My (now) husband and I had the incredible pleasure of finding Skylight in Denver, CO and had our wedding there on April 13, 2025. First, let me start by saying we had the most amazing experience working with the Skylight staff. From start to finish, every single person at Skylight was so sweet, welcoming, and patient, we were in such great hands!! We went in person for a intro meeting and after every question I had written down were answered without skipping a beat and we were kicking ourselves for not bring our check book to put down our initial deposit. Thankfully, we were able to do it online as well and had our date booked! It's a very DIY space and the rental was for a full 24 hours. So we had the confidence going into it that after the wedding was over we could come the next morning to grab our belongings. Once we started getting more into planning and booking the rest of our vendors we realized we were barely treading water and needed help. Thankfully, Skylight offers planning services and we were able to book the wonderful Sophie Shinn to be our Month of Coordinator. Starting two months out from our date, she helped us handle our ceremony & reception layout, answering any and all questions we had, helped recommend any vendors we didn't have booked yet at a great price, collected the COIs from our vendors, an amazing timeline for the entire day, set up all of our personal decor we brought in, orchestrated both of our immediate families for a smooth and quick ceremony rehearsal, and managed the whole day of the wedding with ease. I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to Sophie and the rest of the Skylight staff that helped bring our wedding vision to life. I seriously cannot think of one thing I would have changed or done differently. Without their help, I don't think I would have been as stress-free as I was on my wedding day. Sophie listened to all of our wishes and made it a reality, she seriously knocked it out of the park!! Also, we had an all vegan wedding, with WongWayVeg (an all vegan food truck) already on Skylights list of preferred vendors, we were thrilled. We had an indoor buffet (in case the April weather wasn't in our favor) and had Green Bus Cafe as our coffee bus outside for a coffee hour after dinner. The outside set up cocktail tables were perfect for people to step out back and relax to some cooler weather before heading back in for dancing with market lights set up inside and out. Rex from Discosapien (our DJ) kept the good vibes going with our premade playlists for every section of the night to perfection. We loved the look of Skylights wood tables and metal chairs, that we based our look around it. We went with a wildflower theme and had the tables decorated with cheesecloth, faux greenery, rechargeable lamps, and mix and match bud vases. We used Skylights in house beverage service for drinks (so convenient!) and even got their in house photo booth, draping, and rented their mobile wall. Everything looked absolutely incredible seeing our vision come to life and hearing our guest rave about how excellent and beautiful everything was. Did I mention that the amazing staff also tore down and boxed up all of our decor the night of the wedding so the next morning all we had to do was load it into our cars? 1000/10 recommend booking your wedding, next event, or party at Skylight!!! Thanks again to Sophie and the incredible Skylight staff for absolutely making our wedding day perfect. We can't wait for the professional photos to come in so I can add them to this post!! Eternally grateful, The Weiseners.

She then offered a 20% refund and asked me to change my review, which I again declined. She claimed that despite paying for full event planning services, the event was subpar because I hadn't been involved in planning it. They didn't call. They didn't ask me to go their warehouse. They didn't do anything until the week of the event, when they tried to fit me into their random available times to walk them through my space via FaceTime. To clarify, I paid $2,000 for someone to plan and orchestrate an event. What I received was maybe a $200-$300 setup, and it's apparently my fault for not planning the event I paid someone to plan. She argued that I should have requested changes during the setup. However, I wasn't home at the time. The whole point of hiring this service was to arrive at a fully set-up event with my guests. When I arrived, they were still setting up as my guests were arriving (even though they were supposed to have been gone by then). So, there wasn't time to make changes, and it would have been an awkward conversation anyway. Instead of blaming me, they should have done the job they were paid to do or not sold the package in the first place. To add insult to injury, she compared this situation to eating a pizza and then requesting a refund. This was over $2k. It's not even close to ordering a pizza and asking for a refund. She ripped me off. I stand by my request for a full refund. She should have offered that refund on her own. This event was pitiful. I will never use their services again or recommend them to anyone.

I would definitely recommend checking this place out for an event space. The things I didn't love were the main dishes they had for catering -- they were a bit bland -- but the sides were really good. The bar was just okay. The beers were super cold and crisp, but the mixed cocktails were "ehh" at best. Our company provided us with two drink tickets, so anything after that you paid out of pocket, though the prices weren't bad. If I remember correctly, mixed drinks were $7. On the way out, parking did become a bit of a headache. It's one of those paid parking systems where the venue provides a ticket for free parking, but people trying to figure out how to use it ended up backing everyone up as we were leavng.

