The interior design is super cool, with a modern, tech-inspired theme. The QR code ordering system is very convenient, and I really love the cat robot that delivers the food. Very cute and fun experience! Most of the side dishes at the side dish bar are consistently tasty. Their hot pot is also nice, and the tomato broth is definitely my favorite. It's flavorful without being too heavy. (Personally, I prefer the Cordova location over the East Memphis one.) OMG this place is AMAZING! I loved it. You can do hotpot or Korean BBQ as a table but you can also do both for an extra fee. I love the robot that brings your food out. It's just sooooo cute. They also have a sauce bar with seaweed salad (MY FAV!) and lots of sauces. Oh yeah soup bases, I feel like whatever hodge podge I made up myself was better than the bases I've tried so far. I just didn't like teh Szechuan spicy or the Healthy Herb bases so I will definitely stick to Original next time and just add a bunch of stuff I like. I think they charge like $14 per lb that you leave on the table but will only charge the $14 if you take it home? They let me just pay that and just gave me containers to take my stuff home with. I'm giving them a solid 4.2 rating as a Korean BBQ/Hot Pot establishment -- with the weakest link being the Hot Pot. As a hot pot snob, I had a hard time giving them a 5 star rating. This was my first hotpot experience and it was amazing! From the moment you walk through the door, there's an energetic vibe with the neon lights. The tables are fascinating too since they're setup with cooktops. My server was incredibly patient and kind as she explained the menu and cooking process. I was further floored by the sauce bar where you could mix your own sauce concoctions or to play it safe, there's some suggested combinations listed on the bar. There's also a small area of traditional American fare like fries, which I didn't try. I was further impressed by the frozen drinks that were included with the hotpot price. However, I was not prepared for the level of excitement of the robotic cat server that delivered my food for my hotpot. It's incredibly adorable and smart. Most importantly, the food was great! So it is somewhat a buffet style pricing with options being just the hot pot which is a soup base, again in various flavors and you select noodles or rice. Then you can add the Korean BBQ option to cook the items at the table. Once you place your order Bella Bot brings out the food almost instantly. You have to join a waitlist which is updated via Yelp in real time, so you never have to guess about your wait time. 2. The cat robot is so much fun! The food was really good and had no issue finishing within the 2 hour window. Vegetables take longer to cook, but the mushrooms and zucchini were really good as was the cheesy corn. Tried a variety of meats and enjoyed most of them. You should know that anything noted as spicy on the menu is coated in a Tabasco sauce, and it really only works on the beef. The place has a fun modern feel, and it was a nice place for a lunch. My only feedback to the business would be to change out the grill plate at some point. By the time I finished, mine was pretty black, and it was beginning to impact the flavor of the meat. I recommend cooking everything at once then you can settle down and enjoy it without worrying if something is burning/not done yet. Any of the bulgogi meat is delicious. The prime brisket is a must. Yoooooo to all the foodies in Memphis! 901 hot pot and korean bbq is finally here and it has lived up to the hype! I waited a year for this place to open and it's finally here. We had a reservation down at 6 and as we all know the first wk of anything is gonna be a long line. Not too bad of a wait. We had a party of 8 and was sat at a table big enough for 10ppl. More room for us. Yay! The server was very thorough and attentive to what we wanted to order and needed. She started out by getting our drinks, and after serving that she began taking our orders since we opted for both the hot pot and Korean bbq. She asked that we start with the hotpot menu first, and we were asked what we wanted by each category, ex, Broth, Meat, Veggies, noodles, etc. It took about 10 mins to get through all that we wanted for the hot pot side. She had entered everything through a tablet which was very useful. We thought we ordered way too much as we hadn't even started on the Korean bbq menu yet. We then proceeded to do the same with the Korean bbq menu. It may have seemed overwhelming ordering in the beginning, but we were ready to chow down! We all went to the sauce stations afterwards to make our own sauces for the hotpot. I lost count, but there were probably over 20+ different items you can mix and match. There was also a bar next to it that had seaweed salad, fresh fruits and mini sweet desserts. As soon as the server was done taking our orders, the items for the hotpot arrived shortly afterwards. That was quick considering it was a packed house. We had a variety of broths from miso based, Tom yum and spicy szechuan. We ordered a lot of diff meats from beef, chicken, pork and lamb. We also ordered a lot of diff seafood from shrimp, calamari and mussels. The veggies played a huge part as well from watercress to bokchoy. The hot pot was pretty tasty in my opinion and it's one of the best I've had with the individual burners. Next came the meats for the Korean bbq portion, the meats came flowing and our table was full at one point. We were like, "Omg, did we order too much?!". We came to eat and we didn't hold back. I loved how the vent sucks downwards so it's not as smokey compared to other Korean bbq restaurants. The grill that they use is super non-stick, so nothing sticks to it which is nice and you won't have to change it out. The meats were well marinated and the cuts were very good in my opinion. I've gotta say this is what the 901 needed. I had just come back from my ATL trip and I had both Korean and Japanese bbq places. The ice cream is a bit plain (pre-packaged individual cups of vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate) but i'm a simple gal so I'm fine with it. it's just not the typical ice cream you think of when you picture restaurant ice cream. The service has been pretty hit or miss for me. Sometimes they're super attentive, other times I'm struggling to find our server. The ambiance is super cool, they have a big fish tank, a bar, they play relevant pop music, they show k-pop concerts or music videos on little tv's around the restaurant. And there's even a little desk where you can buy cute Sanrio keychains and other little knick knacks. The cocktails are fine, not stellar but not bad. I got Tomato soup broth base, which is my favorite flavor (at every hotpot I went to, I always get the tomato broth if you want to compare). The broth tasted perfectly wonderful and really meet my expectation. The seafoods were fresh at that moment, the meats for hotpot were amazing! If you want to eat more ingredients with hotpot, tips: don't eat any ramen or starch otherwise you gonna be fully stuff real quick! The BQQ was okay for me, but my sister and friend like it. They never eat that much meats in their life before, but I guess the marinate make it to the next level. We rearly like eating kbqq without sauce, but this one tastes good even without any sauce! Super excited to see this place open again. No AYCE sushi BUT hot pot and Korean Bar B Q. We went there for lunch - $19.99 plus $5 more for hot pot. We opted for both. Service - hostess was not very nice and seemed totally disinterested. Place doesn't open until noon. When you get there MAKE SURE YOU PUT YOUR NAME ON THE WAISTLIST with the pad they set out (see photo) even if you are the 1st one! Waitress was nice enough. Was VERY disappointed that most of the items I wanted was marked "dinner only" like shrimp! Sauces were ok. Not too many deserts. Was an ok experience. We spent almost $60 for lunch for two - not including tip. Also there is a 2 hour limit after you sit down. I mean I get it but felt really rushed. Oh finally we have a hotpot kbbq place!! There were 8 of us. Honestly I'm quite surprised of how fast we got seated Food was all you can eat for 30 for either hotpot or kbbq. Extra 5 bucks for both. The complaints I have was the ventilation sucks. There were not vents above us to take all the smokiness away. Also, I think that each table should have an iPad so you can order whatever you want instead of waiting for the server to order it for you. Sometimes the server would forget what we ordered and things would never make it to our table. We had to remind them multiple times. I got the Tom yum soup base. It was very mediocre.
