I wasn't asking them to diagnose an unknown issue--I already knew the problem. I simply needed to know if they were able to repair it. Instead, they kept my vehicle for four days, then called me only to tell me exactly what I had already written in my note. After that, they admitted they couldn't perform the repair because they don't have anyone who can program the steering system. If they knew they weren't equipped to do this type of repair, they should have told me immediately instead of wasting four days of my time. They then charged me $170 for a diagnosis I never requested and even listed inspections that I never authorized. The worst part was their attitude. When I questioned why I was being charged for something I had already identified myself, instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, they threatened to call the police. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I felt that my time and money were not respected, and I will never return. I strongly encourage others to look elsewhere for honest and professional service.

Be sure to do your research before you take your car in for repairs here as only 30 miles after…read morechanging the fluid in my transmission it failed and they gave me no reason for the failure as the tec doing the work said the original fluid was clear no burnt smell or particles in it but they charged me $6629.00 for a rebuilt transmission and within a day it developed a vibration between 35 and 40 mph. I researched it with Jasper Transmissions who did the rebuild and also with the Tex's at Wall Ford and both said it was a common problem that could be rectified with a $14 fluid additive that takes about 10 minutes to install. I informed Bradley's of the vibration problem and of the conversations with Ford and Jasper and dropped my vehicle off believing they would just add the additive and Gary of Bradley's. Gary phoned me later saying he wanted me to take my truck to a specialist, which I was to pay for, claiming it was probably something in my differentials or transfer case. When I restated to Gary that it was a problem only between 35 and 40 mph and if it was to do with other parts of the drive system it would not appear and then disappear it would be constant. Gary was arrogant and argumentative I believe because I had taken the intuitive to research the problem and told he's as they had just charged my over $6000.00 for a transmission that Bradley's should resolve the issue. Gary said he would but he would charge me for it, I was taken aback by his arrogance and then he said "why don't you do it yourself" and "put that stuff in and let me know how you make out". Between my wife's car and my truck over a 2 months period we paid Bradley's over $10,000.00 in repairs, well because of Gary's ignorance, arrogance and narcissistic attitude they lost two good customers we will never go back there. warning even with the other good reviews do your investigation of your vehicle problem before giving Bradley's a chance to do your work. After confirming with both Ford and Jasper Transmissions I purchased the additive and installed it myself, problem fixed so Bradley's lost 2 customers for $14 and 10 minutes work seems a bit stupid to me and totally not in the interest of good customer relationship.

I was more than ready to buy a different rim, or a replacement donut, but he spent extra time just to save me money. Pretty much a perfect tire shop. Dropped off the car, got a couple of update texts with digital photos during the day. They diagnosed the problem as a brake fluid leak. I didn't like the look of some other parts in the photos, so asked them to do the extra work. Picked up the car the next day; brakes were just as soft as when I brought it in!! I called and brought the car right back. Didn't have a ride home, ‍ but they were nice enough to offer me a ride home. Pretty disappointed as a first time customer. They have *always* been fair and trustworthy. Before using Vanderveer, I had used various garages up and down Route 9. I'm sure that in those days I sometimes (often?) ended up paying for service that wasn't needed. But at Vanderveer Pete explains my options, and always tries to save me money. The expertise of Pete and his mechanics is unequaled. Here's one example, of many: Recently I had a check engine code on my 2002 Honda which said the problem was caused by a faulty distributor. But Pete described an experience he had many years ago where similar symptoms were caused by the alternator. He offered me the choice of replacing the distributor or the alternator. Having been impressed with Pete's expertise in the past, I went with his suggestion of replacing the alternator. That did the trick. The car ran great after that. The fact that the car had the original 18 yo alternator helped to make it a pretty easy choice - I had been thinking of replacing it just out of caution. But the fact remains that Pete was right in his diagnosis. You don't get that level of experience or expertise at just any garage.
