Where do I even begin with Ivory & Stone?! Let's just say without them, there probably would've been no wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Robyn Fallon. The other girls were always available, but boy did I get lucky with her! She felt like a best friend during those six months, but was so professional at the same time. She knew every single detail that needed to be dealt with, at a moments notice (things I would've never thought of). We had many video calls, but I began looking forward to them. She never complained or made me feel crazy for changing my mind 64828 times. I trusted her with my life at that point. She knew I didn't like something before I even knew I didn't like it. I gave her the reigns, and she NAILED everything. The design, the vendor coordination, the scheduling, etc etc etc. They also use this platform that allows you to track everything, and it has every information a wedding could need. It made vendor shopping, budgeting, and communication so easy. I was never worried I was forgetting something. Some of my planning I was doing overseas, which did not make anything harder due to how accommodating she was. Keep in mind she's also planning 47382 other weddings at the same time, but I felt like the only one. Fast forward to the big day... it went perfect. I could cry thinking about it. She was checking in on us throughout the entire day / night making sure we had food, drinks, and reminding us to enjoy each moment. We interviewed a couple of wedding planners but it was clear from the beginning that Robyn was personable, organized, and responsive enough to make our dream wedding a reality. We didn't even know where to start with planning and there truly wouldn't have been a wedding without her. Robyn helped us with every step. She recommended venues and toured them with us, and even convinced us to tour the spot that we eventually booked as our venue after we initially vetoed it! She knew it was perfect for us before we did! Robyn has assembled an awesome team! Everyone we worked with was organized, professional, and easy to spend time with. Robyn "buttoned up" all the details for us. She recommended fantastic vendors, organized interviews with them, reviewed the contracts, made recommendations, and helped us finalize everything leading up to the big day. Robyn was amazing at negotiating with vendors and was almost always able to get us a discount or some complimentary add-ons, as if her work wasn't already work every penny. When inevitable and unwanted surprises came around, Robyn immediately took care of things on our behalf and always came with a solution already in place, so things were as stress-free as possible. For example, when our rental company told Robyn, two days before the wedding, that they didn't have enough of the silverware and glasses that we had ordered months before, Robyn worked with them to get a great replacement and a refund for their mess up before she even called us to tell us there was an issue. When it was forecast for rain on our wedding day, Robyn worked with our venue to develop an incredible alternative and made the decision for us to move the ceremony inside, which meant that we didn't have to stress about making the call ourselves in the madness of getting ready for our wedding. Robyn's attention to detail cannot be beat. Her day-of services were so incredible, I don't know how she and her team pulled it off! She was always available if I looked for her, but somehow had her hands on everything behind the scenes. I have a difficult time using the word "perfect" to describe something but our experience with Robyn and the way our wedding turned out, I can't think of any other word to describe it. All of her recommendations for venues, vendors, music, anything really - were phenomenal. My husband and I are still in awe of how BEYOND PERFECT our wedding day was because of Robyn and Sara! We began working with Ivory + Stone Event Co. after our engagement in 2018 up until our wedding in October 2021 due to COVID. Hiring them was the single best decision we made for our wedding. I started my wedding planning journey with the presumption that I would be able to plan it myself, and quickly came to the realization that I was out of my league and needed a professional to rely on. My husband and I consulted a wedding DJ friend of ours who has worked numerous planners in San Diego, and he cited Robyn and Sara as "the only planners he'd hire if he were to get married". We clicked with Robyn and Sara the moment we met them and instantly knew that we were in good hands. Not only do they bring a high caliber of professionalism and knowledge, but they are so down to earth and we felt like we were planning our wedding with friends (really, really organized friends). They have a vast amount of experience working with different vendors and were able to craft a personalized list within our budget for us to select from. It's pretty incredible how they managed to morph the daunting task of planning a wedding into an enjoyable process! Robyn and Sara truly went above and beyond for us and I cannot sing their praises enough. They folded napkins the night before our wedding, picked up our silverware so that we could avoid fees, HAND-TIED 100 loaves of bread with paper and twine, and countless other gestures to make sure that my husband and I had our dream wedding. I am SO glad that I opted for full planning. I saw the tremendous amount of work that went into contacting vendors, finding vendors within budget, coordinating timing between vendors, ensuring cohesive design, and keeping everything organized and would have been overwhelmed if I had to take on that responsibility. Robyn and Sara are worth their weight in gold! They are meticulous in everything that they do. For example, Robyn combed through all of my vendor contracts before I signed for anything and found mistakes in two contracts that would have cost me a pretty penny. If you can't tell by the length of this review, I can't give enough positive feedback about my experience with Robyn and Sara. They kept me sane and guided my through the planning process with ease. They went above and beyond what any of my friends' planners did for them, they were extremely patient with me when I changed my mind 10000x, and they kept me stress free. On the day of my wedding, I was not concerned or nervous because I was confident in my A-team of vendors. Hiring Sara was the absolute best decision I made for my wedding. I hired her as my month-of coordinator and it made ALL the difference! She is an incredible event organizer who made sure everything stayed under control in that month or so before the wedding, plus she graciously filled in all the little gaps that I may have missed. I later heard that there were little snafus that had gone on behind the scenes on my wedding day, but I had no idea they were happening -- everything went perfectly according to plan and Sara only ever had a smiling face and boundless patience whenever I saw her.
