Shred415 is by far the most fun workout class I have ever taken! My fiancé and I signed up last year in October and we have been coming about 4/5 times a week ever since. Reasons why I love the workout: 1. Treadmills / running are incorporated! I love to run but I hate when I have to chose either weights or running. I love Shred because it keeps both! 2. Minimal thought/ experience required. You don't have to wait for equipment or think about what your next set is going to consist of because they tell you what to do the entire time! Also, if you don't know how to do something- it doesn't matter- because your instructor shows you each move before they expect you to do it. Reason why I love this location specifically: The Instructors & Staff are just the best! I truly feel like I have made some great friends here and that all of the people in this location genuinely care about you. It's so nice that I can pick my classes to go with my favorite instructors or I can take one with someone that's not in my regular "schedule" and I still get the same amazing workout and attention. If you want a butt kicking workout, this is the place. I started coming here last year with ClassPass and now its one of my absolute favorites. The music is always great and upbeat and I love the mix of weights and running or walking. The treads that are at Shred 415 are unparalleled. I don't know what kind of magic is in these babies, but I find them easier to run on and that my knees are generally less cranky after running on them as compared to other runs, and they arent as long as a regular treadmill. One thing that I don't LOVE is that the trainers are sometimes difficult to hear over how loud the music is and how much they are saying - both instructing the floor exercisers and the treadmills. They also don't really adjust your form. I have only had one person there adjust my form and I think it was only because it was a small turnout in that class. They cue many exercise changes and show it for a couple seconds but correcting form is a big part of why I workout at a gym so I would appreciate it if they would do this more often and maybe just cue for slightly less changes in floor exercises. One other thing that drives me nuts is that the "benches" that you use in the floor section of the workout are really short and lightweight. As a 6ft tall woman, I don't feel secure on them at all because they aren't long enough for me to fit head to tail on. I know they are standardized and optimized to fit as many people in the class as possible but I think they could improve on this design, personally. The bathroom is really well stocked with items you might need post shower and 2 showers. There are blow dryers, q-tips, dry shampoo, etc. and plenty of towels available. Overall as a person who works out pretty regularly and has had trainers in the past I love this workout once or twice a week but they definitely could improve things for beginners. read more

Love this place! Definitely take a class with Kate. Pros: effective workout. Great music. Group workout to help you push further. As a 5'5 woman, I burn about 5-600 calories each session. Not bad! Cons: The instructors will NEVER fix your form so if you don't know how to perform certain moves, you have to be very careful. I've seen some people clearly doing the moves incorrectly (in some way dangerous!) and the instructor won't correct them. This is true from all the classes I've been to. I don't recommend taking a class with Natalie. She made the class 5 mins segments instead of 4 x 15. 5 min segments mean we are constantly switching and wiping down the equipments. It's like she forgot Covid exist and we should limit switching so often (and we kept touching cleaning chemicals..) Overall I'll definitely be back. I'll just pick certain instructors :) read more

Kate & Rebecca MAKE MY WEEK. I will actually be disappointed when people start planning day drinking activities on Saturdays again because the 0945 Saturday class is what I live for. Should I start with the playlists? A little bit 80s, a little bit pop, and a little bit Pursuit of Happiness Kid Cudi- it's saying something that I am completely gassed at the end of class and still want to sing along. Kate and Rebecca both have a way of encouraging the crap out of you and also being the tough ass instructor you need and love. They tend to end the class on an inspirational note/ which no lie, brings me to tears sometimes, and then remind you to also go indulge on your Bloody Mary (thank god). I love this place. I missed it during Quarantine. I'm so glad to be back and happy that they have amped up the cleaning and spacing. Can't wait til we can a class packed full of people again! read more

I went to the Total Body class, 70 minutes instead of 60 for Alzheimer's awareness day yesterday. My instructor was Amy. The classes are of a similar type to Orange Fitness and Fitness Formula, where classes involve multiple strength and cardio circuits, revolving around alternating heart rate to optimize results. This class is intense! We did everything from crawl outs on the treadmill, inclines of more than10%, and the class ran at least 3 miles. When I say, the class did, I had to do mods, because after about 1 mile of running, I can feel my weak ankles screaming out. The strength stations consist of 4 sets of weights, 8,10,12 and 15, a teeny tiny mat and a step maybe a foot high. Each class consists of 2 sets of concurrent classes, one set of people who start on the treadmill station and another who start on the stepper stations, each of those 2 groups end up getting the same workout switching between the 2 stations. Class is a little chaotic, because instructor is addressing 2 sets of instructions, 1 for the treads and 1 for the strength people. I'd been to Fitness Formula, so I was introduced to the concept, otherwise I'd probably have been a little disoriented. After about 40 minutes, I could not run a single bit more. I'd say these classes would be better for people without injuries that prevent running, or an inability to run more than 1 mile. I just did incline work when they increased the pace to running. The instructor was great, and gave all the newbies a great intro, and told us to keep an ear out for which set of people her instructions were for. Also, the music is great, it's actually kind of loud, like exercising in a club, but honestly, that was one of things that made it nice. The facilities are clean, and it's also nice that the front desk person has to buzz you in, there are free towels and free parking. Cons: I wish there was a place to stretch though, and I wish we spent more than 5 minutes on a stretch at the end. read more

