Luis was his barber, and I showed him 5 pics of what I wanted for my son. He asked which length in the back and I specifically said to keep the length. He was getting a fade but we wanted to keep the mullet he has been trying to grow out for almost 2 years now. He cut the whole thing OFF! The fade looks great, so at least there's that..but the one thing my boy loved the most about his look is gone. I would have said something but what can you do, glue the hair back? One of the best parts about this place is that they have live music almost every night, which is awesome. We went on a night when a cover band was playing, and they were fantastic. The venue itself isn't very big, featuring a small stage and a really intimate environment. Depending on your vibe, you can reserve tables, hang out in the VIP seating area, or just stand around the floor and enjoy the live band performing. The energy was upbeat, and the place was already packed and buzzing even as early as 9 PM. My only real complaint was that the music was incredibly loud. It is turned up so high that you absolutely cannot have a conversation with anyone in there without screaming, which is something to keep in mind if you're looking to chat. Overall, it is a great entertainment place with a fantastic vibe. If you want a lively spot on the Strip with great music, this is definitely worth checking out!

After dinner we went to check in to get into a barbershop speakeasy, and the woman at the check-in was flat out rude -- no hello, no "how are you," nothing. Just cold and dismissive the whole time. As we walked away I said to my group that she was being a bitch, because she was. A security lead overheard me, turned around, and asked what I said. I repeated it. Instead of handling it professionally, he got hostile, escorted us out, and then said "fuck you" to my face -- multiple times, in front of other guests. Whatever you think about how I phrased it, that is not how trained security or hospitality staff are supposed to respond to a comment that wasn't even directed at them. A lead having a power trip and cursing out a guest is a serious lapse, and I'll be filing a formal complaint and escalating to corporate. Still had a great birthday overall, but hope that security guard gets some retraining, because that's not how any guest should be treated. This is honestly part of why locals avoid the Strip -- the lack of accountability and how rude everyone is once you're inside these places.

My barber Cesar moved to this store a few years back, and despite me moving to a house in the North West of the valley, I am still happy to make the drive here for his awesome and friendly service, and for the overall experience. I highly recommend him, so ask for him by name if you are booking or doing a walk in! The interior really is very cool, great to have a true barbershop feel to enjoy rather than the bland and clinical interiors of most modern chains or shops. It's fun looking at all the decor, including some of the more fun items on display, it all just adds to the overall experience. It's also reasonably priced, though be aware this is a cash only establishment, so no cards, but they do have an ATM. Overall, Good Times Barbershop lives up to its name.
