Service was truly excellent. They start you with complimentary pork rinds. I ordered the garlic chicken BBQ bowl and it was really flavorful. This dish had a pit more teriyaki influence than I was expecting but still delicious. Want to come back here to try other things on the menu. Very large portions. Casual ambiance that is perfect for a lunch outing.

Driving through Augusta for vacation and decided to stop here. MAN! This was the best ever! Everything was excellent. Fast and friendly service and we absolutely cleared this plate. Big portions! But it was excellent. I've never had macaroni salad that good. We might even go back on our way home haha!

WOW. Price, value, quality. From Top to bottom Hawaiian Style BBQ is a 5 star restaurant. I ordered the 2 meat plate. Hawaiian Chicken and Short Rib with a side of Hawaiian rolls, cabbage kimchi, and macaroni salad. Everything I had was amazing. My girl ordered the pork plate. I personally liked the pork more than the short rib, but my girl preferred the short rib. Everything was flavored amazingly. My new favorite restaurant in Augusta.

Walking into Hawaiian Style BBQ in Augusta felt like stepping back onto the islands. I was immediately greeted by a warm, friendly mohine who made me feel right at home. Hawaiian music was playing in the background, setting the perfect vibe. I've visited Hawaii many times, and I can honestly say this is one of the best Hawaiian restaurants I've been to on the mainland. Period. Food: They started us off with chicharrón (pork rinds) that were seasoned perfectly--crispy, flavorful, and I'm pretty sure they were made in-house. Absolutely delicious. I paired my meal with their lilikoi party punch (with rum), and it was phenomenal--sweet, tangy, refreshing, and not too strong. For my main plate, I ordered the Hungry Hawaiian lunch plate, which included Korean BBQ short ribs, kalua pork, and Hawaiian BBQ chicken, with rice, mac salad, and kalua cabbage. The portions were enormous--easily enough to feed 3-4 people. I ate half and still had plenty left over. * The kalua pork was tender, juicy, and full of authentic island flavor. * The Korean BBQ short ribs were cut perfectly, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and clearly marinated for at least 24-48 hours. * The BBQ chicken was smoky, juicy, and absolutely spot-on. Service & Ambiance: Service was outstanding--attentive, kind, and welcoming. My server, Shonnalynn, was one of the best servers I've had during my entire stay in Augusta. She was attentive, genuine, and truly made me feel at home. That level of care elevated the whole experience. Hats off to the kitchen as well--Ms. Megan, the chef, is one of the better auntie cooks I've had the pleasure of tasting from here in Georgia. Her flavors, execution, and authenticity brought me right back to the islands. The atmosphere overall was pure kamaʻāina (family-style comfort), making you feel like you were eating in a Hawaiian home. Extras: For dessert, I tried the banana fritter, deep-fried hopia-style, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with caramel. It was the perfect sweet finish. Another nice touch: the menu also features Filipino dishes, which shows how the owners beautifully blend Hawaiian and Filipino culture into their food. Final Verdict: This is hands-down a must-try spot in Augusta if you're looking for something beyond southern food. Hawaiian Style BBQ delivers authentic island flavors, generous portions, and heartfelt service. I'll absolutely be back--and I 100% recommend it to anyone in town. Mahalo!

First, the waitress was very welcoming and kind. Complimentary pork rinds came out, what a tasty snack. I got the 2 meat combo which comes with 3 sides. The pulled pork was very salty, but these are soy sauce based bbq sauces. Teriyaki beef was yummy and those sweet potato fries were definitely handcut! This is one of the better places to eat in the area.

First food stop in Augusta for the Masters. The great reviews weren't lying. I would give it a solid 4.5 / 5 stars. Worlds better than an L&L and surprisingly good for a smaller town in Georgia. The complementary pork rinds were icing on the cake. The decorations were fitting with Hirie playing in the background. I joked to my uncle to order a drink and show his Hawaiian ID. The food was very good. Mac salad hit the spot and the kalbi was great. The kimchi sides were a nice touch to balance the rice. I saw the adobo on the menu and was bummed we weren't there on the right day to try it. I'll try to work our schedule around when we visit the Masters next time.

Great service and delicious hot food! Ivy was an amazing host and very helpful! We were dining in for my daughter's birthday dinner.

