    The is it Bricket??

Paid $26.00 for bland, old and tasteless food. I got a brisket sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. I brought a large bbq pork plate with hash and baled beans. You can also get your own bbq sauce, it was 4 of them and I only tasted vinegar and black pepper. The pork plate was very salty. The brisket did not have a smoke ring or had any smoke or grilled taste. Cook it fresh, season your food. That was a lot of money to spend to be highly disappointed.

I have found my BBQ go to place for Augusta, GA. The experience was top notch from start to finish. This is an order at counter restaurant. We were looking at the menu trying to decide what to order when an employee approached us and helped us decided. Maybe we have the same taste in food but we were exceptionally happy with our choices. We decided to share a 4 meat platter with ribs, brisket, burnt ends, and chopped pork. I think I found hog heaven with every bite. We were so pleased with the full experience. We ordered quickly, paid quickly, seated quickly, got our food quickly, and enjoyed our meal!! If I return to Augusta, I know one of my stops will be to return here for another great meal. I hope you try this place out and if you do based on this review, I hope your experience os as epic as ours. totally fabulous dining experience!

I was in town visiting family. They know I have a serious BBQ addiction so they did takeout with the BBQ barn. My cousin asked for my input and he chose a pulled pork plate for me. He made a marvelous choice! The pulled pork checked all of the boxes for what I look for in pulled pork - tasty seasoning, tender and easy to chew, and mixes well with sauces. I do not know how many sauces they have but I sampled the mustard, hot mustard, vinegar, and hot vinegar. All were marvelous! I liked the hot mustard the most as it was just a solid mustard BBQ sauce with black pepper added to it. My cousin picked out Hash and rice for one of sides. I had never had it and it must be a regional thing in the Augusta area or for South Carolina. The hash was like a thick stew sitting on top of rice. I really enjoyed it. The potato salad was a solid mustard base type. I would love to visit the BBQ barn in person one day for some terrific BBQ in North Augusta.

First time here..Dont know why. Foisvwas excellent. Had the pork Bbq. The ribs the brisket and half a chicken plus mac and cheese and collards for just 20.00 plus tax also tried the hash and rice pretty good 4.5 stars only because I also got desserts and to full to eat them.. I will definitely be going back as often as I can Service was on point friendly and attentive also I believe they give military discount. Overall , great place to sit down and enjoy some fabulous food.

The NEW BBQ Batn housemade sweet chili sauce. I'm a fan! Mix a little of hot sauce in it for more spice.

Ambience. A Service. A Food. A+ Price. A Found in North Augusta on corner of Atomic road. Looks like a farmhouse Sid rod road. Big PIG sign ...can't miss it! Atmosphere is bright cool lights and open space with lots of old sign memorabilia. Service was swift, friendly and helpful. Order at counter and they will bring your food to the table. The cashier introduced me to their NEW sweet chili BBQ sauce! Nice piquant vinegar and just right sweetness. I like it and mix it a little with their HOT sauce. I'm glad they're consistent with their 4 sauces. Mild / Hot mustard and regular. Really great sauce. Today was ordering the 1 meat and 2 sides. I just got the bbq pork and double sides of hash/rice. I like the light flavors of the smokiness and moist morsels taste of meat itself. Add sauce that works best for you. It's Nov 2021 and I don't see any Covid19 restrictions. I was the only one wearing a mask...and that's because I have a slight cough. I'm just protecting others around me. Okay...it's been years and good to be back. I'm once again a Fan!

The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food.

We weren't expecting the inside to be so big, let alone the HUGE outdoor covered patio with lots of TVs! Everyone working was friendly and we got seated promptly outside. I got the chocolate orange espresso martini and my husband got the cinnamon maple old fashion. The espresso martini was to die for. One of the best I've had. Not overly sweet but was so delusions with the orange and chocolate. A match made in heaven. The old fashion was ok, needed a little more cinnamon and one big ice cube instead of a bunch of small ones. (He's picky with his old fashions) We decided to split a 2 meat and 2 sides plate. We got the brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was tender and seasoned well, nice and Smokey. Pulled pork was ok, some pieces were a little dry. The beans were really good as well, great bbq flavor. Potato salad was the best I've had. Hands down. Mustard heavy and not mayo which is AMAZING. it was still creamy but the flavor was unique and tangy. Highlight of the dish in my opinion! Definitely worth checking out! It was a great experience.

