An older man did my nails. They tried to convince me at first to do acrylic but now I know why. It was probably his first time attempting Gel X. I don't have a picture of before these since a lady "tired" fixing them since they were worst. I started a new job with these UGLY nails. You tell me? A few days later, I had them removed on a Tuesday since they are closed on Monday. They insisted they were "beautiful." They asked if I wanted acrylic, again. I just wanted them OFF and they were causing pain on my nail beds! At the end they said "no refunds, we can give you a discount next time," I then asked for a partial refund and they said "no refunds, okay next time free for you. I have a girl that works weekends and she can so nice for you." And I did speak up doing the process of getting my nails done.

I usually call before I come to the shop and they have my Vietnamese coffee ready. On January 8th, I went into 79 Nails and Hair to get a manicure. This was only my second time at their establishment. The nail job was okay, but what what pissed me off was the young guy that was doing my nails was obviously sick. Although he was wearing a mask, he SHOULD NOT have been working in a close face to face environment with the public. Now, before he even started my nails I noticed he was sick and asked him directly, "dude are you sick?" His response was that he had allergies. I told him thats not allergies you're sick. As he's wiping his nose against his arm and he has my hand i could tell he had fever, because his hands were burning up. Here's the reason I will never go back to them. I asked if they had an extra mask a lady which was this guy's mom gave me a mask that stank and was damp in some spots. I had all kinds of thing going through my mind. Like what should I do? Is this a fresh brand new mask or did she pull it out of a drawer something that maybe someone like this guy was wearing and shoved it into a drawer? Idk, but I don't trust them. Eventually, the mother took over to finish the job which I was relieved, but it was too late. That Monday I had a scratchy throat, and by Tuesday afternoon I was toast. I missed three days of work, because i contracted COVID, because of this knuckle head, and I have to get clearance to go back to work, due to i work in a health care environment. This company didn't consider some of their clientele may have upper respiratory issues such as myself, and now my wife contracted it from me. Can't believe I gave them a tip for getting me sick. I'll never go back. read more

It was AMAZING they did a great service with everything my French tip at the cutest toes and nails. Great place, price, and people! I usually get a gel pedicure and dip manicure from here. Reasonable prices, and provide a quality service each time. I had a bad experience with another nail salon, and I found 79 Nails and Hair to help me fix my issue, and now I regularly go to just them. I appreciate their effort because usually when you get dip nails, the "manicure" aspect of it is nonexistent. But not this place! They cut my cuticles and really make my nail beds look super nice before the dip even goes on. Love my regular nail spot and love supporting a small family business. The dad is a great manicurist, and so are the two sisters! The mom is usually the one that does hair, and they all make a great team. read more

$10 mens haircut is terrible. I have a simple haircut and I even had a picture as a reference for the lady in "chair 3" which is obviously not the owner who I believe works in chair 1. I asked for a high fade and a trim up top.... What I got is a non blended mid fade on one side and a mediocre low fade on the other side.... The top of my head looks like a damn mushroom cloud cut... I have no idea how an Asian hair stylist cutting asian hair with a typical Asian hairstyle can butcher me up this bad.. Yes it's a $10 mens cut but damn man for real?!?! That's what I get for doing a convenience cut next door to my chiro appointment... I've had $10 haircuts closer to home and I've never had it this bad. I'm just trying to help another dude avoid what happened to me. read more

Came here after finding them on Google and wasn't disappointed. I requested an appointment online and the owner replied within minutes. Walked in with my mom and everyone greeted us with a smile. They so us in right away and there was no waiting. All 4 girls in the salon were all very kind and talkative. Usually in salons they try and push unnecessary stuff to do on you. None of the girls here were pushy and only did what me and my mom wanted. Place is super clean and organized. I would recommend 100. For both pedicure &manicure $30. Came here after my friend suggested and i absolutely fell in love with my hair afterward I did a Keratin Leave In Treatment, it took a quite of a time (approx for 1-2 hours depend on how long & thick your hair is) to finish the treatment and it lasted up to 6 months or more. Totally recommended this treatment for any who got hair damaged or breakage after bleached hair. My hair looks completely stronger, healthier and shiny too. Worth the price & time for this treatment. Staff is super caring and friendly. My mom, sister and I love coming here to relax and enjoy getting pampered. The guy that usually does my pedicures is just amazing! He is very attentive and makes sure you're comfortable. (I'm sorry I don't know his name ) All the ladies talk to you and make you feel welcomed as well. I would have loved a sincere apology from Ellen but at least the owner seemed apologetic for my horrific experience. I will not be returning because I am not risking getting my cuticles cut and infected a third time. I hope they will learn from this and be more careful in the sensitive parts of a client's nails. ------------ Unfortunately I did not want to write this review but after receiving such a nonchalant response from the owner and nail artist themselves, I feel like it is my responsibility to write an honest review about my experience here. I had such a wonderful experience getting my nails done in Korea so I wanted to look up a place that offered Korean style nails. I found purrple nails which was conveniently located near me with a staff filled of Korean artists. My first experience was with Soo and she did fine I guess. I like that she was detailed about her design but she did cut my cuticle once and was very rough with drilling. For those who don't know, drilling gets hot and the artist should know to lift it every few seconds to not burn the person's skin. Because I liked the design so much, I made a second appointment to give another artist a try. This second appointment was with Ellen. She was sooo rough when it came down to removing the polish and cleaning and cutting the cuticles. One of my cuticles started bleeding a lot and she just used the dust to stop the bleeding but did not apologize once. I let it go. But after getting home, I noticed my cuticles and fingers were so tender and red. I decided to let time heal but it's been a week and my right thumb is still swollen and tender. It's painful to touch. I told the owner and Ellen and after some back and forth, they finally did apologize. However it left kind of a sour taste in my mouth because it just seemed like they brushed it off thinking 10 percent off the next appointment would really make up for the pain I'm having in my finger. Not sure if I will come back. The owner asked me to try another artist but how do I prevent this from happening a third time?

Horrible. Zero star…read more Made an appt and told them what I want done. My appt time was ~1.5 hours before they close. I was excited and drove 1/2 hour to try Korean nail salon. Prep for gel plus 1 extension took more than 2 hours then after the prep, they filed my nails down. They filed it so short and was unattentive that they filed off my skin and it started to bleed. It took longer than expected and I had to leave and was to return the next day. Thankfully I left because my filed down skin continued to bleed for an hour or more after. Gel and design took another ~2 hours. Total time almost 4 hours (+ 2 hours of driving time). Price was almost double other places I go to. Then less then 10 days after, the entire gel came off for one nail...next day, another...and next day a couple more. At least it came off neatly rather than chipped. At this point, I easily peeled off the rest. I messaged them and they offered to give me a free redo. Thank you but no thank you. I am not about to waste another 4+ hours and spend gas money all to risk getting an infection. Please hire properly trained and certified nail techs. Because other reviews have mentioned nail tech cutting down cuticles to the point of bleeding and nails chipping or coming off.

My cuticles just hurt so much from getting cut by the drill.
