I've never been here before but heard of this place being a famous Miami staple located right off of perimeter road and 57th ave offering nice views of the international airport's very busy airstrip. My first visit was for use of their ballroom space that includes access to their lunch buffet. First thought: this is a nice place. If offers a unique charm and has a lot of history. But, it's very dated. They really need to renovate and update their look. If this isn't in their immediate plan it should be taken into consideration. The buffet is what you expect from buffet. There's a large selection for a vegetarian with an arrangement of veggies, green salads, beans, pasta salads, fruit and desserts. I can't give a review for any meats but heard from fellow co workers that it's decent. I was not happy with the only fish dish they provided. I believe it to be tilapia cooked in a red sauce but the fish was overcooked, bland and almost rubbery in texture. The staff is friendly and accommodating to my needs in the presentation room. They provide a projector, laptop as well as a mic system. A big plus if you ever forgot the essentials before a meeting. The prices for their room space that includes buffet makes it very affordable. I'm sure that will change if they do decide to upgrade. Until then the charm will remain standard. I would give a half star more for their service on the business end. First and foremost wow....This was my first actual friends experience at a restaurant and I can say I am very speechless delicious egg Benedict and delicious waffles. I'm sure for the price there is no better brunch in Miami that offers unlimited mimosas. They have a large variety of desserts they have ceviche, shrimp, crab legs the questions is what don't they have. Service is great. if you don't know the history ask one of the waiters to tell you it's a pretty crazy as well as a funny one. I'll be back soon! read more

We came with a group of people for a late dinner. We ordered a bunch of appetizers; one of them being the escargot in mushroom caps and the fried calamari. The escargot was very good, and the calamari was fresh. For my main dish, I got the shrimp diablo. It was good, but the serving was large for one person. Our waitress was pleasant and thorough with us, and there was live karaoke in the other room. It wasn't overpowering where you had to yell to hear your friends speak. The space allows you to watch planes depart and land, but where we were seated, we didn't really notice it until we left to get our cars in the lot. Ok! Where do I start? As soon as you walk in the restaurant it smells rancid. As much as I would love to like it, it doesn't cut the mustard. I understand improvements have been done, this place has a lot of potential. The food is mediocre, so is the ambiance, not to mention the music. This restaurant will never bring a younger crowd with the music they play. It's sad to see all the potential that this place have going to a total waste! on the other hand service was on point! I came with my family to try to eat something after my sons socxer game and obviously we were not in fancy clothes. The chic who was at the hostess stand looked at us differently since we didnt have sparkly outfits. She asked if we had a reservation and we did not so she told us that it would probably be about 10-15 minutes and we said it was ok. Then after she took my name down she told us she would try but that they were fully booked today. So my thinking was are you going to give us a table or not??? I then asked to speak to a manager and the manager was just as bad as she was. He defended her all the way and said he was sure she did not discriminate us bevsue of how we were dressed. Then he asked, "Are you going to want the table or not?" I've never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant as I did today. I will never come here ever and my money is good anywhere!! read more

Hand brunch here on a Wednesday. Evnviroment is very very nice, right by airport runway. Food is good, a lot fo veriaty. And has nice desert too. The reason I give a 3 starts is because the price it too much for the brunch. With 16 dollars brunch buffet, their food is not anything special (chicken, talapia fish, pork, rice and pasta) I would expect something more, like lobster bisque, mahi mahi, salom, lamp chop etc. Because a lunch normally shouldn't cost more than 10, and with buffet, 12 the most. So if it's just a one time thing, I would recomend it. read more

Came here for my graduation dinner and I must say I was impressed. The beer soup was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly. This first visit made we want to come back again... and so I did go back. The second visit was not as good as the first one. It was a bit earlier during the day. This time I went for my mother in laws birthday. The food was not that good this time around steak was dry, drinks a bit soft and I got to notice the interior of the restaurant more, which is in need of a big restoration. The outside is very nostalgic, but they need to fix up the inside a bit. For my 3rd visit I want to go try their Sunday brunch, which I have been told is very good. read more

The escargot did not taste fresh. I had better on the cruise line. All the food lacked seasoning. Just a little salt would have done wonders. I'm not one to normally salt my food but it was a MUST for this food. My wife had the pork chop and it was just okay! The dining room needs some serious updating. This place has been around for as long as I can remember. Haven't been back since joining Yelp and had the pleasure of stopping in recently for an office lunch. Their lunch buffet is pretty amazing considering the variety of food for the price. Most places will set you back $10 these days at least if you want anything worth while. The buffet here is about $16 and you wont be disappointed. Complete salad bar with soup of the day, carving station and a ton of other options. It also includes dessert and coffee which is a beautiful thing. All of the staff was helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend for the lunch crowd, either with a couple people or large group. read more

