Really friendly people work here. 3 stars due to the old school auditorium seating; arms don't move, chairs set on a slant. Also the screen is big but not the size of a modern theatre. I'm disabled and was constantly shifting in the seat down in front, because I can't rest on slanted flooring, and towards the end of a 2 hour movie I was in pain. Prices are cheap. A lovely small-town theatre. Staff was very friendly and you buy your tickets and snacks at the counter. We went to see the latest Thor movie. It was a matinee and not crowded. Many of the seats need replacement, but we found a couple that were okay. Nice sound and decent picture. read more

Some of the absolute worst customer service ever. Apparently there are new owners..? Incredibly rude unhelpful staff. They didn't even let us know which room the movie was in and then acted like we were Aholes when we asked. Every time we ordered something they acted like we were bothering them. I was shocked by how unwelcome we felt. The price? Less than a theater in the city. Does it compensate for the insanely rude couple working the counter or the small viewing room where people are sitting RIGHT in front of you no matter where you sit or havingthe screen so close to your face no matterwhere you sit??? Definitely not. Also, if you give a crap about the staff wearing masks etc it's probably another good reason to skip this place... unfortunately it's 1 of maybe only 5 sources of entertainment in the area. read more

Cute and small town cinema, refurbished about 10 years ago and under new management. The three screens are smaller than a big town cineplex. The staff is friendly and very willing to help. You get to salt and add butter to your popcorn. The screen is about 2/3 the size of the big movie house. Price is comparable to the less expensive movie places. When we sat down you immediately reclined backwards they would not allow you to sit up straight - we eventually moved the last row where the seats were against the wall. This is a small town movie theater so you can't go here and compare it to a regal Cinema or an AMC theater in a big town. I watched two movies here two days in a row. We weren't really sure how busy/not busy this place would be for the first movie as it was the weekend after the release of this a movie, and it's is currently selling out lots of places. We went there in advance to get tickets and learned they do not have actual tickets to give out. Basically, they let you walk through or give you a receipt as an I.o.u. we returned later and we didn't have any issues with the ticket because the same person was working. The options for concessions was fairly reasonable, some items were cheaper than other movie theaters... You can get popcorn, nachos, candy, I think I saw hotdogs on the menu, Pepsi products, and they have a seasoning bar for your popcorn if you want do something different outside of the standard salt &butter. That being said, t's usually two people running everything (from what I can tell) so patience is required because you may experience wait time. The room we went for movie number #1 wasn't as large as I expected. The seats are interesting as they dip back, I'm not sure if they are supposed to be "recliners" or there is a flaw with the chairs. Some dipped back so far that I was looking at the top of the movie screen and the ceiling. We eventually moved to the seats that were up against the wall and that made it a more comfortable experience. Outside of that the temperature was pretty good but they did forget to turn off the lights for about 20min of the movie. Movie #2 was in a different room which seemed to have the same chairs but didn't lean back as the others did. The lights were shut off appropriately but the temperature was extremely cold. So cold that having my sweater and zipped up jacket didn't help. After the movie was over, I stepped outside and it felt much warmer outside than inside. I wonder if they turned on the AC? Overall, it's cool to have in the town. You more than likely will have better options to watch a movie that's sold out in other areas. IJust don't go in with the expectation that this will be another AMC or Regal cinema. read more

My Husband and I came to Ocean Shores for a quiet and relaxing anniversary. For those of you who have not been to Ocean Shores, there isn't a whole lot to do especially when it is pouring buckets of rain. We decided on going to the movies because the Superman vs. Batman was playing while we were here. The parking lot is fairly small but it wasn't packed when we went at 12:45 pm. When we went in, there were two nice ladies running the place. One at the register and one taking care of the popcorn, candy and drinks. The movie theater was cute, cozy and clean. The bathrooms were very clean as well. The theater itself was small but the screen fit the room we were in and the picture quality was clear. The seats weren't the most comfortable but it's not that big of a deal for me, nothing was poking me so that's a plus. Overall, I really like the theater it was quaint and not overly crowded and I didn't have to rub elbows with anyone considering it was opening day for the movie. I recommend coming here if your in the area and looking for something to do. I'll be back... read more

We came in today with pre purchased tickets to the Super Mario show, not even thinking to show up early on spring break, we showed up just 10 minutes before show time and it was PACKED! (I'm from ocean shores, I should've known!) Good for the theatre, but it left our family movie night to 4 separate seats. We went back to the lobby and Pat, the manager quickly assured us that we could see the next showing at 6:15! So we switched our plans to eat first and movie second! It all worked out perfectly, we had an awesome movie night and again, were so thrilled with how accommodating Pat was. I love this place. We go there all the time. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. It is also a comfortable theater and the seats are well maintained. They usually have at least one offering for children and at convenient times. The only complaint I have about this place is that, like all the other theaters now days, they make you sit through a bunch of commercials. I understand times are tight and people are trying to make a living so this wont effect my rating, besides, this site is full of people with an ax to grind. I'm not one of them. read more

We went for a matinee at 12:45 on a Wednesday and were expecting the tickets to be reduced in price. What we got were $9.25 tickets which wouldn't be bad if there were some super comfortable seats, but that wasn't the case. The seat backs reclined in the most awkward way. There was no way to control the recline and if you leaned back at all the seat back went back. There was no option for sitting up straight. The theater itself (#3) was the smallest I'd ever been in. The movie played fine and the sound quality was ok. I just don't think the price was reasonable for the facility quality. read more

My family and I were visiting Ocean Shores for the weekend, so we stopped in to watch Spy. I was very impressed with the theater. Very clean. The couple working there were extremely nice and friendly. We were very early and my husband had a nice chat with them about the theater industry. The theaters are small and the seats aren't the greatest, but neither are they uncomfortable. Prices were reasonable for tickets and snack items. Came here for a movie the other night and we wish we would have read the reviews. It's an expensive movie theater given the smaller screens and lack of good seating. They obviously feel that they can charge Seattle pricing for a small older theater. The big issue were the seats. Several of our party had to keep moving around to find seats that weren't broken. I would save my theater going experiences for another place while in Ocean Shores and give this place a miss. If it was cheaper maybe you wouldn't mind that the theater experience isn't as good but for the price and given what you are getting, it just doesn't add up. read more

Great prices, clean venue, friendly staff. Showing current flicks, which you don't usually see at these smaller places. The seats are kind of small though, and really lean back. The theaters are also way small, so even when there aren't many people at your showing you'll be close to those around. Before the movie they mixed film facts with shots from local photographers, which I thought was neat. read more

The movie screens are dirty and scratched, the bulbs in the projectors are in desperate need of replacement (every movie I've seen here has been overly dark and hard to see) and most home theater systems have much better sound. Drive into Aberdeen to the South Shore Mall if you really want to see a movie instead, it's worth it. read more

The movie screen and area was just fine but the movie volume was a bit too loud. No lines so that is always a plus in my book. Good place! read more