BEST WORKOUT CLASS EVER!! I think I have found the class that I have been looking for. As someone who usually runs on treadmills at the gym and then does a strength training exercise shortly after, I feel very comfortable with Shred's type of workout. The instructors are simultaneously coaching the half of the class that is on the treadmills while giving direction to the other half that is on the floor. They are very good about not overdoing a movement, and they give reasonable active recovery time. I started taking this class during COVID-19, so I am not sure how it was set up before, but the measures they have taken have been very beneficial. You have to wear a mask the entirety of class, but it is still manageable to breathe and get through it. Other than the class itself, the front desk workers are extremely understanding and helpful--no one is too pushy (in regards to membership). I look forward to Shred every day and I can't recommend it enough! read more

Where to begin! I went to my first Shred class a little over a year ago. No running experience and no group class experience, but I would consider myself well versed in weight lifting. They made me feel right at home and so comfortable. I had to take a slight hiatus while some nasty shin splints healed up but I'm back and about to hit my 50th class. I highly highly recommend Shred 415 to anyone... no matter your fitness level. The instructors are amazing and really hype you up. They give you modifications if something is too challenging but really just encourage you to keep moving! Again I consider myself a fit person, but these classes really pushed me into that next realm. I finally feel heart and lung healthy. The classes are definitely challenging, but as one of my favorite instructors (Nikki) says "You can do hard things!". 15/10 check out Shred 415!! read more

If you're like me and love to burn it downnnnn when you workout then this is the right place. The instructors are all amazing and very well trained. The workout provides awesome dumbbell strength and accessory moves and those intervals on the treadmills are killer! It kind of feels like you're inside a dance party while you're working out because of the music. I've done a lot of fitness classes and this is my favorite. There is another popular and similar class-style workout company that goes by your heart rate, which I also like, but I like Shred415 more because there's less in-between time during transitions from Treads to the Floor (and there aren't rowers, which decreases transitions even more). I get more out of this workout than any of the HIIT classes I've tried--and I've done a lot. The Woodway treadmills are D O P E (yes, I didn't realize this before but brands of treadmills apparently matter so much!!). You can go as hard or as easy as you want, everything is able to be modified. So if you're a walker, you can do that, if you have an injury, that's not a problem, if you're pregnant or just tired and trying to move that day that's fine too. The trainers are all great and able to help you scale as needed. Speaking of trainers, I highly recommend AnnMarie Lindsley, Katie Schreiber, and Kate Payne's classes. Bomb. read more

I signed up for the Unlimited Monthly membership and attended classes 4-5 times a week. I really enjoyed the classes I took which included Total Body, Arms and Abs, and Butts and Legs. I am not a runner by any stretch of the imagination, but I felt that Shred415 provided a welcoming atmosphere that allowed you to push yourself with the encouragement of the trainer. I ended up enjoying the running segments the most, because that it where I saw the most improvement in my abilities I am taking a star off because the weight training/lifting became monotonous (as did the music!). I felt in every class I could expect squats, burpies, bicycle crunches, reverse lunges, triceps kick backs, etc. In my opinion, Amy provided the most variety, especially her Butts and Legs classes! I also thought Katie did a fantastic job striking the balance between encouraging and pushing you to your limits. I am also taking a star off because of price. I wish it was slightly more affordable for me to continue my membership. Overall, I recommend Shred415! I left every class dripping in sweat and feeling as though I had a great 60 minute workout! read more

