Used to be a loyal member here -- over a year strong. The energy was great, the coaches (shoutout…read moreto Janise and Dan!) actually coached, and I left class sweaty, sore, and satisfied. So I decided to come back. Get my mind right. Get my body right. Step back into that early morning glory. And... immediately regretted it. Let me set the scene: One coach. No mic. No form correction. No encouragement. No presence. She introduced the stations, then went off-grid like she had somewhere else to be. I watched people literally coaching each other mid-workout -- not for fun, but out of confusion and concern. Someone almost got hit by a weight. I wish I were exaggerating. It was giving: "You got it, girl!" but in the way people say it when you don't got it and they're just hoping for the best. This is not the F45 experience I knew -- and not the one that keeps people paying boutique prices. This was a self-guided tour through chaos, with vibes but no supervision. Like an escape room... with dumbbells. What happened to the two-coach model? The accountability? The energy? This isn't just about convenience -- it's about safety, quality, and the entire point of going to a class instead of winging it in your living room. No shade to the coach -- this feels like a systems issue. And judging from the whispers during class and in the parking lot after -- I'm not the only one noticing. If things ever shift back to real coaching, energy, and safety, I'd love to return. But right now, it's not giving what it used to give -- and I hope whoever's running things sees that before more members walk away

I'm one of the few people in Missouri privileged with the opportunity to try the elite ARX machine…read moreat Biofit, and it left me truly amazed that I have had the honor of experiencing something that's going to change history and how people experience finding and building their own strength. This is a long review but every bit of it is necessary because this needs to be known, shared, and experienced!!! This exercise equipment has created a new neural pathway for me and how I now view exercise, my time spent at the gym and my ability to reach peak levels endurance. As a fitness enthusiast who's tried everything from P90X to Peloton, nothing compares to this experience. I love lifting free weights and unlike most people I don't count my reps per se I count my length of time doing each rep, which is the TUT method (time under tension). Most workout fanatics may use this method because it's so beneficial. Time under tension is the duration a muscle is under strain during exercise. It focuses on the time spent in each movement to enhance muscle growth and endurance. For me, this is the best and fastest way to tone up, get great blood flow to muscles (pump), and see results. What I now know is ARX eclipses the TUT method and any other machine out there. Now the tut method is great but even though you're holding that tension there's nothing but gravity working against you and your own strength which is great but be honest how hard to you really push yourself at the gym? With this state-of-the-art equipment, the machine is working against you via resistance BUT is also working for you. It's as if it's working every muscle everywhere all at once!! It somehow knows what limit to push your body to so you get the perfect amount of resistance, which in turn gives you the metrics of your own strength. Something lifting has never gauged for me better yet has never resisted against me to enhance my strength. ARX is so mind-boggling that talking about it doesn't do it justice--you must experience it in person! No matter what your strength level is, this machine will match you and make you work smarter, not harder, plus you can get a full-body workout in 10-15 minutes. My first time was less than 5 minutes on one machine and it was a leg press. I was in my casual everyday clothes. I wasn't wearing tennis shoes I was wearing heels jeans and a leather jacket! Why? I went in for a quick demo thinking it would be demonstrated for me by the owner. Nope watching would not have done me any good because you don't know the might of this machine until you experience it. So it bears repeating I was in high heels, and I was still able to accomplish a magnificent burn, experience a life transforming piece of equipment and more importantly I didn't have to take my shoes off and I didn't break a heel! Now, my second time was less than 10 minutes and was a full-body workout. This time I had on gym attire and tennis shoes were a must because after the experience the week before I wanted to see what I could really accomplish without worrying about snapping a heel off. At the end of my short session, I felt as if I had been working out for 45 minutes. I only used three machines and didn't lift a single weight!! My muscles were so taxed I couldn't complete my usual HIIT routine on the self powered treadmill, and in all honesty, that routine may become a thing of the past, along with my typical gym membership. These slick pieces of machinery will end up making typical gym equipment obsolete simply due to the science and metrics behind it. Plus, it's designed to give you one of the most efficient methods of working out, which is time under tension. The ARX is literally based on Time Under Tension (TUT) plus it tracks your strength metrics, tailors resistance to your personal limits, takes less than 10 minutes, and you can get results by using it once or twice a week!! I value my time very much, and being able to cut down my commute to and from the gym, the time in between sets, and the time to perform my workout is a win-win for me. It was an unparalleled workout experience. It's hands down the most amazing workout I've ever had! Talking about this is not the same as experiencing it. You MUST experience it then see how you feel the day after. I promise you'll want to go back and try beating your own scores again!

Reasons why I love the workout: 1. Treadmills / running are incorporated! I love to run but I hate when I have to chose either weights or running. I love Shred because it keeps both! 2. Minimal thought/ experience required. You don't have to wait for equipment or think about what your next set is going to consist of because they tell you what to do the entire time! Also, if you don't know how to do something- it doesn't matter- because your instructor shows you each move before they expect you to do it. Reason why I love this location specifically: The Instructors & Staff are just the best! I truly feel like I have made some great friends here and that all of the people in this location genuinely care about you. It's so nice that I can pick my classes to go with my favorite instructors or I can take one with someone that's not in my regular "schedule" and I still get the same amazing workout and attention. However, my body was not prepared for the intensity of the workouts. The treadmill running was particularly tough on an old foot injury. The instructors absolutely offered modifications to ease my foot woes, but my competitive nature didn't want to participate if I couldn't go all out. Fast forward 2 years later, I'm in much better shape physically and I decided to give it another go. The biggest challenge for me this time wasn't the workout itself, but rather to acknowledge my own limitations, resist my competitive nature, & heed alternatives to running - like walking on an incline OR using the strider. I enjoyed Orangetheory so much more this go-around, it's truly a great full body workout. I personally love the built-in variety, since you will always rotate between rowing, strength and treadmill work. If your goal is to maximize your one-hour at the gym, enjoy a mix of cardio & strength training, and burn a ton of calories, Orangetheory will deliver results. True definition of hurts SO good!…read more I've always been an avid fan of this sport but never imagined taking any classes. I was introduced to this place from a friend two years ago and have been coming ever since. When I first came, I was able to use a 7-day pass and take a few classes. I was nervous because I hate not being good at anything (especially when it comes to sports) but also because I didn't know what to expect. The first class I ever took was Mimi's class at 10am. I was able to meet with her before class to go over the basics. It made me feel comfortable, especially since I didn't know what I was doing! For that class, It's an hourlong and consists of a warm up, 8-rounds three minutes each of boxing combos, and then 14 minutes of abs and core. While she has since left, Dominic has taken over and I believe still keeps the same format. Over the last two years, I've tried out several classes and instructors, but have grown to love the 45 min class on Saturday's taught by Drea. She's engaging with the class, thorough with her instructions, has challenging workouts and the BEST music! She wasn't here yesterday and the class was taught by Jaffet instead. One thing I appreciate about this place, aside from the bomb music they play, is the consistency. No matter who's teaching, I'll always get in a good workout, learn new combos/ moves I'm unfamiliar with and leave feeling like I just conquered the world! Yesterday was no different and I was really happy with the class overall. If you're looking for a change in your workouts, a rush of endorphins, and feeling accomplished, look no further than SLBC! They have classes every day of the week and have something for everyone no matter what skill level. If you're not quite ready to commit to a membership, you can always pay per class as well!
