Update: Since contacting the store for feedback, the manager went out of his way to fix the situation by coming around my house to pick up the bike to take back to the store and fixing the remaining issues on the bike foc. He then brought it back to my house the next morning, all before business hours. I have to give credit to this effort and have since added 2 more stars to the original review. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I left my bike at the shop for servicing and I was advised that I will be contacted once the mechanic discussed what work was recommended. I was not contacted for over 2 weeks, during which I contacted the shop 3 times and was told each time that I will be contacted back by the mechanic who knew what was happening with the bike. When I was finally contacted 2 weeks later, I was told that work was completed and I was hit with a bill for over $1000. The shop had organised for both of my shocks to be serviced without me agreeing to the work. When I picked up the bike, I advised how disappointed I was and the staff apologetically advised that I will be contacted the next day to discuss what can be done about this. It has been over a week since then and I have not been contacted. I am extremely disappointed and I've lost confidence in 99 Bikes. read more

I purchased via Click and Collect and the sales girl was really helpful, I had a little issue in the product and I went to replace and got the same smiling faces taking care of the issue personally and resolved there and then. Thanks 99 Bike Lidcombe Team. read more

I left my old bike for repair and the mechanic called back to provide a quote. I specifically ask for the labor cost, was told $119 but ended up to $250. It is a simple bike. If you are repairing your bike from this shop, please ask exactly how much is the labor cost before giving your bike. I felt rip-offed. read more

Thanks for showing what are the best fits for the new 3 bikes that we bought. Especially to Sean. You all know the bikes you sell and know what goes well with them. Thanks for the flexibility for purchase transfer from your store to the West Ryde store - the three Merida Crossway stands. The two Merida 100 and 30 bikes we bought were fabulous and well fitted for us. Thank you for spending your time with us; even though it was near the end of the day - we were not rushed off aside. History

Established in 2007.

We opened the doors of our first shop in May 2007. The shop in Milton, Brisbane was started by Matt Turner and was a small 170m2 - only fitting 99 bikes into the building. A team of four kept the shop open seven days a week, twelve hours a day with one tiny room tripling as a workshop, office and stock room. The integral team grew to 8 as our Milton shop flourished and our second shop was opened in Underwood. Most of the original team are still with us today. Matt continued to use the advice of his father, Graham 'Skroo' Turner to evolve systems and processes in alignment with Flight Centre - a business model which has demonstrated success since 1981.

And I work out a lot, so for $200 it is not so bad, if you do get a lot of wear out of them. I bought a pair of Mizuno I really liked the arch support and they have moulded to my feel. A really good pair of shoes and I know they will last me for awhile. I placed them on layby and didn't pick them up till about 2 mths after and they were fine with that. I didn't get any nasty notices or phone calls so that was great.

The team at 99Bikes Lidcombe were super helpful, accommodating and showed a willingness to learn when I brought in my trike for service. Even though they didn't have much to do with trikes, they were still willing to service it for me and learn from the experience rather than shut me down like a different store had. They were also able to accommodate me that same day with my bicycle and dog trailer given transporting both to the store is so difficult and time consuming. Cheers team.. keep it up. read more

I bought two bikes (Cube) from 99 Bikes, Lidcombe. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The support and follow through is excellent. There is a constant communication and follow through which makes it great, unseen in many other stores. I would like to personally commend Francesco for an excellent job. I've got no idea about bikes but every time I've been to the 99bikes store in Lidcombe they've been super helpful. They let me ride the bike around to test it. They adjusted it for me. They helped me choose the right bike rack, helped fit it to my car. I had to pump my tyres up 6 months later and they helped me choose the right pump and showed me how to do it. Great service and staff are knowledgeable. Added value in membership is a bonus too. We were looking for seats and the guy took us through the options to get the most out of bikes, including seats and rider positions.
