I ended up ordering 3 before we left. For food each ordered 2 tacos each a la carte. I ordered one grilled shrimp taco and one blackened chicken taco. My friend ordered one fish taco and shrimp taco. We ordered 1/2 order of the jumbo pretzel appetizer which came with one jumbo pretzel, queso, and nacho chips. The queso had a good amount of heat. The pretzel was soft and not too much salt. Breakfast at the Beaver Tap. Walked in for a late breakfast on Sunday. Met a girlfriend to enjoy some breakfast. Tables were almost full. Bar was busy too. We snagged a spot near the back. The waiter was quick to take our drink requests. He came back soon and I asked his recommendations. He sold me on a omelet and my girlfriend got french toast My girlfriend sold me on the Taps potatoes. I haven't had potatoes like that. Almost cut like potatoes chip but then fluffy and fried. Not over crunchy and not to heavy. The make to order omelet was good to. For some reason they left the bacon out but I just tossed it on top with the avacado I was craving. The TVs were on but not to loud yet. There was some football playing later in the afternoon but it wasn't game time yet Music played as we sat and chatted. The food was good. We were looking for a place to have lunch and saw this from the street. What a great find! They have awesome daily specials, but we ordered off the regular menu. He got the club and fries and I got two tacos. Our food was excellent and service excelled also. We had a server that had only worked there for a very short time - ya gotta love when you get honest answers about not having knowledge of most of the food, but he could say what he'd served the most of and gotten rave reviews. He was spot on! The parking is small closer to the door, but we found some street parking. I truly cannot say enough about the food and service, and also the pricing. Went there on a wednesday afternoon for lunch with my parents. I had the blackened shrimp with onion tangles, it was very tasty. S had the Cajun pasta. I tried the pasta and it was good. my mom got the deli ham sandwich. it was all very good. Sage was our server and he did a great job. They have daily specials and my wrap with a side was $9. So they got me on a day where I was reaaally craving nachos and safe to say that craving was satisfied. My nachos were so good and fresh which I appreciated. Definitely recommend coming in on a weeknight where you can check out their weeknight deals and have a little more freedom on the seating. The location is a quaint dive bar, with an awkward entrance but a nice outdoor patio. The location also thrives with their regulars, you can tell right away it's a local favorite in the neighborhood. I've been here a couple of times back when they had trivia, so this was my first time back in quite awhile. (I still had a hard time finding the entrance for some reason. Note it is the door next to the patio and it's a door without a window just a sign that says you have to be over 21.) They also have a couple games here like pool and darts. But it is a small location so I can say it can be packed pretty quickly during the weekend. Overall I'd say if you're moving close to the area, this is a local spot you should give at least a shot for a drink and some grub. Especially if you're looking for a classic American dive bar. Gotta say I kinda love the BEAVER TAP! We went at 4pm on a Tuesday and discovered they do "2 dollar Tuesdays," so any drinks that are normally 6 bucks and under you can get for only 2 bucks! They also have 2 dollar tacos on Tuesday! We stuck to drinks and the FREE Popcorn! We ended up getting 2 local Confluence brews on tap (me) and Ashley got a spicy bloody Mary (which I tasted and was delicious) They had 3 flat screen tv's on with some, "Bar Transformation," show which was hilarious! I joked with the Bartender, "you must just play this show to make your bar look better!" It was pretty great and we were hooked! I dug that the bar seemed to be full of regulars, even at the early happy hours. It was clean and comfortable! The bartender was super attentive and talkative! He told us they even have live music on Friday nights as well! So thats cool! They also have a pool table! All and All fun little sports bar, with nice regulars and cheap drinks! 3 drinks, 4 baskets of popcorn..... tab total 6 bucks! Not to shabby! USUALLY.......I have a blast every time I go into Beaver Tap. Last night though was nothing but frustrating and completely annoying. Busy Saturday night. Plenty of people waiting at the bar to get drinks and 2 bartenders behind the bar who couldn't give a shit about anyone but their friends. After waiting 10minutes (literally 10 minutes. Got to the point where I was so annoyed by being blatantly ignored by the bartender that I actually started to watch my phone to see how long it took him to help me) I finally got his attention and ordered my drinks. He started making them THEN got distracted by his friends and started talking to them leaving my half made drinks just sitting there. Then he proceeded to start picking up dirty glasses that were literally everywhere and started doing dishes. AGAIN leaving my drinks just sitting there and me growing more furious by the second. I had to actually ask him if he could grab my drinks for me. He had totally forgotten he had even started helping me. It is a little suspicious when both bartenders disappear to the back somewhere and come back more fucked up than they were before. Especially when you have a bar full of people waiting to get drinks. One guys pupils were so dilated he looked like a cartoon character. Neither of them could focus on anything they were doing. Multiple people in my group were extremely frustrated with trying to order drinks. It kinda ruined the night. We come in all the time and we'll most likely be back but it was by far the worst experience at Beaver Tap ever. read more

The jewels of America lie in dive bars. The beaver tap definitely fits the bill. Great place to watch a game or listen to music. The patio is awesome. Shaded enough to enjoy yourself outside but stay out of the sweltering sun. People are friendly (as are the bartenders). This place is disgusting and the bartenders are morally very low people. This "establishment" should be ashamed of themselves. A group of friends and I went there last weekend and had 3 items stolen from us. A brand new Patagonia jacket, a wallet, and a purse. When we noticed our friends wallet was stolen off our table (we were all playing darts and had our things on a table next to the dart board) we began searching for it in the bar thinking she had dropped it or misplaced it. Come to find out we found some lady at the bar trying to pay for her drink with my friends card. She had my friends wallet in her hand. The female bartender witnessed this entire exchange and said nothing. We then went back to our table only to notice a jacket and an entire purse was also missing. Of course we thought it was the same lady and her friends that stole my other friends wallet. The cops were called but the other two items were never found. The bartenders did nothing. Come to find out the bartenders are friends with the woman. DO NOT step foot in this place unless you want to get stolen from. The cops told us there have been several incidents like ours at Beaver Tap in the last few months. read more

This is a solid neighborhood bar. $2 drinks on Tuesdays, with very few drink excluded. I had a Bloody Mary. Excellent deal, and the bartender was very conscientious of how spicy. Every time I have been to this bar I've always had a good time although when I went last night I could not believe how incredibly rude our bartender was, I believe her name was Stacy. She blatantly ignored me every time I patiently waited for a drink. I get that it gets busy but after she looked right at me and walked away I started to get the feeling it wasn't a mistake, and that happened every single time I wanted a drink. Not to mention when she did serve me she acted like it was going to kill her to get what I ordered. I was nice and tipped so I see no reason for her to be so awful. I will probably go back but I'll walk right back out if she is bartending. And just a tip, if you are in the restaurant industry/customer service, it probably wouldn't hurt to smile. read more
