I have used this moving company twice, the first time two guys came and moved me from the third floor of an apartment building. They were very efficient and very fast but the woman I spoke with prior to the move ensured me there would be 4-5 wardrobe boxes for all of my hanging clothes, they only brought one. I had to make 3 more trips in my personal car to pick up the rest of my clothes which defeats the purpose of hiring movers. I messaged the woman back on Yelp about this and she left me on read with no offers of a solution for over a year. About a year later I decide to give them another chance and bring up the issue with the wardrobe boxes before. She offers a $50 discount and this time I arrange for 3 people to come and move me from a first floor apartment to a single story home. The most inefficient move I have ever experienced, they took longer to move than when I lived on the third floor and the guys had to wait for the elevator. They moved at a glacial pace and I ended up paying for 3 guys for the same amount of time as it took the first time I moved. On top of all of this they didn't wear gloves or wash their hands so my light furniture has black handprints on it from the moving dust on their hands. One of the guys dragged a piece of furniture and broke off a leg and I watched him use a piece of plastic to wedge the leg back in. Very unprofessional movers in my opinion, only one guy was taking his job seriously and trying to get me moved quickly the other two just lingered around waiting for him to move and package all my things. I didn't see a point in reaching out about the damage or the handprints as the customer service had already proved once your move is complete they could not care less about you. After submitting my inquiry for movers on Yelp (with super late notice - I needed service the very next day!!), I received quite a few estimates from other companies, and Best Price Movers BY FAR offered the best price for the 3 hours needed. Total came to $421 in case competitors are curious. And that included the fee for distance and travel time for 30 minutes and TWO stops with the truck!!! And I am happy to report that they did a fabulous job today. The two guys who came to move my things arrived within the quoted timeframe window and worked so hard. They were also very personable which was a plus since people can be weird; these guys were NOT! They had some issues backing the truck into my narrow parking area but then again so would I, given that truck's size! The only disappointment was that they couldn't remove the TV mount from the wall which would probably have required a socket wrench, but they did get the TV off of the mount. I understood the liability so I'm going to have a friend help me with that later this week. Even my parents were surprised by the deal I got. So yes, I would recommend Best Price Movers and their yellow truck to anyone I know who wants to shop smart and save their backs. read more

Beware!!! We used the company 2x before. It was an absolute pleasure. This time, they canceled on us THE DAY OF the move (after confirming they were coming) due to a "truck breakdown". They would not provide any reasonable accomodations, we even offered to pay for a U-HAUL truck. They did not notify us that they weren't coming. We had to call on our own to receive this information 5x at least. We asked to speak to a manager, they would not let us call them. They would not move our slot to the next morning either, and when we finally agreed to the following afternoon after they offered it to us, they cancelled on us AGAIN after saying it was booked out from under us via email. No call returned. Now we're left sitting in our house empty, finding another mover the day of (which is extremely costly.) Didn't even refund our deposit yet 2 days later. This is the most unprofessional moving company in Florida, would not recommend to anyone. Update: almost a month later, still no deposit refunded. BEWARE!!!!!! read more

Stay far away from this company. It's taken me a while to write this review after dealing with so many broken/damaged/mishandled items. This has truly been a nightmare experience that I'll try to sum up succinctly (with pictures attached): -we hired this company to pack us up and move us an hour away within the Tampa Bay Area. The movers had no respect for our items. Our 2-bed apartment was sparkling clean and organize and pretty much pre-packed. The movers threw our delicate cookware in boxes without wrapping them.. and even threw snow boots we have from our bedrooms in our kitchen boxes?? -they threw our baby's glass bottles in a box.. shattering glass, whiskey glasses, etc etc. -they threw a delicate (expensive) clock that was hung in our living room in a box with no wrapping. It was shattered with pieces broken off -they scratched our beautiful wooden table and benches.. no coverings, no protection. Our wooden bench was just purchased before the move. They threw it in their truck causing the wood to chip on the legs with scratches throughout -they threw beautiful string lights from our patio in a box with heavy items.. of course shattered -Our electronics (all scratched) were thrown together in boxes with bathroom items... even my son's diaper pail! They broke a crucial piece to our record player which can no longer be used -Nice delicate handheld makeup mirrors were thrown in boxes, damaged, along with our expensive all-clad pots that are now scratched and banged up This has been a horrifying experience!! We'll never get those items back or the time and stress we've had to endure dealing with this. Three men arrived to our apartment ... two really young guys... they had no issue damaging our stuff. Some damages even felt intentional. I complained to a manager who was apologetic.. and offered a relatively small compensation for our troubles. I was also told the movers were forced to go through a "training" after what they did... but why were they not already "trained"? Also...the truck they brought waS too small so they had to make two trips between the