Let's start with all the things I love about Shred 415: GREAT workout. I always come out soaked. If you like HIIT then you'll love Shred. The MUSIC is always on point. Each trainer varies the tunes a bit but it's never, ever country, anything folky, or overly alternative. The workout is very FAST PACED. So if you're a first timer, you may get slightly lost, but just look at the person next to you ;) chances are they've been before and you can reference them during the class. The format of the class is half on the treads and half on the floor. You'll switch places sometimes every 15 minutes ( hence their name -- 4, 15 min segments ) or you'll switch at other intervals of time. Everyday is a different muscle group ( arms and abs, butt and abs or total body). On the treads, there is always inclines, high speeds and walking recoveries incorporated in the interval workout. On the floor, it's mostly LIGHT weights, high reps and it's based on time, not how many reps you do. You never spend more than 90 seconds per exercise. The instructor will signal when you're switching the workout. I never really felt muscle fatigue during the floor workouts. Know that you do not escape the CARDIO while you're on the floor, the coach incorporates burpees, high knees, squat jumps, etc while you're on the floor. The class goes by pretty quickly. I love that Shred offers you fresh towels. Makes all the difference. You will need them, trust me. I also like how dark they keep the room during class. Helps me stay in the zone. Special shout out to the trainer, Miguel. I burn the most calories in his class. He is like a drill sergeant and I love it. Also the front desk is always so nice , helpful, and greets you by name. Now some of the things I don't love so much: The pricing is pretty steep here. But on the bright side, Shred 415 runs promotions throughout the year. Just download their app and go to "Buy" and you'll see the different options. Also they usually run a Groupon with a great deal for your first few classes. That's how I initially got hooked. Not often enough but sometimes, the instructors will incorporate Pilates weighted balls, resistance bands or bosus. I wish they would do that more often to change up the workout. Workout wise, I feel you would have to supplement Shred with more resistance training and heavier weights on your off days. These classes are very cardio heavy. You need to CANCEL 12 hours in advance ( a pretty long notice IMO) or else they may charge you a $12 late cancel or no show fee. WHEW that was a long review. read more

I really like shred415, my torn hip labrum is the only thing that is keeping me from going to classes at the moment. Most of the instructors are really great and motivating, however, if you're not a frequent regular you can totally feel it in the interaction. Other than that, it is an amazing workout and the front desk staff and managers are always very helpful and nice. They also frequently have challenges that I find to be very motivating and gets me there more often. I will definitely be returning post surgery. read more

A great HIIT class with fun music and constant instruction so it's hard to get bored. It varies with intervals on the treadmill and doing body weight and weighted floor exercises. It's a great full body exercise and you can cater it towards your fitness. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking garage next door is free and is easy access to the gym. read more

I was visiting from out of town and used my classpass to take a couple of classes here. I took the arms and abs day and the total body day. Both classes were great, the instructors super friendly, and the facilities clean and modern. You get a great total body workout--strength and cardio in an hour! I wish we had this studio in Boston! If you have ever done Barry's bootcamp before, this workout is very similar (personally I like shred415 better than Barry's)--you alternate every 15 mins between strength exercises on the floor and cardio intervals on the treadmill. Some people start on the floor and some on the treadmill. The instructor cues both groups on movements. The workout flys by as you are constantly moving. The bench on the floor is already preset up with different weights (you can get heavier or lighter ones if you need them though). You do have to pay attention though as half the class is on the floor and half on the treadmill so the instructor is cueing both groups differently. On the treadmill they even cue you to do things like run backwards, slide shuffle, skip etc for active recovery between running intervals...pretty cool! Tip-if you want to start on the treadmill get there early as they fill up first. I'm only knocking a star off because I wouldn't want to do this workout everyday--I could see the routine getting monotonous and would want to supplement a class package here with some other gym options making shred415 an expensive option for me. read more

I'm going to start this review by being honest: I'm not fittest person on the block. I'm lucky if I make time to take a 20 minute walk around the neighborhood in a given week. Being a student, I haven't been able to list working out at the top of my priority list. Nevertheless, I saw a Groupon for Shred415 for 4 classes for around $36 and there was an additional 20% off special, so I figured this was a steal. I bought two and booked myself and a friend for a Total Body workout with Ryan. Despite being nervous because this was my first organized workout experience, everyone here was incredibly friendly. Ryan found us before the workout started and explained how to use all of the equipment we would need. The workout was definitely challenging but I will be back! Ryan did a great job motivating me to keep going even though I thought I couldn't move anymore. The music was great and upbeat. Everyone was friendly and made it feel like a no judgement zone (which is important to me). The total body workout alternated between treadmills (cardio) and strength workouts. Some of the strength workouts were harder to follow since it was dark, and I wasn't entirely familiar with them. Nonetheless, I'm excited for my next workout! read more

Everything about Shred415 is fantastic. My wife and I have been going to classes here for more than a year. Both the classes and everything that surrounds and supports them is exemplary. Scheduling is super easy. There is also childcare for some classes, which is wonderful. The showers are spotless and complete with towels, shaving gel and mouthwash. And then there are the classes themselves, which are intense in the way that you would want your gym class to be. The classes are divided between the treadmills (the top-of-line woodway treadmills) and the floor, with rotating work on each (the class is named for the four 15-minute segments). The instructors are enthusiastic and will get you to a great workout. There will be sweat. For everything that you get, the per class price is incredibly reasonable, and all the more so if you fall within one of their promotions or packages. read more

I really love these work-outs. Very intense. Perfect for the runner who loves running but realized that long runs have caused me injuries. These running intervals make me strong, without the wear-and-tear injuries I used to get. Then the abdominal/arms/core exercises in between are good for toning and actually improve my running. staff is exceptional. the time passes quickly for a very intense productive work-out.
