The salmon was tender and seasoned just right. I loved the rolls.

This is an all you can eat buffet and it was very satisfying. The ambiance not so great but the huge salad bar was exactly what I needed. Everything to make the best custom salad you could ask for. The rolls were good too. Salmon delicious. I would recommend and definitely go back.

My friend and I visited Brickhouse Buffet for a birthday celebration. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the hostess. The hostess showed us all the area of the buffet, so we know where everything is. When we were getting our food, I noticed how nice and clean the buffet is. I eat prime rib, salmon, corn, sweet potato mash, mashed potato and gravy, bread, and macaroni and cheese. The sweet potato mash just tasted very weird to me. I didn't finish all of it. The Prime Rib had great seasoning and flavor. The bread was soft and absolutely amazing. Everything else was just okay.

Let me start with I do NOT like buffets! I don't get my money's worth, I barely can finish 1 plate and people are just weird around buffets. With that said, this place is really good. The facility was clean and large without being overwhelming or stuffy. The servers brought out plenty of fresh hot food regularly and the stations were clean. The food is seasoned really well and not just canned goods in large quantities. I arrived just before the dinner rush at 5:00p on a Thursday. We were greeted upon entry and given the first time instructions. The waitress clears the dirty plates quickly and everyone was pleasant and thanked us for coming on the way out. The price is very on point for the variety of food, i.e. salad bar, desserts, prime rib, prawns, ice cream machine with toppings and other great southern food selections for $16.99!

The hostess seated my wife & I and our server Carter did N excellent job for us. The restaurant is large and well spaced out. It is also clean and the ambiance is a home type feel. We started with the Fried pickles cooked in fresh oil and came out hot. The country dip is good. Basically roast beef cut up and provolone melted cheese on top within a roll plus an au jou dipping sauce. It's chunkier than a normal French dip but it is good. Flavor wise, it was average and could have been seasoned a bit more. The beef is barely above the bland side as far as pot roast beef is concerned. However, combined together the components elevate the sandwich. It's worth the try to see if one would like it. French fries were good and freshly lightly salted. Cole slaw was basic. Not too creamy but also not sweet. My wife got the fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken. It was good and you will notice the grilled flavoring on the chicken. For me, the food could have benefited from a bit more seasoning but that is subjective. The meals were well worth the cost and Pop's deserves to be on anyone's go to eateries if you want good comfort dining.

They let me sample the Smoked Catfish Dip, which is served cold. It was delicious, so I had that for my appetizer. It's a huge portion and would be more than enough for 2-3 people to share. It comes with tortilla chips and they recommend trying it with the green Tabasco sauce. That adds a little heat to it. For my beer, I had a Memphis Made Fireside Amber Ale, which paired well with the both the appetizer and my entree. My entree was the Blackened Catfish with White Beans and Hushpuppies. I also tried their Homemade Tartar Sauce and Remoulade. Everything was excellent. I noticed they do quite a bit of carry out, to go orders. It looked like their to go orders outnumbered the actual restaurant patrons inside. They had a few waitresses constantly prepping carry out bags, filling sauces, etc...almost assembly line style, just to keep up. My dinner with tip was $50 plus.

The food isn't that good to begin with, maybe 4/10. I was excited to try this place because I seen them on instagram but ended up being very disappointed . The manager wasn't available to speak with, just some teenagers running the place and they didn't want to refund my son for his uneaten food nor replace the mean with something better. Not even try and compensate him (only offer a discount) and then told him to leave because he was on his phone. The cook came out acting as if he was also the security' guard, but looks like a child. Maybe that's why the food isn't that great. I definitely don't recommend this place to anyone...

My understanding is that they opened at the top of the year, but this event served as an opportunity to introduce this new black owned business to the Bartlett community. The location is quite convenient (by Kroger on Kirby Whitten). We had ample parking selections, and we were seated once we got in. We were greeted by every server, all seemed friendly and ready to serve. Inside, the atmosphere gives a family feel. There was a mix of couples in attendance, primarily skewing 40's-50's. My husband and I greatly appreciated the live jazz music, which added more upscale vibe to the overall experience. I also absolutely love that they had both a coffee bar and a standard bar. We did not try the hibachi, but that option was available as well. It took about 30 minutes for us to receive our food and about 15 minutes for us to receive our drinks. we had the mango and orange mimosas and both were good (though I highly recommend the mango). We both got the omelettes (veggie and veggie + ham). It was an ample amount of food. I couldn't even eat much of the hash browns because I was so full! For the price, we were both quite satisfied! Our server was attentive and consistently checked on us. Our water classes were never empty. I appreciate this type of service. We both agreed that we would be back, probably with family. I am hoping that this will become a staple in the Bartlett community.

I had the veggie plate with butter beans (they were a bit sweet and limas, not true butter beans), fried squash (the slice it long ways and hand batter), spinach mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs (delicious, no notes). I tried both hush puppies and a roll. Personally, the hush puppies weren't my favorite, but the roll was buttery goodness:). Most importantly, I asked our server at the beginning if they still had chocolate cobbler and if they were running low to go ahead and bring it out. At first they had plenty, but a few minutes later cobbler was in front of me because she noticed it was running low. So dessert first! Don't mind if I do:) it was warm, gooey, and delicious. The catfish is magnificent, with that wonderfully gritty cornmeal batter surrounding flaky, tender fish. The complimentary roll is also delicious! And the servers are very nice here! But there are some downsides. The fried okra, my favorite southern side dish, is actually soft and soggy. No self respecting southerner would ever make soggy fried okra. It's about the worst I ever had. And the onion rings, which are hard to mess up, were burnt black and lacked flavor. They were inedible. The cashier is rude and doesn't have time for "thank you" or small talk or a smile or even giving you your receipt when nobody else is in line to pay their bill. That's just how it is.
