An older man did my nails. They tried to convince me at first to do acrylic but now I know why. It was probably his first time attempting Gel X. I don't have a picture of before these since a lady "tired" fixing them since they were worst. I started a new job with these UGLY nails. You tell me? A few days later, I had them removed on a Tuesday since they are closed on Monday. They insisted they were "beautiful." They asked if I wanted acrylic, again. I just wanted them OFF and they were causing pain on my nail beds! At the end they said "no refunds, we can give you a discount next time," I then asked for a partial refund and they said "no refunds, okay next time free for you. Got a manicure and pedicure. They work a little messily- I still had polish all over my hands when I left. I don't recommend getting a design- I was surprised by the price ($40) up from a regular gel ($25) manicure alone. I did not love the design. I would not pay $40 for this quality, sorry. On January 8th, I went into 79 Nails and Hair to get a manicure. This was only my second time at their establishment. The nail job was okay, but what what pissed me off was the young guy that was doing my nails was obviously sick. Although he was wearing a mask, he SHOULD NOT have been working in a close face to face environment with the public. Now, before he even started my nails I noticed he was sick and asked him directly, "dude are you sick?" His response was that he had allergies. I told him thats not allergies you're sick. As he's wiping his nose against his arm and he has my hand i could tell he had fever, because his hands were burning up. Here's the reason I will never go back to them. I asked if they had an extra mask a lady which was this guy's mom gave me a mask that stank and was damp in some spots. I had all kinds of thing going through my mind. Like what should I do? Is this a fresh brand new mask or did she pull it out of a drawer something that maybe someone like this guy was wearing and shoved it into a drawer? Idk, but I don't trust them. Eventually, the mother took over to finish the job which I was relieved, but it was too late. That Monday I had a scratchy throat, and by Tuesday afternoon I was toast. I missed three days of work, because i contracted COVID, because of this knuckle head, and I have to get clearance to go back to work, due to i work in a health care environment. This company didn't consider some of their clientele may have upper respiratory issues such as myself, and now my wife contracted it from me. Can't believe I gave them a tip for getting me sick. Great place, price, and people! I usually get a gel pedicure and dip manicure from here. Reasonable prices, and provide a quality service each time. I had a bad experience with another nail salon, and I found 79 Nails and Hair to help me fix my issue, and now I regularly go to just them. I appreciate their effort because usually when you get dip nails, the "manicure" aspect of it is nonexistent. But not this place! They cut my cuticles and really make my nail beds look super nice before the dip even goes on. Love my regular nail spot and love supporting a small family business. The dad is a great manicurist, and so are the two sisters! The mom is usually the one that does hair, and they all make a great team. read more

$10 mens haircut is terrible. I have a simple haircut and I even had a picture as a reference for the lady in "chair 3" which is obviously not the owner who I believe works in chair 1. I asked for a high fade and a trim up top.... What I got is a non blended mid fade on one side and a mediocre low fade on the other side.... The top of my head looks like a damn mushroom cloud cut... I have no idea how an Asian hair stylist cutting asian hair with a typical Asian hairstyle can butcher me up this bad.. Yes it's a $10 mens cut but damn man for real?!?! That's what I get for doing a convenience cut next door to my chiro appointment... I've had $10 haircuts closer to home and I've never had it this bad. Came here after finding them on Google and wasn't disappointed. I requested an appointment online and the owner replied within minutes. Walked in with my mom and everyone greeted us with a smile. They so us in right away and there was no waiting. All 4 girls in the salon were all very kind and talkative. Usually in salons they try and push unnecessary stuff to do on you. None of the girls here were pushy and only did what me and my mom wanted. Place is super clean and organized. I would recommend 100. For both pedicure &manicure $30. This nail salon is now under NEW Ownership and I'm so glad to have tried it out and gave it a chance. Such a good hidden gem!!!
