I came in here today with a bit of an emergency. I ripped the lining of my coat and since I'm just…read morehere visiting, I needed a fast turn around. Like most tailoring shops I've been to there was no set prices associated with tasks. Thus, I was quoted a price that I, personally, felt was high and asked if that was "the best price possible". The response I got was really quite rude but with time being a factor I decided to go through with the service. I came in a couple hours later and as promised my coat lining looked brand new and the work was done well. Overall I wasn't enthused with the interaction but I was provided with a fast & great service so I would go back.

Before leaving the shop, she tried the dress on, and we immediately noticed that it was still too long. When I politely pointed this out to the owner, she responded in a rude and aggressive manner. I was completely taken aback because I simply wanted to address the fact that the dress had not been shortened enough. She claimed that I had approved the length when she pinned it. However, during the fitting, I specifically asked her to shorten it a little more so that the tips of my daughter's toes would show and there would be no risk of her stepping on the dress. After seeing how she reacted, I decided not to continue the discussion. I figured I'd pay the $80 alteration fee and figure out a solution on my own. Unfortunately, while I was paying, the situation escalated when she continued yelling at me. Whenever I tried to calmly explain the situation to her, she repeatedly interrupted me and would not let me finish a sentence. When I calmly asked her not to interrupt so I could explain my concerns, she walked away, went into the back room, and ignored me. The alteration itself did not meet the specifications we discussed, and the owner's behavior was completely unprofessional. Save yourself the money, frustration, and unpleasant experience--find a different seamstress.
