Went last night for dinner right at 5:00. One of the first to be seated. Not busy at all. From the get go the service was horrible. Our server knowing that there was 8 of us and her tip was included treated us like we were a bother to her. Never once came and asked how our food was. Was standing at the bar talking to the bartender almost the entire time we were there. Asked for another Diet Coke from someone else because she never came by to check our drinks, they brought back a water soda because the syrup was out & when we told her they never bothered to correct it or offer something else. Ordered a fish plate and it was 2 fish sticks, a HUGE pile of frozen green beans & fries. I actually asked if that was the kids fish and she said no. It was disappointing. I sent it back because it literally tasted like frozen fish sticks. Some else ordered a steak which was overcooked and the carrots were hard, spaghetti was mediocre. When your bill is $$$ you except a little more. And I hate to leave a bad review knowing how this industry works and once being a part of it but this was not good at all. We were serviced by Kaley, she was very helpful and straightforward. She did her job well. The ambiance was chill, reminded me of a Panera in a good way. We ordered the rattlesnake pasta and it was one of the best pastas I've had in a while definitely redeserving of another visit if in town. We also got the special of the day which was blackened shrimp pasta which was okay nothing extraordinary but nothing to also make you remember it. We both got the broccoli cheddar soup that comes with the entree and the soup was chunky and just overall missing flavor. Surprisingly good food at a hotel eatery. Our server Akeem was fabulous. Very friendly and personable. We did have to wait about 30 mins to get seated for dinner for our party of 6. The place was jumping on a Monday night! Nice bustling atmosphere. My side salad was super - very cold and crisp! My spaghetti and meat sauce was also very good, as was the garlic bread stick that came with it. The absolute star was the house-made carrot cake. Excellent, tasted freshly made. Came here for dinner and the wait was long. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer- they were decent size and delicious with the sauce. I ordered the baby back ribs with fries and a house salad. We explored quite a bit of Cody and many restaurants were not open on a Sunday evening. I understand there is a labor issue. We found this hotel restaurant close by. There was plenty of parking in the lot. We called ahead to ask about a reservation. We were told they did not take reservations, but they did not tell us we did not need one. We did not need one. We were seated promptly against a tall partition. A friendly young server immediately brought dinner rolls, I tried to eat mine, but it was literally too tough to cut open to butter! I'm not sure what causes that. Maybe steaming old rolls? The service was excellent. The wifi did not work. The tables and floor were clean. read more

Lunch wasn't a good as I remember from previous visits. The Grilled Meatloaf sandwich lacked taste, it was very bland. Maybe I'm just used to a meatloaf with more ingredients such as onions, bell peppers and some filler ( most of the time it is oatmeal). The sandwich did have pepper jack cheese and steakhouse aioli that should have lent a little flavor to the sandwich but unfortunately did not. The onion rings could have saved the day for the meal but the onions were sliced too thin and were swallowed up by batter. My wife had the Honey Bear sandwich which she said was pretty good but if she ordered it a gain she would ask for the honey mustard to be replaced with a spicy mustard (maybe call it the Grizzly Bear). The fries were very good, We'll try to get back there before we leave Cody to try another meal. Service was very good and prompt. One of the BEST restaurants I have ever visited-food, service and atmosphere. I set at the bar. The mixologist was prompt. friendly and gracious. I decided to have a drink before ordering dinner. Makers old-fashion was my drink of choice. I ordered the crab cakes and the shrimp/strawberry/mandarin salad. The crab cakes were made in house and had a wonderful sauce. They were delicious. The salad was very fresh with giant cold shrimp, fresh strawberries, mandarins and feta cheese on a bed of spinach greens. It was served with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. We stayed in Cody for a few days during our Yellowstone trip. We were looking for a family friendly restaurant where we could dine after a long day of sight seeing in the Yellowstone National Park. This place was exactly what we were looking for. It is located inside a Best Western hotel, and easy to find. Let's start with the food. We ordered the Crab Cakes for appetizers. They were delicious however small in portion. We also ordered the Chicken Marsala Pasta was their special for the day and it comes with a side salad or soup. We had the House Salad - which was really good. I have had Chicken Marsala based pasta in the past and they are usually