So if you have never been to a 99cents store you MUST go!! It's the next best thing next to dollar tree! This location was actually very organized and fully stocked on everything! They carry everything from groceries to household items to party items and much more! You definitely want to start on the first grocery aisle and walk through them ALL!! Swear you will walk our with over 20 items. Now some items are not .99 cents so just watch out for those but everything is under $5!! Seriously one of the greatest stores ever so if you have never been I definitely recommend stopping by! This was my first time to this location and I was very impressed! read more

The customer service here sucks. Every single isle I went down was atrocious. There were a lot of empty shelves that need to be filled. The lines were completely full and there was only two cash registers open at that time. The wait was longer than I had expected for wanting to just go in and out of the store. I like how the $.99 store has a lot more to offer as far as how many items are being sold but as far as quality I would rather shop at the dollar tree store for items that I can get such as dishwashing soap, sponges etc. read more

I have gone back and forth on posting this review seeing as how we all have bad days, but this location is the worst by far and mentally can't get past their restrooms. Clutter every corner I looked and seriously rude checkouts! Customer service is everything to me, sorry 99 never again! read more

I'd give it a negative 5 first time in the store, was in the store for 5 minutes and seen 5 roaches.... In produce, in the aisle and on the cashier register who was checking us out.... If the roaches are that bold in the day I can only imagine how they are when the stores closed..... need to be closed down immediately. read more

Oh my: I DO love finding a bargain! While technically a dollar store (sorry, Folks, but 99.99 cents is a buck - NOT 99 cents) - and while a few things are priced lower or higher than 99.99 cents - I still think this chain leads the pack in assortment, value and potential quality. Of course, you have to know what you're buying: some things are priced higher than in other stores, and some of the quality is dubious. But for the most part, I'm really impressed. Real bargains I've encountered over the past six months include: bundles of fresh asparagus, fresh raspberries, small seedless watermelons; famous-maker cheeses (in quantities of 8 oz. or more), packages of good quality smoked turkey and ham; loaves of whole wheat bread; brown eggs; live potted plants; a hot-pink "pocket" t-shirt; 4-oz packages of frozen seafood (scallops, flounder, pollock, monkfish); premium chocolate bars; canned sour cherries; cottage cheese; cereal; fancy yogurt. Two notable "misses" include a bottle of soy sauce and a package of Central American coffee - both so dreadful I had to toss them! And I've not had such good luck with their russets, either - they seem to be in their last throes by the time they make it to the produce aisle. And a few other caveats....first, you won't be able to expect to shop here for a pre-established menu: just because they've had Romaine hearts every time you've been there, don't expect it will always be so. Second, get there early: quantities of the best values are limited, and the first shoppers will always reap the greatest rewards. Third, carefully inspect fresh produce - and check the expiration dates on, especially, the processed meats and dairy items (I've never found any which were expired, just ones that were CLOSE to the expiration date). Otherwise, just go wild - secure in the knowledge that you're going to get out of the store for a fraction of what you'd pay anywhere else! read more

You will always find a bargain when shopping at the 99! I have saved so much money buying food for my kiddos lunches here. The same items I purchase at H-E-B I purchase for a fraction of the price. Every time I go in they have something different. It is a hit or miss but when it's a hit, it's definitely worth the stop! I'll come here when I'll want to leave w/ a bag full of stuff while not wanting to have spent much! I've found a few things that have quite surprised me! Recently I found a really cool vintage looking necklace, although it was priced a bit above a dollar. They sell gallons of milk here for $2.40. 99 Cents Only is great place for seasonal items just like Dollar General and Dollar Tree however, it has a totally different selection so it's great to come and browse because you're liable to find something totally unique. This store on Walzem, for instance, is pretty large and if you dig in through the aisles you'll find some weird cool gems. Recently, I found a whole set of Spice Girls actions figures ignored in the babies section and Marilyn Monroe flip flops. The check out lines are a usually a pain though, so don't go if you're in a hurry to get in and out. I've sometimes been in line with one item and been behind people with twenty or thirty items... No such things as express lanes... This store takes cash, debit, credit and LoneStar cards. read more

It's a fairly large store, as usual with 99 cent only there are cluttered isles and countless (and useless) nicknacks out and about, but hey, I'm not going to lie...I buy those nicknacks! It's pretty crowded, and as a result I'm just going to stick to my neighborhood Dollar Store to avoid lines and the temptation of buying stuff I don't need (ie I bought a Popsicle maker). read more

Store was pretty big, great for daily use household needs. Great value for little things. Was quite disappointed when not everything was 99 cents. But what was 99 went pretty well for me. Different choices than dollar tree which I absolutely loved. Found a few different things that i had not seen at dollar tree then again i'd rather save me a penny than to spend a penny. read more

Just walked out of this store. We were walking thru the produce section looking at a few things and had picked out some items. After looking at the vegetables and noticing a handful of roaches running around we put every back. I asked elderly woman at the the cash register if they knew about it. she stated "oh, they will be here to morrow to take care of it" OK! that's tomorrow what about today. What about yesterday? How long have you known about it and still allow ppl to buy from you knowing that they are dragging bad food to their home and worse all the bugs with them. Do you know how hard and costly that can be to get rid of once they start populating in your house? Very disappointed and quite frankly disgusted! We will not be shopping here again this store cannot be trusted at all after what I just witnessed. This is not how a store should treat it's customers at all should they like to keep them. read more

Never have considered my self a smart shopper, but this place is a bargain for simple things needed on a daily basis! The new owners (management) have done a superb job of reworking this store to be a great stop on anyone's quick pick ups list. Looking for quick bargain then stop here first to see if it's in stock you will be surprised and what you find! Only thing needed is more checkers during the busy times! read more

I just rediscovered this place! I forget the silly little things I spend several dollars on at Target I could just pick up here for .99! Not only that but they actually had some really cute Easter decorations! I think you kind of just have to use your best judgment on what is a good idea to buy here and what you might want to shell out a few extra bucks for over at another store. Over all though I love the concept... but one thing I found annoying is that everything was not .99! It had been years since I went there and back in the day everything was .99.... they even use to brag that they were the only real .99 store.... something changed along the way, and not for the better in my opinion. I did mention that to the cashier though and she told me it had just been bought by new owners and they are working to bring it back to their roots of everything truly being .99! I like the sound of that! read more
