How dare you send such awesome and courteous and respectful guys to move me. Two weeks ago, my Daughter and 4 Grandchildren, had to make a very difficult move. I then posted a great review on YELP, and described , in no uncertain terms, what a WONDERFUL experience we had with A1 Affordable Movers. For whatever reason, YELP chose to remove our review, and rate it "not recommended " ! Why, I do not know. What I do know, is that Mike, Jack and Bryce were amazing. From my first conversation with Mike, I knew we would be in good hands. He was kind, understanding, empathetic and explained his reasonable charges so there would be no questions. On moving day, Mike took my 11 yr old Grandson under his wing. He made him feel like one of the guys. He was reassuring to my Granddaughters,that things will get better, making this move a little more lighthearted. The guys were non-stop hard workers, professional and responsible ... They were excellent!! We were new to the area and had a recommendation to use a different mover, they showed up on the day of the move, said they were short 1 guy and it was raining so couldn't move us, that was a Friday and the next time they could move us was Tuesday. I talked to a friend and he gave me this recommendation for A-1 based on their great experience with them. I called and talked with Mike and even though they try to avoid working on Sundays he and his crew made every exception for us and got us moved. The two guys they sent were simply amazing, (Devon and Waskal) we ordered pizza and they didn't want to stop and eat. I would recommend them to everyone I know, I saved $400 from the original price I was going to pay the movers that were afraid of the rain. A-1 Affordable Movers we're a life saver for me. Mike the owner out of the dozen moving companies i contacted presented hope I could move most of my entire apartment into my storage unit. I'm ex military and had no one here to help me. Mike made me feel comfortable and confident this job would get done last minute without any scheduling in there busy day of Saturday. Literally the moving crew T.J. and Devon tackled the task of my poor planning of moving within minutes of showing up and loading everything in a professional manner. I recently purchased a used spinet piano and needed it picked up and delivered. Searching for a piano mover for the short 2.5 mile trip, I found many of them were extremely expensive. Eventually, I found A-1 Affordable Movers and called them. I must admit I braced myself for another $500+ estimate. To my surprise I found A-1 extremely reasonable at a flat rate of $255 for two hours. Mike, the owner, was delightful to work with - even though I probably drove him crazy. He worked with me to set up the move, and gave me a time. He also had his movers call me to advise when they were on the way. They delivered the piano, treating it very carefully, and actually helped me by holding it up so I could put new wheels on it before they put it down. This is a honest review. Let me start off by saying AJ and Devon were amazing young men and did an excellent job at moving my items into storage. Mike came up with a good quote for me for the job. They cared for my items, they are professional & adequately wrapped the delicate items before transferring. Upon arrival, Mike comes out the truck and does not introduce himself & doesn't have a friendly demeanor.He proceeds to let me know that he thinks my storage unit is not large enough for my items without even seeing the storage unit, he's already telling me that I should order a bigger one (it was more than enough room when we got there& unloaded, I even had extra room). He complained about the job and I honestly felt uncomfortable. I appreciated them coming up with a reasonable price of $325 for the 2 hours. Aj & Dev moved quickly within the timeframe allotted, which was good. read more

We used A-1 Affordable Movers to move and right from the start they were not pushy, answered my questions honestly, and quoted a reasonable price. Mike personally kept me up to date and checked in to see how things were going throughout the move. The movers themselves got in touch the day before, and kept me informed. They give you a window, and came pretty early in that time frame. They loaded everything we had packed with extreme care and systematically. They took great care with our valuable belongings from the smallest boxes to the largest and heaviest furniture. Delivery the next day went well, and they were careful and efficient. Movers were professional and trucks were well maintained and clean. After interviewing a few movers to handle my very high end furniture to be delivered to our new address and nearby storage unit, we chose A-1 Affordable. Mike came by and explained how his crew would carefully wrap our furniture with cardboard and plastic for long term storage in an air conditioned unit. Our furniture looked as though it just left a showroom. The crew was very polite and extremely careful in handling our expensive heavy furniture. A lot of furniture was delivered to the storage unit and strategically placed for care. I highly recommend this company. My family immediately hired them to do their move in the coming months. Mike sent his son to give me a quote. It was a not-to-exceed amount. On Moving Day his son, AJ and another young gentleman named Jack, arrived at my residence on time. They were polite and efficient. It took incredible care and wrapping my furniture. Didn't stop working for 1 minute. At the other end of the move, they were very careful and how they placed my possessions in storage. I was pleased that the amount was under the estimate given. I will definitely hire it A-1 Affordable movers again when I am ready to settle into my new home. After a long distance move we hired these guys to unload our 26 foot U-Haul truck, up to a second floor apartment at 9am. They were a little late due to traffic backup (but kept us updated), however, they more than made up for it, by hustling like crazy to make up the time, since we needed to drop off the truck at U-Haul by Noon. Dont pre-judge, or let their small size fool you. These guy transform into beasts, when it is time to lift and move things. The price they quoted was very reasonable!