Great food and customer service. My friend was visiting Augusta, so we decided to try this place out and we both thought it was decent. The grill chicken bowl with rice was a clean meal packed with protein, yet extremely savory because the chicken was grilled and marinated well. You can also customize the bowl by choosing two meat choices and the option to add or remove vegetable options. They also give free fried pork skin as appetizer, which was nice. The cons of this place was the price. We both thought it was fairly expensive and my friend thought the kimchi wasn't that good. The bowl looks pretty small, but it's actually packed with rice and really filling. If you like fresh kimchi, it's not bad, but if you like the fermented kinds, this isn't it. The staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining to us first timers on what a Hawaiian bbq is. Definitely will be back!

Aloha from Oahu, Hawaii! Very blessed by the service here. I haven't eaten real Hawaiian food since leaving Hawaii and this has been the closest I've been able to get to home. The hostess, server and chef were all very kind and allowed me to sample the poke before committing to making a full order. My partner and I both had the poke bowl, 2 choice of protein: garlic chicken, and bbq chicken. 10/10 The serving size is big and worth it. We also had the musubis and it was spot on! Just like home

I'm a BIG fan of all things Hawaii, and this place brings the aloha spirit to Augusta, GA. This food made me feel all the feels and took me back to the foodtrucks on Kauai. The service was excellent and the reccommendations were on-point. The portions are huge, and there's no way you'll leave hungry. I got the BBQ chicken and my husband got the kalua pork. If you do nothing else, don't sleep on the lumpia appetizer. Made from scratch and delicious! You absolutely MUST try their mai tais, because they're so affordable and come in the most adorable, quality tiki glasses! If you are like me and want to take a tiki glass home, they're only $15. It is a little hot in the restaurant, so if you're temperature sensitive, grab it to-go. Otherwise, pull up a chair and enjoy some 5 star Hawaiian cuisine!

I am so excited to discover this place! I live in Columbia, SC and I'll gladly drive an hour to satisfy this craving. I've lived in Hawaii and I'm from California and I've been saying for ten years that I miss Hawaiian BBQ and we don't have it. I can't believe it's in Augusta! We got Mac salad, Kalua Pork, rolls, rice, cabbage, and lumpia. It was all delicious. It's pricey but you get a ton of food, so sharing is a good idea. The ambiance is relaxing and gives some Hawaiian vibes. Service was good! I can't wait to go back.

    Loco Moco & cracklins
    Kory W.

Wanted something different for lunch today so we stopped into this place and what a surprise. The Loco Moco is just what I needed. Katie was superb. She made sure we did not ask for anything from refills to condiments, she was on it. She also made sure my Loco Moco was to order since I am not fond of onions. The atmosphere is a very chill and everyone was available to assist Katie. I will definitely come back the next time im in Augusta, even if its only for the cracklins!!!

Rae's Coastal Cafe is my usual first stop restaurant for some scrumptious vittles south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Our Jerk chicken wings were a great start for our first dinner on this adventure. Our (us three golfers) salads were good. Our crab cakes were very good! Our chocolate pudding pie was great. My three fingers of Makers Mark was excellent. We sat outside by their lake where the peace and quiet were throughly enjoyed. Our waitress was friendly and helpful choosing the combinations that made this dinner delightful.

Server was lovely and everything arrived in a very reasonable amount of time. Food was a 3. No more. The shrimp and grits were really a big miss. I read where it said casserole and I was fully expecting a new (for me) twist on shrimp and grits - but it was not good. Dry baked grits with maybe three shrimp total and a few tiny piece of crab. No sauce, no cheese on top - nothing. Was very very odd indeed - more like cornbread or spoon bread with zero flavor. My husband ordered a steak and it was good, so there was some redemption there. I will say, one major restaurant pet peeve for me is when the first thing you smell when you open the door is air freshener. The bathrooms are right by the door and they have a fake cherry air freshener smell pumping out from them. So that's what you get hit with when you walk in. I don't know the solution to this type of layout, but strong air freshener isn't it.

It is decorated like a casual bar and grill. My server was in training but friendly and worked alongside his trainer head server. For beverages, I ordered the oyster shooter and that Bloody Mary did not disappoint. I also had a Black Raspberry Margarita. This seems to be a thing in Augusta for Margaritas as well as this was the 2nd restaurant I went to and had this. The other place was better though. But let's talk about the food! The catfish was super tasty. They gave me fries although I didn't order them, and of course I still ate them. I had a side of baked potato salad. I should've asked why they're baked, but that was just okay. I had the TASTE OF BEAMIES- chicken & shrimp gumbo, black eyed pea jambalaya, shrimp and grits, my fav's in order were the chicken and shrimp gumbo, the shrimp and grits, then the black eyed pea jambalaya. I also ordered the 1/2 dozen Rockefeller oysters and they were amazing. The hush puppies that came with them were just okay. Overall, I enjoyed this meal.
