Let me start this by saying that I'm not really the type of guy that gets his nails done. However, my wife convinced me to go to 7am Nails because they have services that specifically cater to men!!! Now, how shocked was I to be able to get the "sports pedicure" and the "men's manicure"... I even got to talk Cubs baseball with the girls (if you could believe it). I guess the thing that impressed me most was that I didn't feel out of place there. Ladies, if you are looking to have your guy spend a day with you at the nail salon and NOT feel awkward, then this is the place for you. Fellas, just try it once...that's all I'm going to say. There is nothing that tells the ladies you are on top of your game like manicured nails. I will be going back here more often for sure!!!! read more

First thing first.... Yes this nail salon is more expensive that others. Let's get that out of the way. Their prices are clearly listed when you make an appointment so there's no deception or anything like that. I see it mentioned a lot in other reviews, so here's why I think it's worth it. This salon is quite clean and has good customer service, where you can have a conversation about what you want etc. My last regular manicure (NOT no chip) from here lasted 3 weeks...which is pretty amazing. My current one again a regular one is going strong at a week and a half. The scrubs smell good and the tools are clean- like for real clean and coming out of sealed containers, not maybe sat in the autoclave for a second or came out of someone's apron. It's also clean and well decorated, not dingy or grimy. The massage chairs at other places are nice but we all know the whirlpool baths are full of dead skin. We pretend they aren't, but they are lol. They remove and clean the basin each time here. I won't lie, at $59 for a pedicure this is a treat for me. They do have memberships but I haven't committed yet. We'll see! I have have a couple suggestions which would be that I would love to see more colors available to select from, I like the options but more would be nice. A shoulder massage would be very nice as well since the chairs are not massage chairs. They have fridges full of every flavor sparkling water which is great, I do think adding some fancy teas or coffees would really level up the beverage station. This nail salon is a rip off. $60 for a basic pedicure is insane. And if you miss your appointment they charge you the entire amount. Beware before booking that they charge your cc right away. When I did go in for the appointment (because I couldn't get my money back) the aesthetic was good, but the overall experience was not worth it. I wasn't going to write a review because I understand that things happen and it's not a big deal 99% of the time. However, I made an appointment at 7 am nails for a regular pedicure and gel manicure with nail art on all 10 nails last week. They have an online booking feature, which I appreciate and used to book. They require full pre-payment for services at the time of appointment booking, which is fine. However, there is fine print stating they require a 20% tip at the time of service...it is also stated that if you feel the 20% tip is not warranted, they must have a reason why and if they disagree with you, you still have to give 20%. I thought that was a bit weird but still went ahead with my appointment anyway since they have a lot of great reviews. Showed up 5 mins before my scheduled time, no one was at the front desk to check me in. I waited at the desk for about 5 mins and no one came to help me. Finally I went more in view of the techs behind the wall and someone eventually came to check me in about 5 mins later. I was told to pick a color (their selection is a bit limited), which I did for my toes, but informed them I booked nail art and just wanted a deep french with an extra thin white line on my fingers. She said no problem and sent me back to the pedicure chair. The pedicure was fine, nothing special. The top coat is a little wonky, doesn't cover the full nail on some nails but oh well. I was moved to the manicure station and pulled up the photo of the nails I was looking for and was quickly told they were unable to do that due to time constraints. I was surprised because my appointment was booked out for 2.25 hours and had already pre-paid for the nail art (deep french tips with one extra small line underneath) but asked what she did have time for. She said she could only do the french tips without the extra small line, not really sure how much extra time a small thin line is but okay. At that point I was pretty fed up and agreed to deep french tips even though that's not what I was looking for. I got the french tips, which looked pretty terrible. They were very uneven, shallow, and messy looking. Half of them were deep, the other half were shallow and above my natural nail line. I paid the 20% tip to get out of there as my nail tech told me she was in a hurry and I felt so unwelcome. At the end of the day, I paid $145 (with tip) for a marginal pedicure and messy manicure I ended up removing the next morning. I definitely won't be returning, but if you just want a cute nail spot for a basic mani/pedi it's probably fine. I will say, all of the techs were quite nice and professional, and it is a cute place. read more