There was a lot of variety but lacked taste. The dessert area was all frozen stuff, nothing was freshly made. I was not sold on the food. I probably will not give it another try. Magnificent Brunch was quite surprised, what a spread! The omelette station was loaded with all fresh ingredients meats and seafood, just fabulous. Hot food was good, dessert and pastries where outta control. All I have to say is bring your appetite oh and did I tell you about the unlimited mimosas? We had an event there yesterday(THURSDAY), and in the end of the night we asked for a to go box to grab a little bit of the cheese and fruits and the servers told us that they couldn't do it because that cheese and fruits would be used ON SUNDAY BRUNCH. This need to be reported, seriously. In 13 years working with Catering, I never heard something like that. We will never more go back. Who knows if the food we are eating is fresh or from days ago. Ate dinner here with three business associates. Very interesting place and was recommended by the concierge at the Miami Airport Hilton. If I had read most of the reviews here I wouldn't have recommended this place to my friends. I am glad I didn't read the reviews. Three of us at exactly the same appetizer and entree. Appetizer was tomato slices, fresh basil, and provolone drizzled with olive oil. Very fresh and quite good. The entree was a piece of Argentinean beef cooked medium rare and delicious. You can't go to Florida without eating Key Lime Pie. Mine was fantastic. I found the service excellent and I believe the other three in my party all enjoyed their meal and had a good time watching 747s taking off right outside the window. read more

We went here because we had a discount from restaurants.com for $25 off. Food was rather expensive. I had the Seafood Collage, which was deliciously prepared. My girlfriend had the Shrimp scampi which she did not complain about. The portions were large enough to fulfill, and with the bread they serve while you wait it was all very filling. The mojito was in a small glass and not stirred properly, easy fix, her sangria was on point. Food arrived quickly and service was adequate. Bathrooms were clean enough. Loved the outside seating just outside the lounge where we continued to chat while watching airplanes take off and land, all while smoking cigars and having drinks. This place was close to the Hilton and we went there for dinner. I had the Pre-Fix special which seemed like a good deal (for this place's prices) and the 4 course meal I opted for was App- Shrimp Cocktail, Entree-Prime Rib, and Desert-key lime pie. The shrimp was firm and fresh tasting, the prime rib was perfectly cooked and I liked the horseradish side dipping sauce as an alternative to the au jus (which was good too). $40 not cheap but not too bad for a solid meal. I ate at the bar and the bartender was both good and friendly and he was very helpful. He was a nice guy from Cuba and I enjoyed talking to him. Overall I thought the restaurant was a bit dark and a bit dated, which I am not a huge fan of, but it was nice enough and if you like you can watch the planes take off, and even have a cigar outside if interested. If you like the ww2 warplanes / air squadron motif as I do you might like this also. Loved the repeating spool of the movie"Memphis Bell" which was co and gets you into the sort of vibe they are probably going for. I stopped by here for lunch on the way from the airport. I was pleased with the experience. The buffett is the best value for money, and all the meat seems to be of good quality. THey offer fish, beef, and chicken on their buffett. All tasted fresh and were not over cooked or overly salty. Im not a local, but I would come again if im in the area. read more

I have been there a couple of times with the family, most recently for Father's Day. Despite having reservations, we were seated in a large room without a view of the airport, which totally made for a 1 star experience. We were staying at the Hilton nearby without a car and quickly learned that there were not many food options within walking distance. The hotel had a free shuttle, so we decided to try it. We were so glad we did! They had a great deal for $23 that was a choice of salad, soup and entree and a dessert. We thought that might be too much food, so we decided to just go with the regular entrees. One of us got salmon and the other had mahi mahi. Both were perfect. They came with garlic mashed potatoes and a medley of sautéed veggies. All were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The bread that came with the meal was crunchy and chewy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside...also perfect! Not sure what happened with the bad reviews, because we found nothing to complain about. read more

94th Aero Squadron - Miami is right next to the Miami International Airport, and a hidden gem for the greater Miami area. The service, food, and atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. My party of six had such a great time for their brunch. It is now a favorite spot for us all. There is a great selection of breakfast foods and brunch items. They even had leg of lamb on the brunch side of the buffet. Our server, Roberto, kept our waters and mimosas both full at all times, and the dishes were always bused promptly after they were finished. 94th Aero Squadron - Miami is one of the rare places that still have unlimited mimosas and has extremely reasonable pricing. For all that we got I would normally expect to pay a minimum of $50.00 per person, but at 94th Aero Squadron - Miami everything was only $31.95! That is a steal! Since 94th Aero Squadron - Miami is right next to the airport then you get to see the airplanes take off and land. It was fun to see. The kids that were around us in the other parties were excited to see the airplanes. The atmosphere and war memorabilia was fun and neat to see.
