Diane was a gem from the moment I called the resort to check for vacancy and during our check-in process. My partner and I read the history of the Ocean Spray prior to arriving and wow... we were so happy to support a family business and even more so after experiencing Diane's kind hospitality. We stayed in cottage #3 with my doggo (a big plus!) and were pleasantly surprised to be in such cozy, homey, and adorable accommodations. The property offers breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Hood Canal and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains in the distance. The landscaping is beautifully maintained and really enhances the natural beauty of the property. For the price point, this place offers excellent value--you really can't beat the combination of affordability and those stunning water and mountain views. Vintage cars and trucks add to the venues character. The barn features two large sliding barn doors upstairs and down and feature antler handles. The concrete floors include stamped planks at the enterance of the barn and a compass rose greets guests just inside the door. Glass chandeliers and string lights line the ceiling beams and large log rounds and iron work form the railings leading to two grand staircases ending at the stage. A large prep kitchen complete with refrigeration and oven lead to an outdoor space for catering vendors. A large service bar, coat closet and plenty of storage are hidden throughout the venue. Tables and linens are included in the contract. Full hook-up camping and several chain hotels are within 30 miles in either direction of the venue. Only real irritation was no one was really following proper bowling etiquette of not standing or getting up to the approach while someone is bowling in the lanes next to you, we used to always wait, eye check the others waiting to see who goes ahead while the other steps back until it is their turn, but then that is what you learn playing league I guess. But I encourage everyone to consider bowling as another option of entertainment, it's as social as you want to make it or something for your own activity...