places... dragging out the day... but even that was the least of our problems in the end. Unfortunately ... with our busy schedules we didn't feel it worth going through their claims department because clearly this business is not professional to begin with and quite frankly the damage is already done. Many of these items cannot be replaced and it's just been awful. Worst moving experience imaginable. We would have gladly paid more elsewhere had we known. BestPrice Movers didn't secure the load and furniture fell over and crushed my TV. It was a new TV but I wasn't too upset because I thought they would make things right. They aren't. They forwarded me to a 3rd party who takes "30-60 days" to respond to claims. The 3rd party will also ask you for multiple documents but only allow you to upload one. What most people would consider unfair practices. Google their reviews (movingclaims.net); you can see what happens if you need to file a claim! Anywho, the silver lining is that in Pinellas County anything under $5k can be handled in small claims and according to this form, it's only going to cost who ever looses $175 in fees :) I'd say wish me luck, but I don't think I'll need it. read more

They arrived with two men when we explicitly requested three and did not provide notice or change the pricing until we said something. The move ended up taking 7 HOURS for a 2 bedroom apartment. What really upset me was how they treated our belongings. We painstakingly wrapped our furniture only for them to slide the pieces across concrete which ripped the bubble wrap and packing wrap, chipping on solid wood furniture. We had a brand new armoire that the mover knocked a chunk of of because he didn't make sure he cleared the doorway. Our job entailed moving 4 rooms of furniture into a Pod. The team arrived on time, were efficient and did a great job arranging all of the furniture to fit in a single Pod. We had quite a few glass top tables and delicate pieces. They methodically wrapped each fragile piece in moving blankets and, then, with shrink-wrap. I had purchased 24 large heavy duty moving blankets and they used all of them. They worked quickly and ensured that all of our glass, mirrors and delicate pieces were secure as the Pod was being relocated to a warehouse. Our movers said that they were not allowed to reassemble anything- only disassembled. The left all of our furniture in pieces and after speaking with a representative at best price movers, we found out that this was not true- they DO reassemble. For the amount we paid, I was shocked to find out there would be no price adjustment for this. We paid for a product we did not receive. This is the 3rd time i've used these movers and each time they're extremely helpful and kind. They wrapped all my furniture/tvs to keep from getting dirty or damaged throughout the move and worked quickly (obviously moving is a tiring long process) I was made aware they were going to be running behind from their current move before mine and appreciated the communication. This is the best moving company ever! I had sent out for quotes to 3 companies. BestPrice Movers responded right away and had a very reasonable quote. The second company took a day and was about twice as much. The third company (who doesn't have very good reviews here) never even bothered to respond. My move was set up within a few days. So they already got good marks for response and availability right away. I had just purchased a lot of brand new furniture before the move so I was a bit nervous my brand new items would get damaged. But the moving team of Kenny and Nate was first class. They assured me it would all be just fine. And then I saw how they took such care with each item - wrapping with lots of blankets and fully covering everything. I was so impressed with their care. And they were really fast. I mean, no lolly gagging or anything. It was just pick it up, put it in the truck, come back for the next, and repeat. All while being super friendly and easy going. Then, about a week after the move I realized I was missing a canvas painting. I had wrapped it in a cardboard box and realized later that it might have been mistaken for garbage. I didn't have much hope of finding it thinking it might have been thrown out but I contacted Amy just in case. Over the next week with back and forth emails showing pictures and her checking the warehouse she found it! I can't tell you how happy I was! She didn't give up until she found it! Let me preface this by stating I am disabled and that is the reason for me contacting a moving company for help because I can hear it now...what are you complaining about, why not do it yourself or get 17 friends to help you or 63 other reasons someone can come up with. That's my reason. I'm not sure if they out priced themselves on purpose, which might be the case but their "Yelp" special pricing they are peddling....is no different than the pricing on their website. Their website states $95.00HR with 2 Men for a Studio/1Bedroom Apartment and a "CLEAN" 16' Box Truck....I also find it slightly odd and funny they make it a point to let you know their truck is "CLEAN"....as if people expect this moving company you're thinking of hiring to show up with who knows in the truck and it being so dirty in the box that it's unacceptable for them to pack and move your things in it??? Or maybe their ripping someone off and have another delivery in the same truck by trying to do a 2nd delivery that's "on the way"??? Who knows but the fact that they have to point it out is a red flag. I digress. Back to the pricing. Again, see above for their pricing but here's my beef. So I explain to the lady I spoke with that there is NO FURNITURE and it'll just be storage bins, along with miscellaneous things that can't be packed. About 30 total, ranging from small to large. Next is location and I give her the addresses to and from and it's literally 3.1 miles exactly from my house to my storage unit. That's it. So think about this for second. 