Arguably the best front-end/alignment experts in Tri-State area. I own a 2011 Mazda 6 equipped with very sensitive electronic assist steering. Great car but extremely difficult to align. Replaced tires at 46,000 miles and alignment done by other faciity resulted in loose and ponderous steering - car was wandering all over the road. Brought the car to a highly recommended front end shop for second alignment -- no good. Extremely befuddled, I asked different dealerships if they could recommend a reputable front-end shop that were experts in four wheel alignments ad steering angle re-set. I hit pay dirt. Made an appointment three weeks ago to have my front end alignment was told to bring my truck in at 8am. That I did. did not get a call that it would not be done went there at 4pm. they did not even do anything to it. lost a days pay. now I have to go somewhere else. because I can't keep missing days. or maybe they would call me. These people are thieves, I took my 2010 Accent over to this shop to be appraised for flood damage. They've had it for 5 days I have not heard anything back from them. My insurance company tells me they have been waiting on an email from this shop. I'm not sure how long it takes you to send a simple email but I sent about 12 on my way to work in the back of an uber. They say they will take care of you but they don't so they are liars as well. Don't use this shop unless you plan on taking ubers back and forth to work. Oh and their prices are outrageous. read more

Just too expensive. I used to go to Front End Shop often, to the point of being on a first name basis with Jay - but things have gotten too expensive, never going back. My last repair there included unnecessary work and I felt ripped off. Once before that I was charged $50 per wheel for mounting and balancing. I've found a better shop in Howell and will take all my work there instead. read more

This place is the worst mechanic I've ever come to. I brought my car here once for an annoying rattling sound under the chassis. They tried to extort me by charging me to look at the car and diagnosed a bunch of unrelated issues. I picked my car up and the sound continues. Out of frustration I looked under the car and lo and behold it was a single loose unnecessary bolt literally just rattling. I brought the car back and they took the bolt out begrudgingly. Another time I brought my car here for an electrical issue with the fuse box. The secretary was trying to explain the issue to me when Jay came in and told her to stop and that the information was private and that he "needed to prepare it in a presentable way to me" aka scam me. After leaving the shop my cars battery immediately died. I called Jay and he came to jump me explaining ohhh your battery must have had a bad cell. Coincidence? I will never return and I wanted to be sure everyone was aware this place is a racket. Jay is liar and they will try everything they can to rip you off. AVOID! read more

I normally avoid mechanics but this place is great! They have top of the line wheel alignment equipment and cover all other types of repairs. The man at the desk is always so friendly and really explains any work they did to your vehicle or any work it may need. Highly recommend this business. read more

I have been going to Front End Shop for years. They have done quality work on my Jeep Wrangler, Infiniti G35X, and Volkswagen Jetta. Work on the Wrangler has ranged from clutch replacement to exhaust manifolds and a variety of minor repairs. Most recently, they performed a series of repairs on a newly purchased 1967 Ford F100. Many of the parts were not stock and required a lot of research. The work included replacing the in-cabin gas tank with a new unit mounted under the bed, rebuilding the differential, replacing wheel bearings, replacing the power steering gear box, replacing the brake lines and master cylinder, completely rebuilding the heating system including a heater core and associated electrical switching which hadn't worked in years, and replacement of various worn seals. Unlike many shops, the mechanics at Front End Shop don't work on commission. So they only look to fix what is truly needed. The service manager Jay is as honest and knowledgable as they come. I live in Jackson and the drive to Farmingdale is well worth it because of the quality of work that I get and the reasonable costs. read more

Careless work done by this place a few months ago. They were going to install an incorrect part that I HAD TO SOURCE AND SUPPLY THEM. When I received my car IT WAS IN WORSE CONDITION THAN WHEN I HAD LEFT IT! My car was returned with scratches on the front bumper, in addition the front fascia has a new quarter size gall in my paint. The cruise control and HVAC systems no longer worked, and 4 new ECM check engine codes. The distributor plug was disconnected and stuffed behind the engine. Cruise control vac port was installed backwards, the disconnected Vac lines were laying next to it from the opposite side. HVAC system also had lines disconnected. Vac line diagram is on the fan shroud sticker, cell phones take great pictures these days.. A carburetor mounting bolt was also missing causing a new intake leak. Otherwise the rest of the work was ok. The tow was reasonable and the tow guy was nice and helped me move the car for that i give one star. read more

After living in NJ for 10 years I have finally found a place that I feel comfortable taking my vehicles for service. I recently purchased new tires from Tire Rack. After they were mounted, I took the truck to the GMC dealer to have the truck's tire sensor system adjusted to detect the new tires. After dropping off the vehicle, the dealer could not figure out how to get the vehicle's computer to recognize the new tires. They had no suggestions or ideas on what to do, they effectively gave up. Heard about Front End Shop through Tire Rack, so I took my truck there. They are welcoming and professional. The shop is very clean and the waiting room's TV and couch kept my little girls entertained while they tried to fix the problem. They were able to successfully fix the problem, trying different measures until they came up with a solution, something the dealer was unable to do. Their fees were very reasonable and the staff is knowledgable and friendly. If you're in the area and have to wait you can grab something to eat at Connie's, a great local eatery. Will definitely be recommending Front End Shop and visiting again for my servicing needs. read more
