I'm not sure how often they grill outside, but someone was grilling tri-tip yesterday. We bought the tri-tip family meal, which came with tri-tip that we picked up outside, then had it sliced inside at the deli counter, 2 lbs of baked beans with bits of unexpected pineapple, potato and macaroni salad, and rolls, all for only $36.99 + tax. The tri-tip was still juicy and delicious after microwaving it at home, and the cold salads made it back safely since we had a cooler. The beans were exceptionally delicious. I've never had them with pineapple before, only in macaroni salad. We need to boycott fast food with their outrageous prices these days. This was obviously better and fairly priced.

At 7:01, an announcement came on saying the store had been closed for one minute and to head to the register. Totally fair. I needed one more thing from produce so I hurried- another announcement at 7:02 said to "stop shopping- we are closed" I grabbed my last item and went up front. By 7:03, I was already being checked out. And yet the reaction from staff was... unbelievable. There were several employees standing at the front just staring at me--clearly irritated, like I'd personally ruined their evening. It was three minutes past closing. Not 30. Not 15. Three. Then it somehow got worse. They were out of bags (understandable), so I asked if I could use the hand basket to carry my items to my car, which was literally parked right in front of the doors to the store. I was told no, "these baskets cant leave the store"--and that I needed to go outside and get a cart instead. So I had to run out, grab a cart, and come back in... while the entire staff stood there watching me. There must have been 6 or 7 employees glaring at me with dirty looks like I had insulted them personally. The older checker was grumpy and rude, but honestly the whole team contributed to making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. I completely understand wanting to close on time. But if ringing someone up at 7:03 feels like a crisis to your staff, that's a management issue--not a customer problem. Also- why not sell reusable bags if you run out of bags so often? I would have bought one to make it faster for me to exit the store. Seems like a simple solution to avoid the extreme stress your staff is experiencing

Both of which were excellent. They are not a 'cream' pie as is typical. I think they use ricotta cheese or something like it. It's really good. The fruit pies we got were blueberry and blueberry peach. Both of which were fantastic. Those are -real- peaches there. Not canned. Also, we got the Butter Chicken for dinner and that was awesome. A fragrant recipe, a little light on the tomatoes. Really yummy and probably one of the best dinners for our trip home. Very friendly folks running the place. They also have a decent fruit stand, some of the things there are gonna be good!

They…read moresomehow manage to have the best selection, from frozen foods for the days we don't want to cook, to ice cream and a great variety of drinks, as well as household items. I'm always amazed at what I can find there, and I'm so glad I don't need to drive all the way to the big stores, saving those trips for another day. We also fill up our gas there when running low, which is very convenient before hitting the lake or before heading to the city areas. So glad it's so close!