The team is so kind and attentive -- just wonderful folks who make you feel right at home and in good company. The restaurant features breakfast all day, with signature dishes such as homemade brioche French toast, breakfast scrambles, burritos, sandwiches, acai bowls and a daily selection of fresh-baked pastries including scones, rolls, cookies and more. They also offer salads and sandwiches, including a BLT, club and veggie wrap. They sometimes have soups and chili, tool. I was even treated to a 1/4 slice of cookie -- a thank you and a surprise sample on my first visit. The menus is large, and there are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. They also serve a range of coffee, espresso, teas and alcoholic beverages, including mimosas. There is also wonderful and shaded outdoor seating in the front and back and it is quite spacious inside. And they have a lovely garden out back with all kinds of succulent plants, lavender and fruit. The space is great for groups of small or larger sizes, and the patio is dog friendly. And the music is kept pretty low and the ambiance is more chill than not, so it is also a great place to study or work -- though they do have a 90-minute limit when they are busy. And this is an interesting tidbit: Roseville 2nd Story is a flexible co-working space located on the renovated upper floor of the historic Jennings House. The space includes fixed-location desks with free house coffee, water and printer access -- plus a 15% discount on all food and beverages. You can reserve Friday through Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (daily access for $20, weekly access for $75 and monthly access for $275, with a 10% discount available for bookings of three months or more, payable in advance). You will find a few parking spots in the back, and street parking out front. And be sure to carve out some time to check out the restaurant. The Jennings House, with support from the La Playa Trail Association, is also an exhibit full of historic photographs and some furniture highlighting the history of the city, the military community, the San Diego Yacht Club and the area's Portuguese heritage.

As I live in Philadelphia but had the wedding take place in my hometown of San Diego, the last days, and many more besides, were hectic! Who knew weddings could be a cause of family drama, eh? BMR made my family's backyard, which is where the reception took place, look absolutely magical. We had purchased our flowers by walking into a flower warehouse- BMR's team arranged them for the centerpieces, made boutonnieres and my bouquet, all done perfectly. We had rented the tables, chairs, table-cloths and all other fancy miscellanea, and enlisted one of my relatives to bring over bundles of themed items- BMR set everything up and had it looking far better than I imagined it could look. Mandy, the owner/manager, had, er, managed to use some cheap white cloth as a covering to our ugly plywood overhang. It was a similar look to those tent rentals that are becoming popular. As far as I know, my parents have kept it, it looks so lovely and uses so little to add a punch. There are other things I must be forgetting, but hopefully the picture is coming together of all the work The creme de la creme was a huge, we're talking 10'x5'?, banner that was hung to block our wonderful but unsightly neighbor's yard. It was custom to match our wedding invitation font, completely BMR's idea. It also matched our logo, which was a bit unusual (octopus&silkworm) but was made to retain elegance. My husband loved it and still talks about it. Our reception was gorgeous, and BMR worked incredibly hard to make it so. This was made even more difficult by the aforementioned family drama and too many wannabe chiefs. BMR still managed to fix everything in a creative, cost-friendly (due to our own needs), breathtaking way all the while calmly dealing with family madness. If you are looking for someone with a knack for pulling a mess together, stirring it all up, and then serving a gorgeous brew, this company is for you.

For the high price, I was expecting better food and service. When we arrived and checked-in, we got a couple of cocktails, so that was a good start. The staff was eager to take photos of my husband and I, so that was nice as well. When it was time to go to our designated dome, we had to check with the staff again, which was no big deal. I liked that each dome had different aesthetics inside. Ours was nicely decorated, with a winter theme. It was pretty chilly, so blankets and a heater were also provided inside the dome. To start, we were given some bread rolls, but if you want anymore, it was an extra cost. Drinks, including water, was also extra. The first course was a tiny white bean salad, which didn't arrive until almost an hour later. The main course arrive about another hour later. Our group chose all three options, which included a Baja pink grouper, boneless chicken breast, and a vegetarian dish. When you make your reservation, you don't know what you'll be eating, except that it will be either seafood, meat, or vegetarian. I wasn't expecting a chicken dish to be included in a 3-course meal that costed $150 per person (not including tax, tip, drinks, or service charge). Dessert was some kind of butter cake. The food wad mediocre at best and service was slow as a snail. The only good thing was the pretty domes we got to sit in, but I felt that it was not worth the hype. Three days after opening it is still expected to appear shortly. The night we went they had three servings. It came across a bit disorganized. Our server was fantastic. First course was a salad with garbanzo beans, not a big dish, but very tasty. The main course was meat or fish. I had the fish dish which was sea bass with a risotto. The meat dish was chicken with cauliflower, maybe not very impressive and many expected meat to be beef not chicken. Finally the dessert was semi-fredo with honeycomb. Very tasty We had a pinot and a cabinet sauvignon with the meal. The pinot was not much of an experience and the cabernet too heavy. Given that the meal is $500+ for four people, without the wine, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. Overall fantastic experience but the food was at best mediocre.
