking the waiter why there were no potatoes on it he had to show me that there were a couple of tiny potato slivers hidden between the roll and the dog. That is not the way it supposed to be. My wife also had a cocktail that was $15! This is NOT a local pub. There is absolutely 0 ambiance and at 6pm on a Saturday, we were the only people in the place! read more

Brand new local spot, just opened day after Christmas. Nicely decorated, Large seating area inside. On this week night there were a few families with small children and several patrons at the bar. I sat at the bar. Took a minute for attendant to get to me. I ordered the bar pie (figured it was a safe bet) since it's my first time eating here. The staff were friendly. Honestly I feel the bar pie was just frozen pizza. Don't think they make it in house. I say this because I love pizza and am a self-proclaimed connoisseur. Now with that being said, this is just a neighborhood spot serving up common bar food. Therefore I'd probably stop in again, maybe try a burger but really just go for a drink. read more

I went to Ave Pub on Sunday to watch a little football ...the place is very very clean neat...modern decor. Prices arent bad either. Decent pub grub. Friendly services.......CONS: No atmossphere. No Atmosphere..Super quiet...No energy. I was falling asleep watching the games and I was there in the middle off the afternoon. No music. THe place would be a good wine bar. Nothing in the place made want to stay and watch football. Most sports bar are loud..rowdy..high energy especially on NFL sunday. Some drink and food special that have a football or sport theme would help. No window signs. Nothing that would made want to come in the place if I was driving. Very sleepy presentation. Put some signs on the windows that advertise sport specials food and drinks. ....I left and walked in to another bar...I thought I was at the Superbowl..the place was packed....the energy was up..people rooting for their favorite team.... read more

Great atmosphere, beautifully decorated. Plenty of tv's (over 10 oversized) a great addition considering there's nothing like this in the area. Great mix of bar food and restaurant food. Great prices on everything considering today's inflation. For everyone who left a review that was negative, understand that this place just opened and is still getting in to the swing of things. People can be so critical of places now a days when they are just getting started. Give these guys a chance to get their ball rolling. The owner is a local retired fire chief and has built and operated everything from gyms to restaurants and is trying to bring a safe and fun spot for local families to get together and have a great time. We thoroughly enjoyed this place and plan on making it a weekly spot. read more

First time here, we were so excited but it was an epic fail. We arrived and sat quickly, place was not too crowded for a Friday night so we were very eager to dig in. Menu is a good mix of bar food and standard restaurant fare and a pretty good bar menu. The staff seemed friendly enough and our waiter was very engaging and polite which had us feeling good, but that is where it all went downhill. We ordered pretty simply, nothing crazy and waited well over an hour before we saw the first sight of food, in fact we watched as other people who were seated after us ordered, ate and left. When we asked our waiter, he apologized but that did not bring anything any quicker, in fact we waited another 15 minutes before a manger/owner came to apologize, yet still no food, but other tables seemed to be getting served with no problem. We asked for our appetizers or anything to at least keep the two kids with us happy until their food arrived and we even had to wait longer for 2 bowls of potato chips. Finally all the food came at once, appetizers and entrees together, orders were incorrect but by this time we would have eaten cardboard. The pizza appetizer was under cooked and was in fact , like eating cardboard. The calamari was dry and inedible as the accompanying sauce was similar to a cement like texture. We did receive apologies from the waiter, even though it was not his fault, but to be honest, he seemed as if we were a bother to him and he did offer free desserts, which of course, never happened. When the bill came, they had removed the charge for one of the items which was a paltry attempt to make amends, when they realized that we were not happy with that, the manager/owner came over and said he would take care of it and then removed a whopping 10%...... needless to say this place which we so eagerly anticipated is now off the go to list. Their customer service skills are sorely lacking and their awareness of the running of a restaurant are even worse. I cant think of even one reason to give to anyone to try this place. Sad that after all this time and hoping for a nice spot to have a drink and hang out, that this is the best we could get. The owners seriously need to work on their customer service skills or be more hands on in the running of the kitchen, what was really upsetting to us was the indifference shown to customers with children who were waiting long past a reasonable time and expected to just put up with it. Hopefully there will be another restaurant opening soon that will have a proper management team in place, one with actual people skills. I would have given zero stars but that isn't a thing on Yelp. Honestly couldn't find one thing worthy of a star, unless management addresses any of the concerns that were expressed by numerous other reviewers,I couldn't even consider this place again. A new business that expects to succeed should be looking to correct any issues immediately. You can't use the new business excuse when you are charging regular prices read more

Great experience at Avenue Pub! We went for the first time tonight with our two kids, and the food and prices were great for families. Typical bar fare, but everything came out as expected and tasty. The service was wonderful- sweet servers and other staff all engaged with our kids and made sure we were enjoying. Return visit to Avenue Pub. A really nice crowd for a Thursday afternoon! Bar was hopping and a mix of business people, families and friend groups occupied the tables. Our server, Ralph, was friendly, professional and attentive. I tried the Eggplant Parmesan entree and it was delicious - fresh, well prepared and a good-sized portion. 2.5 stars - went on 12/29/2023 1 star for the Guinness - tasted great and poured correctly and served in a proper Guinness branded pint .5 star for Wings - decent wings but @ $15 for 6 wings (quantity not disclosed on menu) I felt robbed 0 stars for pace of food service - it took forever and they was nobody there 0 stars for chicken parm sandwich - ordered by my 21 year old college age student who eats them everywhere he goes - he took two bites and was done 0 stars for burger - ordered by my 19 year son - he finished it said it was the 11th worst burger on his top 10 list so far. 1 star the Turkey Sloppy Joe - I ate half there and took the other half home. We've driven by many times and finally tried out Avenue Pub for a casual local dinner. As a fairly new restaurant, it's really roomy and nicely decorated inside. Lots of tables well spaced and nice bar. Very friendly service. While there are many TVs and games playing, it's not overly noisy. Nice pub-style menu - we both had salads with grilled chicken and they were delicious and generous portions. Family friendly with kids menu. Good drinks menu. Food offerings include pub-style appetizers, burgers (including veggie option), sandwiches, some dinner platters and more. Reasonably priced. Will add to our local rotation. The burger was great the first time, the second over-seasoned, the fries over-salted. No consistency. Wait staff efficient and friendly. Ambiance depends on which night--skip karaoke of you want a pleasant meal. Having to endure loud phone conversations seated at the bar will drive away business, but again, not something front-of-house managers with no experience would understand. The door greeter was great. The service from our waiter took forever. I advised my waiter that I did not like the taste of my appetizer once the bill came. I asked him if the appetizer was still on the bill and his response was YEAH. He took forever in between checking on us to see if we needed anything and also misinformed us of the time the kitchen closed. The prices were really good. The food was not so good it could be a really nice place if the service was decent.
