Had an issue with iMac not backing up. Response was prompt, effective and inexpensive.

I went to a place in Ventura called Mitec and charge me $100 for them to tell me that thing I told them what was wrong with my computer. A quoted me $1000 or more to get my Apple Computer fixed. This took a week for them just to call and tell me this information. However, I contacted 1-818-307-6868 / moble PC medics and they told me they could do it for a lot less. They were very reliable and very honest and detailed. I didn't feel like I was going to get ripped off like I did with the other company Mitec. Thank you so soooo much mobile PC medics!!!! reached out online and found mobile PC medics. My HP laptop lost its screen(touchscreen!) and was blacked out. I had no idea what was going on. The hard drive in my 2014 iMac gave up the ghost and would not boot. Rather than taking the computer to Apple, I took a chance on Mobile PC Medics because I wanted to upgrade the hard drive from a fusion drive to an SSD, something that Apple could not (would not) do for me. After doing a ton of research on updating my new 2019 iMac I decided that I needed a couple of SSD's installed in my computer. I googled Mac Service and Austin came up. I contacted him and right away we started talking options. He came to my house to pick up my computer after I purchased all of my products that I wanted. Austin made it happen! It took less than 24 hours for him to get my computer up and running and the computer runs smooth as butter. Thanks Austin for making that happen! The only reason I'm not giving this a 5 star review is because when the screen was put back on it must have moved a little. There is a little bit of space where I can see the aluminum. I have a MAC desk top that has all the needed features but works on a rotating hard disk (made in 2013), so it is very slow system. I determined that changing it to Solid State Drive would speed it up. That was the easy diagnosis part. Finding someone to do it was hard. Apple would not touch it with a 10 foot pole, as they deemed it was too old. Other techies were not so sure as it was a delicate job. Enter our man, Austin weaver!! He was courteous, picked up the system, charged a reasonable fee and delivered it to my office, in 2-3 days of turnaround time. I am extremely impressed with Austin of Mobile PC Medics. We have an older iMac that we wanted to give to our grandson but it was running way too slow and needed to be repaired. I actually called Austin bc of the reviews on Yelp. I knew that fan assembly had to be replaced in my Lenovo ThinkPad and agreeing to reasonably priced part not made in China, he ordered it, installed it and dropped it off which is great. When I tried to use my computer i couldn't connect to the internet for some reason and after charging my computer my adapter suddenly stopped working and my laptop died. I called Austin and he picked it up and wanted to charge me $65 which I had a problem we came to an agreeable amount. I probably should have asked if there would be an additional cost but I incorrectly guessed it was part of the initial fee. read more

Found Mobile PC Medics through Yelp - I had actually called 2 other places before I saw this place and all its 5-star Yelp reviews. The other places never called back (whatever, if you don't want my business, plenty of others do!). I called this place and immediately made an appointment, and Austin W. came over to pick up my laptop, which had an extremely loud buzzing noise from a busted fan. He took my laptop, and later that day he called me with a price estimate before he ordered the new fan. Took a few days but really worth it. Austin also popped this bent part in the lower left inside corner back in place, and cleaned the keyboard and monitor so they're sparkly clean. Everything works great and my fan is in working order and no more loud trash-compactor sounds coming from my PC. Would definitely recommend Austin & Mobile PC Medics to fix your computer! I've been working with Austin for a few years now off and on for my business's computer repair issues. He's always been very quick to respond and eager to help. His prices are lower then the any of the competition in Thousand Oaks. He also does iphone, ipad, ipod repair but not just for people in the thousand oaks area.. you can do mail in repair which I've done once for a cracked screen. I've been impressed with his expertise and his ability to not seem like he's talking down to me when explaining something. Pro's: fast service, quote through website, doesn't talk down to you, prices are pretty low Con's: they're a pretty small shop so I can imagine they'd get overloaded if you slam them with the big corporate jobs, etc... but they really seem to be built for small to medium sized stuff like virus removal, computer repairs and network stuff. read more
