A sales representative named Karl came out to provide me with a quote for a new front door and rear sliding glass door. The front door was a simple steel door with sidelights. Nothing fancy. He quoted me $12,000!!! $7,000 more than other quotes I received. I then asked him to email me the quote so I have documentation of it. He never emailed it to me after I asked him twice. They never followed up with me. I just couldn't believe how high the quote was. We obviously went with someone else. I wish he would have least not ignored my texts and responded to my request. read more

I have waited months before they started to build my deck. They also removed my existing small deck without having a permit to build the new deck (very unprofessional). This blocked our access to the backyard for more than a month unless we go out the front door and get in from the fence gate. When they finally started to build it they failed to implement details as they were written on the contract. For example the bottom deck should have been close to the ground with one step all around it but they skipped that part all together. Finally, they left without even fully completing the deck and I had to call them multiple times about the missing sections. They came back multiple times and each time they only do small part and act everything else is fine. I, finally, gave up and stopped calling them and the deck is not fully complete yet. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

A huge tree fell on the steps connecting our lower deck to our upper deck. The full flight of stairs had to be replaced. We decided to upgrade our railings along with replacing the steps. It was a big job. We found Classic Exteriors and they gave us several options. They were very professional, great communicators and we are very happy with the work they did. Mr John Lynch refused to provide a quote for my project when I said my wife and I were not available to be there at the same time to meet Classic Exteriors staff. We work different shifts with different days off, so our time together is very valuable. We don't want to spend it listening to a sales pitch. I had a relatively small job (rotting window trim) and wanted a price estimate. I've never had any similar issues with other companies when I'm the sole one to receive estimates. When I asked for an explanation on why both spouses being present was company policy, Mr Lynch refused to provide an explanation and hung up on me. I only gave two stars because he seemed knowledgeable until that point and the answering service was friendly. read more

We had our consult within a week of calling. It took a while to get the crew out but with the pandemic and a backup/shortage this wasn't terribly surprising. They had our old deck ripped out with the mold in place for the patio within a day. Came out once the temps came down and had everything poured in a few hours. We have to wait about a week to use it but so far it looks great and I'm pleased with the stamp work and the efficiency and quality of getting it done. read more

If anyone is wondering why there are very few negative reviews it's because Rick makes you sign a work contract that specifically states you will not leave a negative review. When my partner who read the contract expressed concern about this and refused to sign, Rick stated he would remove that language and resend it to his representative who was at our home. After being assured the language was removed my partner looked over the contract again only to find that Rick never completely removed the language! After the contract was reviewed and the language taken out, we agreed... signed the paperwork, and ordered the windows. Rick eventually came out to our home and shared the original windows and door we ordered would not work and provided us with our options. We explained to Rick we wanted minimal disturbances to our view as the windows were for a screened porch. We opted to go with the windows Rick suggested as we did not want an additional transom at the top. Several months later the windows arrived and were installed. We quickly noticed the windows did not open completely about 10" from the top and most of the joints were sloppy. The window quality was very shotty and not at all what we expected from custom made windows (Polaris Windows and Doors). In Fact, we have some stock windows that were made in China that have perfect joints and function properly. Not once did Rick or anyone from his company tell us the windows would not function properly and open like a normal window. We immediately called Rick who came out to our home (after many excuses) and stated he is only the installer and that our issue is between us and the window company who made them. The windows were ordered through Classic Exteriors and installed by Classic Exteriors. This rationale would be one of Rick's many attempts to deflect and redirect. Once I challenged Rick's excuse about not being responsible for the window fully functioning... Rick responded "I never said the windows would open the entire way." I told Rick he never said they wouldnt and any reasonable person would expect a window to open fully. Once pressed Rick said he would reach out to the window company. Rick went on to state that he would "take care of you", "I'll make sure you're happy" and something about being in recovery and "doing the right thing". Rick pressured us for the remaining funds stating that he has to pay for the windows and his employees and promised us that he would personally resolve the issue. Rick said that maybe they can adjust the windows to open fully and put in new joints. Rick only said this to appease us to get the rest of his money. After pressing the issue Rick sent out his son and a representative of Polaris Windows and Doors to clean up the joints and to tell us there is nothing they can do to fix the windows so they would open properly. Rick drug his feet for months to get us an answer in an attempt to wait us out so we would give up. Rick used every excuse to stall and ignore resolving the issue such as "It was my Birthday", "My grandson was in the hospital", "I'm on vacation", and "We've been really busy". Rick is not a man of his word and like any addict, Rick says whatever he needs to make a quick buck without any regard to the person he is exploiting. Has Rick forgotten steps #8 and #10 of recovery? Luckily this is not our first time dealing with unethical contractors who lie and have recorded every single conversation and meeting with Classic Exteriors since the initial sales call visit. I am currently in the process of filing a Better Business Bureau complaint as well as a Complaint with The Attorney General. I strongly suggest recording any meetings with Rick and his staff as you may need them. read more

