5 months ago I had a door installed. It doesn't fit and there is always an excuse as to why.

It's just a fence…read more........ Ashley was our project manager, and she did all she could to help me get through the issues of my fence, which I appreciate. The actual installation of the fence is where the disconnect comes. The contractors are there to put up a fence. However, that may go. Since Dandale employs these people, I assume they are up to the company's standards and living up to Dandale's mission. I assume they have worked on other projects and have gotten approval, making their resolution and customer service how Dandale wants the experience to go. After my wood fence install, I had concerns about some of the wood quality used. The contractors dismissed me six times, saying they had to use it, and gave me the final walkthrough paper to complete on my FIRST final walkthrough. The final walkthrough paper is misleading because to sign is agreeing that "you are 100% satisfied," which was not true in my case. After getting in touch with Dandale and showing pictures, the contractors had a change of heart and suddenly left and returned with better wood quality. After changing the pickets and one rail post, I pointed out two more. Instead of changing the whole rail, they cut it with a chainsaw, cutting into the post simultaneously. They then put a new half piece up (for some reason, leaving the other half of the poor-quality wood still there) while leaving the splice in the post and the point where they connected unevenly showing. To make matters worse, they left without a walkthrough, meaning there was still another rail similar to this janky fix that needed attention, but at that point, I no longer wanted the same crew and mentioned this to Dandale when I contacted them with the new update. The answer: The same crew returned a third time to put a picket OVER the unsightly uneven half-board connection they made (hiding it) and did not address the issue of driving off. I asked the contractors for a new crew to do the final repairs, but they insisted on doing the last rail and, this time, did a final walkthrough with another family member. I still don't know what it looks like a day later, nor do I care to know. Dandale approves their methods, so there is no need to continue to go back and forth. My experience is why I say Gillian oversold the company. It is not a miracle fence company that only does fences and has the highest quality products. Some may be true, but it does not translate to an experience, unlike any other fencing company. My experience was not the highest experience or quality (without much back and forth). It is just a fence company that CAN put up a nice fence. It is not worth automatically stopping here just for the name or what the salesperson says at the two-hour quote (and yes, it takes two whole hours) CONS Pressure cooker: Personal preference probably, but I do not like making decisions on the spot. When you get the quote, you must accept it at the table or lose it. Another pressure cooker moment is when doing the final walkthrough; you are walking through with the same people with whom you may have voiced concern and had to go back and forth. Uncomfortable, especially if you have the same number of back and forth as I did. Problem-solving: When you have an issue with the contractors, they send the same contractors out to fix the problem you have already told them about. For me, this meant them leaving and coming back too many times. By the last time, it is clear that customer service is out the window. Quality: The contractors ignore the quality of the materials when picking, loading, unloading, or using them. Only some of the wood is poor quality, as most of mine was good; however, to boast that you have the highest quality product means you vet through the material. From my experience, this is not the case. It is "you get what you get." PROS: They offer a flat rate Military Discount They handle your HOA They advertise to have a five-year warranty (I cannot attend to how this will go, but I may have to use mine) The consult to get a quote is scheduled quickly The process from beginning to end is done as soon as possible The contractors were pleasant Gillian bleeds Dandale (she may have oversold the company, but she deserves every bit of acknowledgment for how she represents them) The direct Dandale employees are pleasant, professional, and friendly.

We had a premium vinyl fence installed by DanDale Fencing at our home in Yorktown, Virginia…read more(located in the new Celestial Way Community), and the experience was disappointing for a project costing us nearly $16,000. While the installation crew worked hard and the materials are solid, the planning, communication, and honesty from management were severely lacking. After our fence was completed, DanDale installed a fence for our neighbor. Their project received noticeably better work: a large, properly leveled gate, ground grading, and barriers to eliminate gaps. These were all things DanDale told us were "not possible" in our yard. Seeing the difference made it clear we did not receive the same level of care or effort. Our salesperson, Billy, assured us the yard's grade was no issue. On installation day, the crew told us to have a gate, a large gap would be left under the fence on the right side of our yard. When we called the office, Jeremy claimed we had been warned beforehand, which was untrue. Only after we pushed back did they offer a "custom gate" to fix the problem -- at an extra cost. Because we refused to pay more for something that should have been planned correctly, we ended up losing a gate entirely just to keep the fence flush to the ground. There was no English‑speaking supervisor or project manager on-site, making communication difficult (we had to use Google Translate). The crew did their best, but they were put in a bad position by their own management. We ended up without a gate on the right side of our property unless we pay additional for a custom gate. So, despite losing a gate and access to part of our yard due to their poor planning, DanDale offered no price adjustment for no gate nor any other appropriate solutions. In the end, we upheld our financial responsibility; they did not uphold theirs. To date, they have made no attempt to follow-up with us or take any satisfaction steps. Despite what others have gone through, I cannot recommend a company like DanDale Fence.

I LOVE this Lowe's! We moved to Suffolk about three years ago after purchasing our very first home…read more Little did we realize how much upkeep was involved in owning your own home! We come to this Lowe's often enough the employees recognize us right away! We have accomplished a dozen projects thanks to the employees at this store. They all seem to know a ton about the department they work in. We have had people advise us on paint, plumbing, lawn care etc. They really know their stuff! I really appreciate that Lowe's supports the military. The extra discount really helps a lot when you are on a tight budget. Today's visit was because we needed a new bedroom door. Not only did he show us where we needed to be, he made sure we had all the parts we needed to hang the door properly the first time. He didn't just point a finger, he walked us to where we needed to go. We also got paint that had to be matched. They really worked hard to find us a suitable compliment to the oddball paint we were already working with. Long story short, we love this store!

This Lowe's has the rudest employees that I have met in a retail store, maybe ever. I asked a group…read moreof three employees in the back of the store where I could find polycarbonate screens. They told me to look in the aisle with window and fiberglass screens. I found what I was looking for, then I returned to them and asked if this store could cut the polycarbonate. One guy had an expression like he was so appalled and annoyed that I returned to ask another question. They were still confused until I said "polycarbonate board" and then it clicked for them. One of the guys, with the utmost passive aggressive tone imaginable, told me I'd be better off doing it myself because the only person who does that just uses a box cutter and isn't good at it. I said thanks and walked away, but then I could hear them talking about how dumb I was that I didn't know the difference between a "screen" and a "board". I get it, I could've used proper lingo, but that doesn't give them the right to act super annoyed and talk smack about me right behind my back. At least wait until the break room to do that. I didn't want to make a scene and I had better things to do. I shop here all the time since it is my closest hardware store but I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on, to a store that actually trains their employees to be respectful.