over powering in terms of spices (and garam masala). This pasta was however perfect! We also ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Pasta which was ok. The garlic bread that comes with all the pastas are excellent. For dessert, we ordered their Lemon Cheese Cake - it was not too sweet with the right amount of lemon flavor to it. We enjoyed it. As you can see in the picture, it looks great too - very well presented. Coming to the service - one of the best. Everyone at the restaurant are very friendly. There are few restaurants I usually frequent because of the service. This is absolutely one of them. Overall a great restaurant with good food and awesome people. But after sitting for 12 minutes and watching everyone around us get waited on we asked about our server. 5 more minutes and she finally came. I had the blackened salmon with Caesar salad. We came into Cody and stayed at the hotel. On our second night we chose to eat at the hotel after seeing food served the night before. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food came quickly while being moderately busy. My wife had a nice salad and spaghetti with meat sauce. We have a friend that makes the best sauce ever, this was the closes to Merrell's sauce anyone has gotten. I had a steak last night and chose pan fried Walleye. I don't get Walleye in CA. Fish was perfectly browned and a crispy skin. Nice size fillet. I would order this again should I come through Cody again. Clam chowder was good, needed more clams for my taste. One of the nicest casual dining places in town. Whether I am in a large group in a reserved room or simply stop in for lunch, they always take care of me and have great service. Their mac and cheese is awesome, as are the salads and dessert. Really, everything is good. The bathrooms and restaurant are always clean. Minimal menu, with unexciting choices. Servers are just okay, and if you get stuck with Nicole, well, ask to move. She was inattentive, spoke so quietly you couldn't hear her, non-personable, actually laughed at us when we weren't being funny, (under her mask, as if we couldn't see that gesture), and did I mention inattentive?!? Ya, that! I think she needs some social training - felt like she was afraid to interact with her patrons, especially us, and very hurried making herself inaccessible. They were busy, I'll give yer that, but not THAT busy. Baffling. But I digress. Moving on... We ordered iced teas and no water - she was puzzled by that - no water. Didn't think it was an odd decline, but she had a very hard time with it. (Can't make this stuff up.) And when she returned to our table, after running off, we managed to order an open-face turkey sandwich, an 8th Street salad, and steak sandwich with soup. The portions on our plates, mostly the turkey sandwich, were embarrassingly small, and everything came out at once. Seriously regretting not taking some pics. My bad. Any ways, the turkey sandwich came out with a very small portion of filleted dark-meat turkey, (I think, could've been a piece of dark-meat chicken for all I know, but definitely not white-meat turkey), on top of two slices of halved extra thin white bread, and some fries. I had declined the cranberry sauce and asked for my gravy on the side, but dang, my plate (the turkey mostly) was still unfortunately scant. Don't understand, but, whatever. Taste of the food was decent, but, overall, the whole meal was NOT worth what they charged - $43.00, before tax and tip. Oh, almost missed this gem - we had tried to order chicken wings as an appetizer, but our waitress snapped at us that they were out, not kindly either, and no offers of anything else. She practically ran from our table after, too. So, that was ixnayed. And so no appetizer for us this meal. Long story short, this was our second attempt at this restaurant with unfortunate service and food results again. Therefore, we will NOT be returning yet again and not giving a recommendation you try it out either. Although, you may get luckier than we ever have. Your choice. Good luck! read more

So impressed after our first visit for dinner and drinks, that we went back another evening. The food is wonderful and the bar is classy, with lots of regulars. It's a pretty busy place, and twice we took seats they'd normally have. Taryn quickly engaged us on our first visit, making us feel like one of the regulars. We sat at a high top table in the bar and it was clear that she controls both it and the restaurant. The staff seem well trained, all of them being professional, pleasant. Service is fast and efficient. We asked Taryn if she was working the following day. She said no, but would be the day after that. We knew we'd be back before leaving town. When we returned, we weren't sure Taryn would remember us, as the place is obvious very busy. Taryn spotted us walking in and immediately said "You're back!" As we waited for our order, we watched her ask staff to find a place for a very elderly regular. It was wonderful to see the kindness and compassion of the staff. If we lived in or near Cody, we'd truly be regulars, too. read more
