After buying and returning a defective surfboard from amazon, I decided it would be best to buy my…read morefirst board from a local shop where I could make sure I was buying the right board for me. When I walked in I let the staff know I had never surfed before but was wanting to learn. The man walked around the store with me to show me all my options and gave some recommendations before letting me look on my own. Once I picked a board out they put the fins on for me right there and had me pick out a leash (separate purchase) and attached it for me in the store. With my purchase they also provided a little bag with wax, stickers, and a key for the fins in case I needed any of it. I ended up spending much more than the board I returned to amazon. However, for everything I bought, I believe it was reasonably priced. I am grateful this happened, as I now feel secure knowing I will be learning on a board that is best for me. Not to mention the fact that this board is so much prettier too! Throughout my whole experience at Surfers Supplies, everyone who helped me was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The staff worked as a team and made sure every customer left with what they needed, without acting like "salesman". I would definitely recommend Surfers Supplies for any of your surfing necessities. I will be back to this shop if and when I ever need something new!

I'm not the image of a skateboarder (I'm middle aged, overweight and under flexible) but when I popped upstairs to look at some board parts, I was greeted with respect, good questions, and good nature. Ended up buying some Sanuks and browsing for a while (great selection of boards of all flavors, surf wear, and beach clothing). The whole staff was responsive and great. When it's time to finish outfitting the commemorative deck I received as an award, I'll be back.

Brian is great! He's made a couple custom boards for me and I always just throw a vague idea out…read morethere and he makes them way better than I could ever imagine. He tries to make things as sustainable as you can given the materials he works with. He loves to incorporate flax and basalt into his work if you're interested, which I most definitely was! What drew me in was the beautiful displays and soft colors. The clothing and accessories were all unique and the store is arranged by color. The staff was friendly and all gorgeous. They were a good representation of the store by their styling. It appears they shop were they work. Prices were in line with a trendy mall store. I was in both locations, which are almost across the street from each other. One is junior sized (although it wasn't advertised as such). As a larger woman I wish they would have carried size xl, but managed to fit in some large sizes. The other store is ladies wear but doesn't carry as much and although it had that same soft color aesthetic the style was more mature resort wear. They have several locations, including one focusing solely on accessories and just recently opened an online store. I loved the style of the junior store. Just wished they carried larger sizes. SIDENOTE: Both stores I visited were blocks from the beach in a very walkable area. Metered street parking was hard to find.
