Tried Brickhouse Buffet for the first time and honestly it was just okay to me. I had the dressing with cornbread and a yeast roll, plus some cabbage and 2 chicken wings. The dessert was probably my favorite part lol, I got ice cream with crumbled cookies and a little chocolate & caramel drizzle on top. I also tried the steak but sadly mine was still raw in the middle when it came out, so that kinda turned me off. The food wasn't horrible but for $24.99 I personally expected a lil more options and better quality. The atmosphere was decent and the staff was nice enough though. Brickhouse BBQ was a disappointment. The prices are high for what you get, and the buffet quality has been inconsistent, with little variety beyond occasional meat changes. After three visits, I still don't feel the food justifies the cost. I was also disappointed that they don't offer senior or military discounts, and their coupons are so limited that they're often unusable. After multiple chances, my opinion hasn't changed. My friend and I visited Brickhouse Buffet for a birthday celebration. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the hostess. The hostess showed us all the area of the buffet, so we know where everything is. When we were getting our food, I noticed how nice and clean the buffet is. I eat prime rib, salmon, corn, sweet potato mash, mashed potato and gravy, bread, and macaroni and cheese. The sweet potato mash just tasted very weird to me. I didn't finish all of it. Let me start with I do NOT like buffets! I don't get my money's worth, I barely can finish 1 plate and people are just weird around buffets. With that said, this place is really good. The facility was clean and large without being overwhelming or stuffy. The servers brought out plenty of fresh hot food regularly and the stations were clean. The food is seasoned really well and not just canned goods in large quantities. I arrived just before the dinner rush at 5:00p on a Thursday. We were greeted upon entry and given the first time instructions. The waitress clears the dirty plates quickly and everyone was pleasant and thanked us for coming on the way out. My family and I visited on a Tuesday evening around 6pm. The place appeared clean, not many customers, and a variety of items to choose from. I did appreciate the set up of having the veggies in one place and the meat in another vs having things across multiple stations. The night I visited sausage, pork loin, and " strip steak" were on the carving station. The sausage was more on the lukewarm side, the "strip steak" was in fact prime rib or something that was not strip steak...not sure how they got that wrong....tasted like prime rib. The salad bar was good and tasty (good ranch dressing). Fried chicken (spicy and original) were popular, whole catfish, cabbage, corn, greens, lima beans, catfish nuggets, ribs, Mac and cheese, were some of items available. I had my fair share of meat options which included fried chicken, catfish nuggets, rib, sausage, steak. All were ok, not spectacular, but edible. The veggies I picked were salad, lima beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and lima beans, oh and sweet potato casserole. Unfortunately, there was not one veggie option that I liked. Overall, they could do a better job of rotating the stations out when the food is low, instead of scrapping the bottom of the pan..looking at you lasagna and sweet potato casserole! If you have not tired this place, perhaps your visit will be better if you choose to go. As for me and my family, we can say we tried it, but won't return. My fiance and I had lunch there and October 4,2025. It was awesome. The food was delicious. The salad bar was the best I've ever seen and I'm originally from Las Vegas, Nevada and my family used to own the Showboat Hotel and Casino. The food was fresh and yummy. I haven't seen mashed potatoes and dressing like my family made it, but they had it. It brought me back to my childhood when Grandma and Grandpa made the dressing and mashed potatoes from scratch. My grandma passed away on September 24,2001. So it was good to have something like she used to make. If we ever get back we will go there!!! read more

My visit to Brickhouse Buffet & Carryout was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. The food on the buffet was cold the moment I served myself -- not "could be warmer" cold, but straight-up unfit to be served cold. I barely touched my plate and only ate some corn because the rest was inedible. When I brought this to the manager's attention, I expected at least an apology or some kind of solution. Instead, I got indifference and attitude. I explained that my guest actually ate their meal, so I was only asking for a refund for my buffet. He refused, acted like it wasn't a big deal, and was outright rude in the process. This kind of treatment from a manager is beyond unprofessional -- it's a clear sign that they do not value their customers or take complaints seriously. I will be contacting the owner or whoever is above him because no customer should be dismissed like this when the food quality is this poor. We visited Memphis for 2 days from LA and for lunch we were looking for places to eat. I searched Yelp and listed buffet places and Brickhouse popped up and it was close to our hotel. So we went. Boy we were surprised with their food lineup most especially the flavor. We were blown away. EVERYTHING was delicious. I mean everything from their southern fried chicken, roast, vegies, desserts and my "to die for" favorite, their fried catfish nuggets. We went to the famous Beale street for dinner and we all voted that Brickhouse was the winner. Unfortunately we had to drive back to Nashville the next morning to pick up our other friends flying in from Los Angeles so we couldn't go back to Brickhouse again. This was my first visit. It was cool. The staff was nice, they did a great job of keeping our tables clean, and the food was ok. Keep in mind when you visit, you will have to keep the same utensils (that caught me off guard, lol). I didn't eat a lot this day, but I tried the dressing, cabbage, chicken, and lasagna. I visited on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was packed as expected for a buffet business on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was clean, and the price of my meal was around $22. The price included water, tenderloin, and prime rib. It was refreshing to see an extensive buffet salad bar. There was a variety of different meats and vegetables to choose from. I enjoyed the bread pudding, roll, and ribs only. Overall, I would return again to this restaurant. It's a simple, family-friendly southern restaurant that reminds me of Shoney's. My Family, ate at the Brickhouse restaurant for Mother's Day When we got there a very nice gentleman came to our table to welcome us and to let us know all the mothers will be getting roses before they leave. On top of that the restaurant was so very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious I love the meaty lasagna the collard greens were seasoned and cooked to perfection and my favorite was the Nashville hot chicken these people can really cook. My only problem was the price was 27,99 per person and the drink was 1.89 I really think that drink should have been included in that 27.99 price but we opted for water . I normally don't eat at Buffet's; however I am extremely grateful I tried Brickhouse Buffet. From the time I walked through the door I was impressed with the hostess who truly made me feel welcome. I was also impressed with the gentleman who walked the customers to their table. I noticed he assisted customers who required assistance and he provided outstanding customer service. The food was hot, favorably, seasoned and delicious. For the first time in my life I had 3 plates of food and I completed each one. If you know anything about me you will know I am a light eater and extremely picky . Let me tell you Brickhouse Buffet now has a customer for Life. I like Brickhouse. It is a tradition for my family to go on thanksgiving. The carrot soufflé is fantastic i get it every time. The BREAD PUDDING is to die for. I think about it a lot. This was my second time to the Brickhouse Buffet. I was greeted warmly upon entering but that was where the hospitality ended. While not expecting too much service at an all you can eat buffet, we never had anyone stop by our table to ask about our visit. Also, I found the "prime rib" to be less than PRIME. The salad bar area was clean but the eggs were still frozen and not very pleasant to eat. Also there was no option for any vinaigrette dressing and the ranch was tasteless. I didn't have any of the fried food but it looked much better than the healthier option proteins. The meat loaf was okay and the desserts were obviously pulled from frozen and placed on plates on the buffet. This will likely be my last visit. I will say they had plenty of patrons in the restaurant so the appeal is definitely there for others. The floors were sticky under our table and needed to be scrubbed. read more
