The flower lady helped immensely and picked out the lowest cost product for us to buy because we only needed a small amount. No upsells, gimics etc only honest advice from people who obviously care about plants and trees. The plant and tree selection was fantastic and it's a fun place just to walk thru. We will definitely be coming back here for all our yard and houseplant needs.

Otherwise, our experience was overwhelmingly subpar for the investment. We asked for a simple front yard landscaping revamp. There were more misses than wins with the overall delivery: 1) Design proposal took longer than quoted (no big deal, I know they're busy), and was missing a key part we originally asked for (and got an "oops sorry, here's a haphazard fix"). Design still lacked some our accessory asks, but we decided to disregard those anyway. I feel as though our vision wasn't heard and believe me, I am an over-communicator. Maybe budget was an unspoken obstacle? But if so, it should have been communicated - we were flexible! 2) The install day was never scheduled, and the install team showed up unannounced without designer oversight as promised. Luckily I was able to arrange to stay home for the install. 3) We were charged for new plants, that we didn't receive. Instead they "transplanted" our dead plants that looked awful (these were the reason we were investing in new landscaping altogether). 4) Old random foliage and plants were left in our landscape (likely with intention, because they planted the new around them which threw off spacing). 5) Some plants did not take and remained weed-y, even with frequent and appropriate watering. When addressed, we were told we were not watering enough... doubt it, but ok. See photos. I'm shocked they thought this was acceptable, and didn't ask how to handle if there was question at the time of install. We ended up needing to replant about half of the overall work ourselves. Old plant concerns were remedied on our invoice, and follow-up communication was prompt from the designer at least. Won't re-engage.

I needed two trees cut down at a very difficult island location in BUCKEYE Lake. They were not able to bring any of their heavy vehicle equipment onto the island. Joe had a crew of six people. They were able to climb the trees and cut off the limbs and the ground crew cut up the limbs and brush. Nate was like a little monkey climbing up the tree! This job was like a lesson in science and math. They used ropes and pulleys with tension. It was a huge job and they tackled it methodically. The ground crew even used a rake to rake up the little pieces and then a blower to disperse the sawdust. This was a difficult job and they nailed it. I will most definitely call them again and you should, too.

I recently hired this company for a large tree removal project that cost approximately $4,100. The…read moretree itself was removed successfully, and I appreciate the work they did on that portion of the job. However, I was disappointed by the amount of damage left behind in my yard. Before the work began, I specifically asked multiple times what to expect regarding lawn damage and was repeatedly assured it would be "minor." I understood and accepted that the area immediately surrounding the tree would be affected, but the damage extended much farther into the yard than I was led to expect (especially given the before/after photos in other reviews did not have the same level of damage). There are deep ruts and holes well beyond the tree's location, and some areas appear to have been filled with wood chips and then covered with pieces of torn-up sod rather than properly repaired. While I understand that tree removal is demanding work and some lawn damage is unavoidable, I feel the extent of the damage should have been communicated more honestly beforehand so I could have made a fully informed decision and budgeted for any necessary lawn repairs. After the work was completed, I sent the company photos of the damage in hopes of discussing my concerns. Rather than acknowledging my perspective or offering a constructive response, I received what I felt was a defensive reply that placed the blame on me for supposedly misunderstanding what had been explained. That response was disappointing and made the experience even more frustrating. I'm sharing this review so that future customers know to ask very specific questions about the potential extent of yard damage and to consider the possibility of significant lawn repair costs in addition to the price of the tree removal itself. I have attached before and after pictures to fully convey the damage that has occurred. While I do acknowledge some of this is natural dormancy, the ruts and bare spots are most certainly not. I would not consider this to be minor damage. (Dog in photos covered for his protection). I also included a photo from my blink camera showing zero protection to my backyard.

A broken wrist stopped me from planting in Spring and early Summer, but I sallied forth today with a list of nearby nurseries. Seely's was first on my list, and I didn't need to go farther. They have an impressive selection of trees, shrubs, flowers, and leafy perennials. Their Hosta selection is the largest I've ever seen. At a guess I'd say they have at least 100 different varieties. It's incredible! The Seely's employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and service-oriented. Julie hauled my cart all through the many plants, giving me advice on what plants would work with my East and West-facing planting areas. When I found one of my favorite plants looking a bit scraggly late in the season, she pruned the leggy parts off and left the beautifully formed inner stems and leaves for me. She was patient as I back-tracked to revisit plants I was interested in. Then she helped me load all my plants and a couple bags of Sweet Peat mulch/soil enhancer into the back of my Outback. I will definitely return to Seely's as I fill out my garden areas in the coming years. And I'll definitely watch for Julie when I do. This nursery doesn't look like much from the road, but it is truly a hidden gem! Check it out the next time you have landscaping and gardening needs!