2 guys, load up a truck with storage bins, drive 3-4 miles, unload storage bins into a storage unit(which is right next to the unloading dock BTW). How long do you think? If you're not sure, then be generous and add an extra hour for whatever silly scenario you came up with. I'm saying, at most....AT MOST--2 Hours. She tell's me that there is a MINIMUM CHARGE of 4 HOURS, plus gas, plus mileage--BUT, I should get a clean truck! Again, NO FURNITURE, just storage bins, 2 dudes load up, drive 3-4 miles and unload...PLUS gas & mileage that doesn't start when they show up but when they leave THEIR place. That's another reason they have zero problems driving over an hour away when they accept jobs because they rip people off on gas & mileage.!!! Best Price Movers--REALLY??? All you had to say was due to our pricing structure, we're probably not a good fit but thank you for your interest and you would have NOT been left such a terrible review and you didn't even do any work. I felt they responded quickly, even after I enter the wrong information initially, but they also provided detailed information. They have zoomed to the top of my list at this point! However, things changed when I learned that I would be charged for their entire trip back to and from Tampa. I'm not sure why other customers had a much better experience than I did, but all I can do is comment on my unsatisfactory experience. I hired this company to move my belongings to my garage. I was repeatedly reassured that I would accommodate all my belongings by BestPrice Movers without visiting my home as I had requested. What I wanted to accomplish ahead of a complete floor replacement throughout my house was not completed. The crew did not tell me the truth about helping themselves to my drinks and candy (as evidenced by the trash they left behind). I would have offered if they had asked, although it makes no sense given this past weekend's heat not to bring liquids to stay hydrated. They weren't adequately equipped to do the job. They lacked the tools to disassemble furniture and did not possess the know-how to do so, which prompted a second crew to be dispatched the following day without any estimated arrival time even though I requested one. No furniture pads were used to protect my furniture, nor did they have anything to protect my $5,000 Tempurpedic mattress (which was replaced by my last mover after getting ruined in their warehouse the previous year). They left a lot of trash all over countertops and the floor despite repeated requests to pick up the garbage THEY generated. The dirt and debris left behind in several areas were due to not having a broom or dustpan as well as carelessness. Even though my belongings (at least what fit in the garage) didn't leave my property, items were broken or damaged. I don't know if anything was packed in boxes or labeled because there wasn't any information provided to me when they left. Plans were made "on the fly" during the move day to transport items that did not fit in my garage, but the movers inexplicably didn't do so, as evidenced in the attached photos. I didn't have a POC with contact information for any problems during the move, although the movers called their supervisor while at my home. 5/20/22 update - After numerous attempts via email, text, and other means, Amy from BestPrice Movers called me five days after posting this review. Some of my requests for assistance were time-sensitive. As evident during the phone call with her inability to understand what damages were caused (setting a desk hutch with backing attached down on my concrete driveway then pushing it more than once despite my requests to take care of it) despite repeating the situation multiple times, she mischaracterized the conversation in her response to my review. Her comments about hiring a moving company (one that sends crews out without tools or sufficient supplies to do a job), not a cleaning company, speaks for itself. They don't care about the mess they create and leave behind for you to clean up after them. Nor do they care about not completing the job or adapting after an inaccurate assessment of how much space I would require -- a point the moving team expressed frustration over after I explained to them nobody came out to physically see the scope despite my requests they do so. I went with BestPrice Movers and I am delighted I did. I got an estimate over Yelp. I made a quick call to confirm price and availability and I was ready to go. I got a quote from Assi. He answered the phone quickly and friendly and was very helpful in explaining everything. He followed up with an email and stayed with me on the phone until he made sure I got the email, which took an extra 5 minutes. He never rushed me and he waited and even resent it as the first two emails didn't come. Great service. Two days ago I called to confirm just in case, and Assi confirmed and told me he would call again the next day just to be absolutely sure I was on for today. He personally did so and I appreciated it and confirmed my appointment. Today was my move day. The moving team called me in the time window to let me know they were 27 minutes out and then called again when they were outside my building. I had an elevator reserved and off we went. As luck would have it, someone decided to try to use my reserved elevator too. The team never got flustered and I quickly fixed the situation. They sped through the packing and moving for me, making sure all the fragile stuff was packed with extra care and made sure it all got loaded on the truck. They drove to my new home quickly and unloaded much faster than they packed and loaded, which I was a little surprised by given it was nearly 100 degrees and they'd already worked 4 hours. Everything went off smoothly. Everything was handled with even better care than I would have done myself. Kenny, Edgar and Mark are true professionals I would absolutely use again on a future move. I called them within 10 minutes of them leaving and they were not available to come straight back. I had to wait two hours for them to return to pick up the remaining items.
