Beyond the pies, the store features an excellent selection of locally made products, including dry fruits, honey, chips, nuts, candies, oils, and Indian food. I picked up some roasted salted jumbo corn and coconut candy, while we also discovered pistachios, garlic-flavored snacks, apple candy, tomato chips, and several other interesting treats. My wife particularly enjoyed browsing the variety of oils and ended up taking a few home. Adding to the experience, the people working there were very friendly and welcoming, and the convenient hours made the stop even easier. I also appreciate how strongly they support local and locally grown products. It's the kind of place where you go in for one item and leave with a bag full of goodies! Even her coworkers appeared shocked by the way she was speaking to and treating me. I figured maybe she was having a bad morning and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, on my next visit, the exact same thing happened with the exact same employee. Once again, I was polite to her, and once again she acted like she had some kind of personal vendetta against me. Her coworkers again seemed visibly uncomfortable with her behavior. At 7:01, an announcement came on saying the store had been closed for one minute and to head to the register. Totally fair. I needed one more thing from produce so I hurried- another announcement at 7:02 said to "stop shopping- we are closed" I grabbed my last item and went up front. By 7:03, I was already being checked out. And yet the reaction from staff was... unbelievable. There were several employees standing at the front just staring at me--clearly irritated, like I'd personally ruined their evening. It was three minutes past closing. Not 30. Not 15. Three. Then it somehow got worse. They were out of bags (understandable), so I asked if I could use the hand basket to carry my items to my car, which was literally parked right in front of the doors to the store. I was told no, "these baskets cant leave the store"--and that I needed to go outside and get a cart instead. So I had to run out, grab a cart, and come back in... while the entire staff stood there watching me. There must have been 6 or 7 employees glaring at me with dirty looks like I had insulted them personally. The older checker was grumpy and rude, but honestly the whole team contributed to making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. I completely understand wanting to close on time. But if ringing someone up at 7:03 feels like a crisis to your staff, that's a management issue--not a customer problem. Also- why not sell reusable bags if you run out of bags so often? I would have bought one to make it faster for me to exit the store. Seems like a simple solution to avoid the extreme stress your staff is experiencing

They use Boars Head meats, delicious cheeses and they serve everything on fresh baked bread or rolls. I had an espresso while we waited for our order, it was really tasty. We grab our order to go as we passed through town, but we will no doubt be back.
