After Tom stated that he would not service my 91' gti because he only services late models I was…read morehesitant to bring my 2008 gti to SOB but after failing inspection, for coolant and fuel pressure codes I chose SOB over the dealership or another shop. During service Tom indicated that he was not going to service the fuel system. First saying there was a recall then that he would discuss the issue with a VW tech and get nack to me. Following this conversation, I got no response. If I had known that there were certain services that he would not or could not perform, there is no way I would have brought my car there. When I reached out, Tom recommended that I bring it to a local dealership after I pick it up... Finding a trustworthy mechanic not to mention a VW specialist isn't easy and unfortunately this is one shop I won't use again and I can't recommend! One final note, the invoice I received listed the costs for labor and parts combined which makes charges hard to dicifer.
