Went here for late breakfast. Had been being advised to check it out for months now but it's not convenient to get to from where I live. Anyway. Finally went here and I was not let down. There were only 3 gals working the entire time taking care of cooking and bartending and waiting on everyone in the estaishment. Definitely efficient and friendly staff. We ordered drinks and breakfast. Both were quickly served. My breakfast burger was delicious with layers ofhashbriwns and eggs and bacon and a burger. The diced potatoes were also great. My partner had the meat lovers omlette and was very happy with the entire meal. My only complaint is the price of the state fair lemonade (vodka lemonade) was 8.50$ which a typical vodka lemonade or cranberry is 6$. However it was delicious and the prices in this area are just typically higher than other areas so I do understand. I'd definitely go back again for food & drinks! read more

I ordered a Burger (of course - see picture) and was thoroughly impressed with it! Usually when you ask for a medium rare burger, it is brought out medium well to well done. Not only was the burger excellent (a little beyond medium rare, but at least some heavy pink in the middle), but the bun and the lattice fry sides were all delicious! Unfortunately, I gave up alcohol for Lent...so didn't have a beer with the burger - but you can bet that I'll be back for both after Easter! $4 hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps! Or many other different liquors. With a windchill of -30, how could you go wrong? Krissy was working the bar and she recommended the chipotle dip. This was excellent. She was busy but made sure she checked in. I thought she gave great service, despite wearing a Chiefs sweatshirt. The meat on the sandwich was fine, but I didn't think the cheese melted very well...and the bun didn't hold up well to the au jus. I'll give a different sandwich a go next time, but everything else was excellent. read more

Terrible service. When we came to the restaurant we asked when the boneless wing special began and the sauces available. Waitress said at 11:00 so at 11:00 we ordered two orders of boneless wings but were bought bone in wings, with one order overcooked and tough to eat and the second order soggy from the cooking oil. IWe then assumed that the bone in wings were actually the wings on special. The waitress then charged us full price at which point we told her that we thought the wings were on special and that she got the order incorrect and got the wrong wings. Upon on our request, she asked the manager if they would give us the special price and came back to the table and dropped off the bill and said nothing. Upon looking at the bill, they did not give us the special price. Waited for the waitress to come back at which time I said the bill was not adjusted and she said manager refused, Will never go back. read more

Mickeys is my "Go-to" whenever a coworker wants to get a drink after work! The waitstaff are amazing and recognize me right away! They know I love the buffalo wontons and whatever drink is on special (there is always something). I love their patio but if it's too hot--the inside is just as inviting. It's not a deal to be alone or with a party of 10. They are always so happy and inviting! This place is like my deck at home---all are invited and everyone has a great time! read more

Great pub atmosphere. Attentive staff. Good food. Note that I'm rating against other bar/pubs. It's not gourmet, but it is affordable and food was well above average. My wife had the French dip. The meat was not over done. The bun was fresh. Au jus was tasty. Crinkle fries were crinkle fries. I had the Mrs Mickey Wrap. Meat was tender. Good ratio of meat to cheese to vegetables. We live really close and never think of this place, probably because a it wasn't great when we were here maybe 5-7 years ago. Now we will be back regularly. It was a very good experience. read more

Mickey's is amazing. I decided to have my birthday party here. I called a week before to see if they would allow me to bring a cake in and reserve seats. They reserved their "lounge area for me." The day of my party, they even called to make sure we were still coming in. Erica, our waitress was amazing. She made sure all my guests had drinks at all times. Sauce is reduced with Guinness and is more like a Demi glaze/gravy Burger was great; nothing to write home about but I wanted a plain cheeseburger with the usual LOTP and that's what I got. Crisp and hot crinkle fries. Their ranch dressing is awesome. Shrimp tacos were great, in the past I have not been impressed with their tacos but they were very tasty this time. Love Mickeys! It is our go to hangout spot. Food is delicious (salads and tacos for sure) staff is very welcoming and it feels like family. I've attended many trivia and karaoke nights and everyone has a great time and mingles / cheers each other on. Couldn't recommend more! I have been visiting Mickeys for the last 8 years, since I originally moved to Waukee. The staff is awesome, the atmosphere is very inviting, and there are tons of ways to stay entertained. I highly recommend stopping in, whether You are having drinks with friends, dinner with family, or meeting for business reasons. Its a Waukee staple! If you're a Waukee resident, it should be added to your list of frequent stops. This is a great neighborhood bar, and I like the relaxed atmosphere. The food is really good and there are a variety of options so you aren't just stuck with "bar food". Not a great choice if you have dietary restrictions (ie gluten free, vegan). My one not good experience was when my food came out and was only partially cooked. I showed the waitress and she quickly took care of it and got new food cooked and brought out. So many places try to just reheat or finish cooking food, which doesn't normally work I was pleasantly surprised that they brought new, fully cooked food. read more

Today was a bit awkward, a larger female bar tender was more concerned with chatting up people vs. tending to her customers. Then, apparently she was leaving for the day and asked if I could close out my tab under her, as well as the guy across from me. Been coming here for 4 years, the people are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is comfortable and fun (especially during the summer) and they know how to pour Guinness correctly!
