Packed bar/restaurant. Even more on a St Patties day celebration. The staff did everything in their power to make everyone happy. Lots of smiles and loud celebrations happening. Still family friendly for the food. We had egg rolls for the holiday. A really big burger and fry plate. Ragin Cagin place with even a bigger sandwich and fries. I stopped in to just grab some wings and have a beer while I waited for my to go order. The service seems to have improved from previous visits. Both bartenders I interacted with were efficient, helpful and very polite. The wings were very good. I appreciated the fact that I could get two flavors with one order. They even took the time to make sure the flavors were kept separate from each other which I saw as extra care for customer service. I'll definitely get wings again. It is your typical small town corner bar so the ambiance matches that. read more

We walked in after the downpours shortly after 600 pm on Friday evening. It's seat yourself. Typical bar with some restaurant seating. The bar, a mix of high tops, low tables, and a few booths. The menu is loaded with sandwiches, burgers, and apps. Our server was a sweetheart. I think her name was Rita, but I might be mistaken. Never saw her without a smile on her face. Along with the other basic sides they offer crinkle cut fries, curly fries, or waffle fries. Sounds simple...but I appreciate the choice. Service was a little slow tonight, but the place was busy and there were only two servers working as far as I could tell. Besides a quick greeting when we walked in, we got menus right away, and our drinks orders were taken and delivered fast. Our server checked in with us several times so we knew we hadn't been forgotten about. I ordered the rajun cajun sandwich ($10.50?). A 6 oz. grilled tenderloin with cajun seasoning, pepperjack cheese, and bacon. A sourdough bun I think... It normally comes with lettuce and tomato, but I passed on the veggie toppings tonight. And crinkle cut fries of course... It was my first time at 804 Main and I was pleasantly surprised. My food was very good. The burgers I saw looked fantastic; they have one called the 804 Alarm with a Carolina Reaper sauce... Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. Lots of TVs if you don't want to miss a game. And like I said...the attentiveness of our server made any delay in our food arriving (on an obviously busy Friday night) easily forgivable. This is a great bar for a town the size of Norwalk! Be warned though there are times when it is packed. They serve typical bar food, but the big difference is IT'S GOOD! A large group of us came here on a Monday night. Street parking is your best option and there's not a ton of it. The inside was larger than I anticipated and had everything you need for a bar. There's TVs playing sports, a large bar, a couple booths, other tables, and a pool table in the back. We didn't all arrive at the same time so orders were taken at different times, which was expected. I don't think our waiter smiled once the entire time. He would approach us but just didn't seem to care much. A lot of the group ordered a burger of some kind and they seemed to enjoy them. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and waffle fries. The Philly was good. I really enjoyed eating it. The waffle fries were another story. They were either really really crispy or so hard I could barely bite through them. I ate maybe five and stopped. The regular fries (crinkle cut) that others got looked better. The onion rings at a table behind us looked even better. I went to 804 Main for lunch on a Sunday with my date. We were waited on immediately with the server and brought menus. We ordered some Oreo cheesecake egg rolls which were amazing! It's all dessert items in it so don't worry. I ordered the 804 alarm burger and my date ordered the turkey bacon sandwich. Both of us also ordered the sidewinder fries which were crispy and thick. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. There were a lot of peppers on the 804 but I just removed them. Updated 9 28 18 Just had a nice burger but cold fries and slow service. I go here about once a month and really the service is the focus of my not giving it five stars. Updated 6 24 18 . Just had dinner there last night. I was very pleased with the food taste and preparation. They were a bit busy but the server was hustling to get everyone taken care of. They earned a five star after this visit. I would say this is a nice hidden gem in the middle of Norwalk. If you are driving through town stop in and give them a try. 804 is a great little hometown dive bar however stay for the burgers, the wings and the sidewinder fries! Rita is one of the servers and she makes you feel like you are a family member in her house! There is a couple pool tables, darts, karaoke on certain nights, bar specials and a sand volleyball court near the patio outside! read more

Been a few times now. Food has been phenomenal every visit. Chicken strips, tenderloin, 5 alarm burger all great. Best selection of beers in Norwalk as well. Just had dinner there for the first time. Very comfortable & clean grill & bar. Service was fast and very pleasant waitress (Rachel). Menu offerings are quite varied, so I had trouble deciding, but was told the tenderloins were breaded in house & excellent. I was not disappointed. My wife had a regular hamburger without the frills & she's ready to go back. I also tried the egg rolls & they were awesome. Tonight they were Mongolian Beef, which I've never had in an egg roll. Excellent. They change egg roll types every 2-3 days. Bar service was good & plenty of TVs to watch. A nice, clean, convenient, comfortable neighborhood bar & grill. We'll go back soon. read more

This is a great place for food and drink. A surprise in a small town. They make a different kind of egg roll appetizer each night. Tonight was Mongolian beef. Very good. They also have burgers with bacon mixed in the meat called squealers. Really flavorful. I had the pattymelt squealer. Very good. They serve regular burgers for the traditionalists. Good variety of beers and mixed drinks. Overall a great place to go if you are nearby. read more

This was my first visit to 804 Main in Norwalk. My server did not introduce herself to me but she was great. I drink a lot of water and she kept me full and apologized at one point for the delay. I met a group of folks at the adjacent table and they invited me to join them. All very nice as well. An IPA from Confluence brewery was on tap and that proved a good choice. The burgers and tenderloin are excellent. Hot sausage sandwich was generally regular and disappointing. Try one of the squealer burgers which is a combo of burger and bacon. The sidewinder fries are pretty good too. Norwalk, south of the metro, north of expectations. read more

Just moved to town and trying out the local places to eat or just hang out. Everyone was very friendly from the waitress to the other customers. The food was great! We came here with a group of 9 people and had a pleasant experience. The service was great and the food was good. The food is typical bar food but not being from the area, we were very happy with this place. I would recommend it to others to check out. I got the Reuben sandwich. It wasn't the best Reuben that I've ever had but it was good. My husband got the spicy alarm burger and said it was ok. He said that the sauce that is on the burger is spicy but it has an overwhelming vinegar flavor that over took the burger. All in all a good place to eat. read more

My wife and I stopped in tonight for the first time and were greeted right away so friendly. We sat down and we were giving recommendations. I have been to this place twice and been disrespected by either the owner or the bartender for no…read morereason at all both times. The owner called me "big" and the bartender last night, Luke, was simply the worst. Not welcoming, not friendly, would just play darts with his friends the entire time and play shitty music. Just an overall like, HOSTILE vibe for no reason we weren't loud and drunk or obnoxious at all. Just chillin. I gave it a second chance but Luke was such a DICK and wanted to close at midnight while money spending customers so badly that when we walked in he put his hands up and said he was closed. Then a half hour later we wanted to play darts and rudely just told my friend "are you serious? No" like we weren't even the only ones still IN the bar but we weren't one of HIS friends so he told us he wanted to close early. I looked up the Google information. They close at two. Guess the owner doesn't want to make any money on slow nights! Never again. Do NOT GO HERE IT SUCKS.
