The food was decent given that it's a buffet. The fried chicken was delicious, but the rest of the food was just alright. Service was prompt since when I'm done eating on a plate, they cleared it out pretty quickly. On the bright side, it was busy when I went in there so food was never lukewarm, and the value of the meal is better than most fast food joints these days with inflation.

I don't normally go around giving 5 stars for a buffet place, but I just did! Maybe because bad service seems to be the norm nowadays(I bartended/waitressed for 20 yrs and it drives me nuts!)and I would rather stay home most times. But the service I got on this particular day(Saturday 1:00) was excellent. I always order water to drink. My cup never had a chance to get low. Our server checked on us several times and took our used plates away when she did. She stayed moving and we kept her busy. It is a buffet after all! But let me back up for a minute. This place wasn't anything near what I thought we were going to eat. My cousin came to visit from ATL and I don't remember ever going to a buffet with her. She mostly likes fancy places or fusion for fun. So I was running behind schedule and told her while she was waiting, she could pick any place she wants. I was shocked when she said BJ's buffet. Because I love buffets. I always have and I always will. I was thrilled because I've never been and I've heard good things. I must've tried 95% of what they had to offer. Just a little bit of everything. OMG the fried chicken was the best! Everything about our visit to BJ's was above average. Even pulling up to a line of customers out of the door. At first, you think you'll be waiting forever, but it only took a few minutes. We actually made friends with the people waiting before us. Everyone and everything was just perfect. You don't get too many days like this. Well worth $15

"I love the food and the waitresses. I've been coming here since I was pregnant with my son, and the staff is always so nice. They even remember our drink orders. Highly recommend!"

Return trip here and it was great again. A full parking lot always is a good sign. Pay your way in and eat your way out. Ample selections of fresh made vegetables and a good selection of meats and even fried catfish too. Salad bar awesome with the standard toppings plus delicious chicken, potato and pasta salads... dessert bar too with fresh fruit and peach cobbler on the hot bar. A fav of mine pistachio fluff was on there too for the win!! When you need a fix of comfort food head over to the old Shoney's building in North Augusta.

If you've never been there, they will start you out with samples of all of their lemonade (which all of them are incredibly flavorful) and you'll inevitably get one because it's THAT good. The staff comes with recommendations to help you navigate the menu and they are so attentive and helpful. I'd go as far to say that they had some of the best service in Augusta. Now to the food, 10/10 I could not recommend them enough. I've had the honey lemon pepper wings and the loyalty platter. And it was so good. The honey lemon pepper wings were full of deep flavor and they give you at-least 10 wings with the plate. The steak and shrimp are the best seasoned meats I've ever had at a restaurant. I've also had a few nibbles of their seafood and ‍. Then when you're ready for dessert, don't worry you get samples too. The blue velvet is my favorite but all of them are award winning so you can't go wrong when it comes to Nattas sweet treats. Over all, great experience, great people, and great place. Get out and support local, it'll never disappoint. P.S. if you think it's pricey, you're wrong. You get what you pay for here. You get no less than two meals out of one plate.

The portion sizes are generous and very tasty. I made a Southern Palmer with their Peach Tea and Unsweetened Ice Tea 1/2 & 1/2 of both mixed together, was the perfect beverage to pair with the Honor Platter. I finished the honorable meal with The Strawberry Velvet Cake Brownie & Red Velvet Brownie dessert pairing. The service from when I stepped in, while eating and leaving was exceptional, inviting and very pleasant. Shurell was fabulous, vibrant and a fresh of breath air. I highly recommend Kitchen Kings x Natta's Sweet Bakery to discover Augusta's Hidden Gem off Gordon Hwy. The Ambiance was the perfect R&B Vibe for a casual, sexy Saturday. The music Playlist was the perfect R&B garnish to the entire dining experience. I will be back for their Low Country Boil & the wonderful Strawberry Velvet Cake. I'm picky about BBQ, as are most southerners, because everyone has the BBQ they grew up with to set…read morethe standard and that varies tremendously geographically! But South Carolina has the best BBQ of all the southern states when you can find the right stuff. BBQ Barn is the right stuff. They've got pulled pork with quality sauces, hash similar to what I make myself (therefore excellent), delicious southern sides, sweet (and unsweet) tea, various other meats (their burnt ends are yum!) and some desserts that look great but I haven't tried yet. They also aren't a buffet style restaurant which is a great thing in my opinion. They have a good amount of seating but I don't think they'll fit lots of large groups so keep that in mind. They do have a drive thru and you can order food to go. Unfortunately, they are also like other good BBQ places in their limited hours; they are only open Wednesday-Saturday each week so they can't be Sunday dinner or Monday emergency dinner unless you plan well ahead. The staff are nice and the restaurant is always clean enough. When we aren't making our own barbecue, we are probably getting barbecue from BBQ Barn (or the only other good bbq spot in the CSRA).

Between the playground right next door, open outdoor seating, and nearby walking trails, it seemed like the perfect road trip pitstop for our stir-crazy kids (and parents). Bonus: we saw they had drinks and a promising-looking menu. Total win, right? Unfortunately, we rolled in an hour before opening--my fault for not checking the hours. That would've been a disaster since my 4-year-old and I were both doing the "I need to pee" dance, but thankfully, the kind kitchen staff let us in to use the restroom while they prepped. We decided to hang around and wait for them to open, and honestly, the outdoor space made it easy to kill an hour. The kids ran around, we played on the playground, and when a sudden downpour rolled in, we took cover under their patio and even got to play a round of giant Connect 4. By the time 4:00 rolled around, we were wet, hungry, and ready to eat. And then it got awkward. We rushed inside excitedly... only to be met with a trio of staff who looked just as confused by us as we were by the vibe. No one greeted us, no host stand, just a blank stare until someone finally said we could sit anywhere. So we awkwardly claimed a table and tried to shake off the weird energy. Our server came over soon after, and we placed our order. I got the drink special--a gin Paloma--which was fine, nothing remarkable. We started with fried pickles (solid but unmemorable), and then moved on to our mains: cheese pitas for the girls, hot honey chicken sliders with sweet potato fries for me, and fish and chips for my husband. Sadly, things went downhill from there. My chicken sliders were just basic chicken tenders on toasted buns. The goat cheese added a little something, but the hot honey was nowhere to be found. The sweet potato fries were floppy and undercooked. The girls' cheese pita was... well, exactly what the menu said: pita with melted cheese. But it somehow still felt a little sad. The worst offender? The fish and chips. The fish was soggy, and the breading slid off like it was trying to escape the plate. The potato wedges were also undercooked. My husband ended up sending it back and opting for the warm chocolate brownie instead. The brownie was better than the fish--barely--but it was clearly just a microwaved store-bought dessert with a drizzle of syrup. In the end, the best part of our visit wasn't the food--it was the playground, the covered patio, and the generosity of the kitchen staff who let us in before opening. We were grateful for the rest stop, but the restaurant itself fell way short of expectations. for the family-friendly location and outdoor amenities for the kind kitchen staff and covered patio with games Points off for food quality (main dishes and dessert mostly disappointing) for the awkward service vibe at opening for lack of value and underwhelming execution If they improved food execution and tightened up the front-of-house experience, this place could easily be a 4-star gem for families on the go. As it stands, it's a pretty setting with subpar substance.