Please put a sign in the window on the closed side. When you pull up to the entrance, you'll smell the smoke from the grill in the air! There's also a huge grill out front that you simply can't miss! I was quickly greeted upon entry. I ordered 2 rib plates with potato salad and a pint of hash, smoked wings weren't available this particular day. Since I've gone back during lunchtime, specifically to try these smoked wings. Unfortunately, they were closed both times. I should have checked their hours prior. Located their hours on their FB page. They're open 11-5 Wednesday-Saturday. Onto the food...The ribs and potato salad were ok or unremarkable to me. I guess I'm a little picky, but I didn't see a smoke ring nor taste the smoke at all. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I did go a little late. Maybe the ribs were warming awhile. Not sure, but I'll give it a try earlier next time along with the smoked wings and update my review as necessary. My husband and I both really loved the hash and rice!!! I came at around 3pm but it's advisable to come earlier when they open at 11:30am cause the food sells out fast! They have ribs, chicken, turkey wings, pork chop, and so much more. I got the smokehouse chicken with hash and rice with mac and cheese. The chicken is smoked to perfection and you get good flavor all the way through the whole piece of chicken. It's really tender too and tastes even better with the bbq sauce. The chicken has the best smokey flavor that I've never had anywhere else before. The hash and rice is also really good with lots of flavor and not too salty at all. The Mac and cheese is great too. I don't know what they put in it but it's delicious. The mango lemonade is perfect to wash everything down with (just a little too sweet for my preference). I definitely want to come back again to try their ribs and pork but I need to remind myself to come earlier so everything won't be sold out by the time I get there. I wish i knew about this place earlier because they seriously have good legit bbq. Also wish they had a sign in the front of the restaurant so it's easier to find. But hey if you know you know.

First review of 2025 and it's a good one! We finally got back to Freeman's before they sold out and…read moreit did not disappoint. I'm not necessarily a culinary professional but I am a southern gal who loves food and loves to cook, and my family and I have strong feelings about BBQ. Since moving to the CSRA, we've found lots of "pretty good" bbq but nothing GREAT. Then we finally had Freeman's! They make traditional BBQ, slow smoking the whole hog and they only smoke about 1000lbs a week and they sell out in the three days they are open (Thurs-Sat). The pulled pork is great (and for other reviewers questioning, pulled pork is the real BBQ, other meats can be good but don't bother on a first visit with anything other than pulled pork), I think it can stand alone without sauce just because it's tender and smoky, but the sauce (a delicious and not too sour vinegar based BBQ sauce) only makes it better. I've got strong feelings about hash too, and their hash was quite good. A little on the watery side for me BUT it wasn't liver hash (a pro in my mind) and it was not overly sweet like many hashes tend to be (including my own recipe, that I'm now going to fiddle with). The Mac and cheese was good but needed salt (as most restaurants do, we love salt). That's all we got- pulled pork, bbq sauce, hash, Mac and cheese. We went there to order takeout and brought it home so I cooked rice myself. They have a very small seating area inside, a few tables with hole-in-the-wall vibes. I definitely think they are better suited to doing what we did- takeout to eat at home or elsewhere but the restaurant dining area was clean and if we didn't have a toddler who can't sit still I'd probably be more inclined to stay and eat. Their menu is limited but that is a GOOD thing, and I can only vouch for what we had but I suspect the other sides are good too. We talked with Mr Freeman, the third generation owner, and he was very helpful and kind in answering my questions about BBQ and helping us decide how much food we needed for our group. IMPORTANT: as I mentioned, they run out of their pulled pork every day. The first time we tried to go was at 5pm on a Saturday and they were sold out. The second time we went was around 12:30 or 1 on a Saturday and he said they were already on their way to being sold out for the day. Go early (they open at 11) to ensure you don't miss out on the best BBQ in the CSRA!
