They are the cheapest so I decide to go here (I've since learned my lesson). Get there about 1 and the door is locked but hours say they're open. A neighbor heard me knock on the door and told me the guy was probably out to lunch (with no sign saying when they'll be back) but before I could leave, they called him and he said he's walking back over. I'm told the cost to fix my phone is $50 more than was told previously but I'm already there so I tell him fine. He orders the part and tells me it'll be in by Monday 12/23 I'm told the part is in so I go to get it fixed. When I arrive, the worker tells me that "they sent the wrong color" (black instead of purple) and asked if I still wanted it. The color doesn't really matter to me at that point, I just want to be able to see my screen, so I tell him fine and pick my phone up about an hour later with tape holding the screen in place so "the glue has time to set" which never happens 12/29 Go back because glue is not holding my phone together. They reglue it 12/30 Go back because glue is not holding my phone together. They reglue it and mention my battery might be swollen and if it doesn't work this time, I'll need a new battery (another $90). I ask why that wasn't mentioned when the phone was first "repaired" and was told they must have missed it 1/4 I go into iProtech and tell them something is wrong and they need to fix it. They tell me it's my battery for sure and my phone won't close until I replace it. I head to another phone repair place and ask if they can give me a second opinion on my phone. My phone is opened up, I'm shown my battery is not swollen, screws are missing, what they ordered to repair my phone was not a Samsung product (Samsung doesn't have matte black products), things are sticking out that shouldn't be (such as the S-pen), AND told they aren't supposed to use glue (3M tape is to be used). I go back to iProtech and tell them I want my money back or they need to order the right parts for my phone and fix it correctly (he did admit they use 3rd party products). I'm told it will be ordered and ready Tuesday. 1/14 I'm called saying the parts are in and I ask what happened to last Tuesday. I'm told they called. I called him out as I don't have any missed calls or voicemails. I go in, confirm that they have the correct case/screen that's from Samsung, and leave my phone for an hour. Upon returning I'm told it WAS my battery but they replaced it for free. Suuuuuure. 1/20 Phone is finally looking and sticking together appropriately. The only reason they get 2 stars is they finally fixed it.

First off, Happy New Year!…read more 2022 gifted me with an HP Z Book (2 1/2 years old) that decided to quietly die last night. Poof! No "hey lady, I'm losing power" warning or anything like that. And you know how that "I really need to back up my hard drive" procrastination goes, right? Let's just say - I've been up since 2:48 a.m. stressing about this situation. #1 - commandeer hubby's computer (not a laptop - why is this screen SO BIG??) #2 - try to get as much work done without sitting in the corner and rocking (stress does weird things to a person...) #3 - Check YELP for the closest IT Repair Specialist who has awesome reviews (and isn't shady ;-) ) YELP "matched" me with Nick, the Computer & Network Expert here in Simi Valley - PERFECT!! Called and left a voicemail message for Nick. Promptly received a text letting me know he would call me in 20 minutes. Fast Forward: Spoke with Nick and he immediately put me at ease by letting me know he could save the info on my hard drive (feel that breeze? It's me finally exhaling after a l-o-n-g night). I drove to Nick's - what a nice guy! SUPER intelligent and very down to earth about his incredible talents. I don't want to divulge "trade secrets" (capes, magic wands, etc.), but he really did magically get my laptop working, provided me with a robust external hard drive that he built right in front of me (CRAZY!!), repaired the inside (SUPER techy stuff), cleaned out the inside (ahem, I have 3 cats and their hair gets in EVERYWHERE, evidently), and ran some double-triple checks on it. Voilà! My laptop is as good as new! Just, like, that... Sure, Nick made it look easy and entertained me with techy stories, but I KNOW what he did was pure Tech Talent ;-) So, to wrap this gem up, let me re-cap some highlights about Nick and his services: * Very fast! * Very professional! * Very nice * Incredibly talented and knowledgeable * Very fair prices Now, I know this laptop of mine will eventually go to computer heaven and when that happens, I'll be reaching out to Nick for a new laptop and his advice and guidance. THAT's how good Nick and his service is! Trust me - Nick will make you sleep better at night just knowing there's an IT superman that you can contact when you need him (no Bat-Signal needed).

I was faced with wiping the entire system and losing all my data and that was a daunting thought. I sent out a YELP HELP call and Nick at Computer & Network Expert answered the call. He made himself available in the evening on the same day I posted my request and did the repair for me. He saved my computer. He is extremely skilled, thoughtful and knows what he is doing. I recommend his service to anyone with a computer issue. I couldn't believe he fixed it. His price was reasonable and well worth his service.
