Having worked right across the street, Pint & Slice was a regular Friday lunch trip for me and my co-workers. The pizza and bread sticks are very good and always HOT. I never had a combination of toppings that I didn't like. They are very reasonably priced, especially if you compare them to other local downtown restaurants. I can't comment on the evening crowd, but during lunch it can get very busy. The line reaches out of the door at times. The downstairs can get pretty packed and you might think you'll have to stand up and eat your food. Not to fear! There is an upstairs area that runs the length of the restaurant and I've never had a problem finding a table. The staff has always been friendly to me and I make it a point to stop in whenever I am in Fort Wayne. read more

I love the food here. The Don is definitely my favorite pizza (a unique pizza with hybrid marinara-ranch base sauce, garlic, grilled chicken, basil, and tomato), and while they have a number of other incredible pizzas, I find it difficult for me to leave that one. This restaurant has a special atmosphere, one that is like a bar but night in the slightest bit trashy (outside of maybe the plastic silverware). I thoroughly enjoy the bar sort of atmosphere without the darkness and unnecessary karaoke. This venue is home to a number of local performances and graciously hosts local art on its walls that is for sale. The upper room is a fantastic place for a party (my friends and I spent much of a summer eating pizza and watching the World Cup up there). The only reason I didn't give this restaurant 5/5 stars is because the wait staff is sometimes rude. It is difficult to have a lot of fun in the great atmosphere of the restaurant when the folks behind the counter and serving the food look angry or impatient with the customers. Was chastised by an employee for holding their pen to sign check with shirt sleeve (you can argue unnecessary, but during this pandemic, just took extra precaution). The employee continued to ramble on, even calling COVID-19 a hoax. I happen to personally know people who've died from the virus. The manager who heard this did not initially apologize and when I spoke up, rationalized the employee's behavior as humor. I appreciate comedy, however, in early May (and still now), didn't find that funny. To top it off, the employee who gave me a hard time then didn't have my order right... P.S. Terrible, my first and probably last time here. Mt wife, daughter and granddaughter drop in at around 5:45, we are the only ones in the place. Daughter and Granddaughter order slice of cheese each, get their order and go sit. Wife orders a slice with sausage. -Sorry, we are out of sausage! What kind of Pizza place runs out of sausage? Wife orders veggie. I order a grinder. -Maam, would you like your pizza when your husbands order is ready? Wife says, that sounds good. Daughter and Granddaughter are finished, my grinder comes, no veggie pizza. half way done with my grinder, still no pizza. Wife goes to ask where her pizza is, comment from behind the counter is "I threw it away, guess that makes me a pretty sh!tty employee!" I finish my grinder, and head to the counter to ask for my money back on wife's pizza. While I am waiting in line, wife gets her pizza. No comment from manager, no offer of reimbursement, nothing! I've been coming to this place for 4 years pretty often....about a year now , they got really sloppy sometimes burnt or no cheese on the pizza! And to mention that they charge 25 damn dollars for a pepperoni pie and they put no care into it. For about the last few months they have been freezing their dough so the pizza is rubbery! I reached out to them via Twitter and they offered me 2 slices of pepperoni when they gave me a bad pizza that my family had to through away cause it looked like they dropped it upside down.. Been here a dozen times or so. Only becasue it is the ONLY pizza shop in all of Fort Wayne. The pizza is always RAW. When we ask them to cook it again, they say it is fresh. The place is small, and can get crowded fast. Usually by rich, drunk people that are snooty and do not like quiet children. We usually sit outside, but the wind and homeless people can be a challenge. The seem to be generous with their cheese. Assuming it is real. It does not look like mozzarella. But tastes OK. So not sure. Overall, $5 for one slice of raw pizza is just wrong. read more

We went as a family excursion riding our bikes on a sunny Sunday to have a snack and a soda. This is in the downtown area with street parking. On busy days and nights it will be hard to find a table as they are very busy. But sitting inside is worth the wait. They have two tables in the windows to overlook the flow of street traffic and then a few more tables in the dining room. They also have a dinning area upstairs but it's awkward to climb. You stand in line to order your pizza from the counter and drinks. Guess what? They serve beer! Good beer too! They have unlimited fountain refills and condiments on the table. The pizza is by the slice. I didn't check to see if you could buy a whole pie. Their pizza is unique and you either like what they have or you don't. Some of the creations are Hmmm... but end up being yummy. Their slices are pretty large and they're decent priced. This is a must stop place if you live here or visiting. The staff is funny and nice and the place is eclectic and a good time to be at. Super fun with friends or family. read more

I don't know what it was but I just didn't care for this place at all. I ordered a single slice of pepperoni pizza and a bread stick to-go. The slice had been sitting in a heating chamber so maybe I didn't like it because it wasn't very fresh. It seemed like there was hardly any sauce on my slice of pizza and the bread stick was very bland, not garlicy at all. A friend of mine local to the area took me here last night for dinner since I was passing through town. I've never been to the area, so I had no idea what to expect. When I saw the prices on the menu, I thought they were a little high, but then I realized it's average for the area, and the pizza was well worth the price. There is always traditional pepperoni and cheese. What makes them special is they always have a specialty pizza. You can buy by the slice or whole pie. Finally! A great restaurant super close by!!! I was planning on getting a pie and having leftovers and I was glad they had custom options. Since I don't eat pork I went with spinach and garlic. It was ready in 15 minutes or so and the first taste was amazing. Being from Chicago I love my deep dish, but seriously this is amazing. The crust is light and airy, and it has fresh ingredients and the right amount of everything.
