Ran into a bit of an issue where the elevator at the new place wasn't as large, but it didn't stop them from getting everything done in a timely manner. We moved about 45 minutes away from Bethesda and it couldn't have been an easier move thanks to them. They were on time, friendly, efficient, fast, hardworking and simply super good at their work. Stop getting quotes and hire these guys! I've moved several times over the last fifteen years - including twice cross-country. Paul (Pavel) and Boris are so amazing that I've used them twice! They went above and beyond on my apartment move (from the Hill to Columbia Heights). I had only packed two boxes (of a 774 sqft condo) before moving day but they came in and were able to pack and load everything like ninjas. Delivery was even easier! When I went to unpack I was pleasantly surprised. I hadn't realized it but they also labeled all of the boxes with specific listings of the contents and put each box or item in the appropriate room. Even more importantly, every single item was in the same condition as when it was packed. Not one single dent or broken glass. So impressive! My second move involved moving storage facilities - something I thought would be relatively easy. Again, I underestimated how much crap I had. And again, they were professional and handled my items with care. They make what is always one of the most stressful events so much easier to get through. We were totally happy with their service. They were on time and professional. With the help of the tools they have, they are faster than we thought and our apartment was in the truck in almost an hour. Surely, it depends on if you get stairs or not or how much stuffs you got and how prepared you are. We had no stairs but lots of stuffs for a two bedroom apartment. I should emphasize that the more prepared you are, the less that clock is ticking for you to pay! DO NOT USE - this company didn't show up for my move on the scheduled date. It took an hour to get someone on the phone. It turns out that despite having written confirmation / contractual agreement for my moving day, 7th State claimed that a clerical error showed my move for the following day. They did not have a team available so I had to find someone else. They offered a reduced rate to move me any other day that week--but it was the end of the month and I needed to leave my place so that wasn't an option. read more

I had the best experience working with 7th state moving! I showed them pictures of my one bedroom apt and they suggested 2 men for three hours (minimum) including the driving time. I expected them to go over the time since thats what always happens but exactly three hours! They talked to me before using any of their supplies if it was going to be added to the bill. Very transparent and i really appreciated the open communication. They were also very easy to get in touch with - replied to texts within 5 minutes - and showed up 30 min early!! Paul and his crew came before our scheduled start time (almost unheard of in all of my moving experiences) and started the move efficiently. It is a one-bedroom high-rise and their job is to unload items from my truck and transport them to my apartment.