This company ghosted us. We were excited because of their great reviews and were going to hire them for a back porch project. The salesman was late and after about an hour said he needed to talk about the project with one of the owners to figure out how to best estimate it because it was complex. I inquired in an email to Michael, one of the owners, and have never gotten a response. We were going to spend around $15K for this project with them. I guess they have so much business they don't care. read more

Classic Exteriors did our siding! Day #1 they showed up with the wrong materials, we contacted them and ask them to sop the job! It is an improper install that is causing major water leaks and water damage! Use of improper defective materials and very poor workman ship! There are chronic and constant issues related to their work! Water continues to run out from behind the siding ! They will not fix it!! They did not even try! They had a job in the same area the materials I ordered are on their house! John switched the product order and tried to cover it up , the more we complained the faster they went!! I have arched windows and doors they just cut and bent and twisted it, (they sell flexible) J- Channel also causing water issues! The eves of the house are all uneven! read more

I asked for a quote to replace vinyl siding on one side of the house that was damaged by a lightning strike. I also had other repairs I wanted done to the siding in other areas of the house. The damaged area was a small area only about 1.5 ft. x 2 ft. My insurance provided funds to replace the entire side of the house since my siding had been discontinued. We asked about just replacing the section that was damaged and he immediately said they won't do any job that is less than $1,600 in value. We then told him we had other things we wanted repaired as well that would be within their job minimum. I then asked what his price would be to replace the entire side if we couldn't find a good color match. He seemed a bit put off by that, so I said just give me a guess which he did. He then said my insurance company should have paid to have the siding replace for the entire house, which I didn't agree with. We proceeded to ask him for a quote for just replacing the section of the damaged siding along with the other repairs/replacements (close in 2 wood gable vents and replace with siding and all wood trim boards on front of house to be capped with aluminum). He said he would take measurements to come up with the price. It seemed to take quite some time for this process and my husband had to leave. About 5 minutes after my husband left, he came back to show me all the company's insurance and bonding certificates along with photos of jobs. He then asked when he could meet with me and my husband again to go over pricing. I said I didn't have time to meet again and he could just email me the quote if he needed time to figure the pricing. He said they don't email quotes and didn't have a way to do it. I thought that was odd until he pulled out a legal size 3-part form and said he couldn't email that. What he pulled out was a contract. I said I didn't want a contract, I wanted a quote. He then said he felt Classic Exteriors wasn't a right fit for us and I agreed, so he left. What this experienced said to me was, this company won't talk to a woman unless her husband is there. When they called to set up the appointment, they insisted that my husband be present. When he first arrived, I greeted him at the door and invited him in to the kitchen and introduced him to my husband. He proceeded to hand my husband his business card - not me. Keep in mind, I was the one who set up the appointment and gave him the scope of the job. Noting is more insulting to a woman than to infer she isn't capable of making these types of decisions without her husband present. I refuse to do business with a company that treats me in this manner. read more

The job me and my wife had done was a door that needed to be framed in and a new sliding glass door.There need a framed built because the old one was gone. Russell was right on top of it . Step by step He kept us informed. When done he cleaned up and it looked better than he came. The customer service all around was excellent. I would highly recommended this company to anyone. I was going through financial hardship, but REALLY needed my front stairs replaced. I explained my situation, what I could afford, and what I would need. I originally planned on replacing the cement stairs, but they worked very well with my budget and came up with an alternate plan that I could afford and was happy with - a small deck over the old concrete. The project was completed in a timely manner and the end result was even better looking than I envisioned. What an improvement! I would use them again for another project. read more

I called for someone to come out and give me an estimate on replacement windows. The inexperienced young secretary took my name and number.............. About 10 minutes later, the salesman finally gets on the line. He barely listened to me. He spent the next minute trashing the competition. Then then GOT REAL PERSONAL with me and tried to find out who lives in my home, and DEMANDED to KNOW my WIFE'S name! THE MAN SAID HE WOULD NOT TALK TO ME any further UNLESS I GAVE HIM MY WIFE'S NAME. (I should have asked him for HIS wife's name and HER telephone number, so he knew what it felt like). I hung up on him. He seemed dishonest, like a shifty used car salesman you might see in the 1990 comedy movies, like Robin Williams in "Cadillac Man". But without the humor! All high pressure, no interest in customer, etc. you get the picture- just read the other reviews here. "Classic High Pressure Exterior Sales." Caveat Emptor. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
