About all that can be said about these guys has been said. The 5 stars are very well earned. Jesse, Aaron and Tom came out and helped us move. Like everyone else has stated, Steve is very business-like, and straight to the point. I really liked that about him. I scheduled my move with 916 almost a month out. I was extremely delighted when I received a phone call from Steve the day before to confirm, not only the day, but doubled checked to make sure where we were coming from, and where we were going to. Steve also gave an estimate on how long it was going to take to move us out of our 3 level 1700 sq. ft condo, and into out new place. He was dead on accurate! The hourly rate quoted was extremely reasonable, and they only charge a destination charge! No stair charge, not 'this-stuff-is-too-heavy-charge', nothing. You pay the hourly rate, plus a very reasonable destination charge. Onto Jesse Aaron and Tom. These guys were great. They busted ass from the time they arrived, until the last box was placed in our house. We bought them lunch, and we kept insisting they stop, and take a break, but nope, they wouldn't stop. On top of that, they were all extremely friendly, and very easy to get along with. They asked plenty questions, and were extremely careful with all of our property; not a single item was scuffed, broken, or scratched. I can't recommend these guys enough. Awesome job guys! I Called Steve and he fit me in on a Friday. I had a very weird move situation. We had just packed up the house into a PackRat storage unit in Florida and moved to El Dorado Hills. The Packrat was in WestSac and the unit was too big to get dropped off and then just me and my wife try to unpack it and move our stuff to a 2nd story apt. It needed to be unloaded into a truck and then moved to my new place. Steve called to confirm everything on Thursday. I met Matt and Jesse at the agreed time on site at PackRat. We went over the paperwork confirming everything Steve had relayed over the phone. I handed them the keys and drove away. By the end of the day it was all in my new place. I could not have done it without these guys. They are not the cheapest, but everything is packed and handled well, upfront, above board and communicated. That goes a long way with me. Thanks again. From the scheduling to the final piece of furniture carried into our new home, this company impressed me. A little late in writing a review but I am very pleased with the 916Movers. This was the first time I had movers help me. It was very short notice but they were able to find a spot to squeeze me in. No additional fees is a huge plus. They were on time...actually a little earlier and got to work right away. I flood occurred in my house just a few days before, so it was a huge mess. They worked around everything and were very efficient. Didn't try to cheat on hours and really made an effort to get it done within the 3 hours. Very trustworthy and it was nice being able to chat with the movers. They are very friendly and really made moving stress free. They placed every piece of furniture where I wanted it. Being a tiny girl it would have been a real chore. They were able to fit all my belongings on one truckload which would have taken me at least 3 trips if I did it on my own. I hired this company about 2 years ago to move from Rocklin to West Sac. Archie and another gentleman showed up on time, and moved everything carefully. They wrapped the beds in plastic so it stayed clean during the move, this was very important for me. Archie even helped me with a sliding door issue in the laundry area, so he went above and beyond. Archie and the other gentleman were polite and courteous. I have a family member moving next month and I am about to call Steve. Their pricing was fair and reasonable too. I called and made an appointment with someone who was in a hurry and didn't seem to want to answer any questions, and he really didn't take that much information from me about my move. He did make sure to inform me that I can only pay them in cash for the initial time frame that I booked and anything over that I can write a check or use credit. I didn't hear anything back from him to confirm my move or the details. I ended up speaking to another company with great customer service skills, and they took the time to explain everything to me, and they broke down their pricing and assured me there would be no hidden fees, and they emailed the information to me. Since my conversation with 916Movers was awkward, and I didn't hear from them with confirmation, I felt uncomfortable with them. I had to cancel and go with the other company. read more
