I found this place a couple of years ago. It is so easy to, fill up your propane gas tank and very economical. The gentleman who runs the place, hooks the hose to your tank and 30 seconds later the tank is filled. Even if you have a tank that is half full can be filled. You pay for the gas put in the tank and not based on number of tanks. That is the way to go. read more

Best find in a long time! Went to the local gas station where I've been refilling my propane tanks for years. They transitioned to exchanges only. Found A 1 Propane searching for a new place. There's was no wait to get my tank filled unlike I use to have at the lags station AND....cost me 1/2 what it cost at the gas station! If you need propane and are in the SFV, do yourself a favor and go here!!! read more

You can get 6 tanks filled up here in just a few minutes and it's way less expensive than a typical tank replacement. 14-15$ per tank instead of 20-25. Especially if you show up with a lot of tanks it's definitely worth the visit. read more

This place is great! A little off the beaten path but worth the trek. The guys are always helpful with my tanks & putting them into my car. It gets busy on the weekends, when all the food trucks pull in to get filled before heading out for the night. I try to go in the middle of the day or the line can be long! Amazing price too! Found these guys when U-Haul was out of propane again! Needed to refill tanks on my RV for a camping trip. Great prices! Great service! They will also repair tanks, which is better for the environment than replacing them. They are my new go-to place for propane! Highly recommend!!! read more

I've been getting ripped off for years! I've been doing exchanges for the last couple years and they all would run $18 plus. Looked up on google and saw A+1. It had a great rating on google and I could see why. I was greeted by Javier and asked him how much for an exchange. He asked me if I had the tank and that it would be cheaper for a refill. Since my tank still had a bit of gas I was charged 10 bucks! Seriously stop getting ripped off and go visit Javier and A+1. read more

All of the 5-star reviews here are well earned. VERY nice owner who fills the tank(s) for you when needed, which I needed because I'd never done it before. While we were doing that, he let me know the new tank I'd bought last year at Costco should be good for 12 years. Quick, easy, friendly, competent, honest, and -- though I have nothing to compare it to because I'm a noob -- seems very reasonably priced. As I left, I jokingly said "See you in 12 years," but this is the kind of merchant you hope to do business with more often. read more

Javier greeted me with a pleasant hello! I refilled two propane tanks, and I had a question about a hose. Javier looked at the hose and spotted some distress along the fittings and strongly suggested that I get another one and avoid using that hose. I picked up a replacement hose only to learn that the hose that I had was leaking at the both ends. Thanks to Javier I averted a possible disaster. A subsequent visit to A+1 resulted in an impressive showing of customer support and professional. read more

This place is great! I've always just gone to rite aid over the years and have obviously over paid for propane. I basically paid half of what I used to pay for 2 tanks! Getting to see how much is put in my tanks gives me a peace of mind. Sometimes I wonder how much is actually in the rite aid tanks. This place is easy to get to and the staff is super nice!! The price/gal is clearly posted which is at least a dollar cheaper than the best gas station price I've seen anywhere in the area. They're quick and super friendly. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. No credit cards accepted for now so bring cash, but they're working on it. Don't waste your time and money anywhere else. Spend it grilling. read more

We recently got a food truck and this was the second propane spot we tried, honestly this place is amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and always so quick! Also another big plus is their prices, I have not yet seen any other place have prices as low as theirs! I've mainly worked with Javier and he is the best, my only stop for propane, I make sure to go on Saturdays to fill just so I don't go to any other propane spot for my Sunday gigs. I went to A-1 propane about a month ago. The individual working there was quick, courteous and professional. I had just purchased a new 20lb tank from Costco, as my old tank was 15+ plus years old, and need it filled for the first time. The total cost, for a complete fill was right around $10. Much easier, faster and cheaper than using a tank exchange. It was a short drive to get there but well worth the drive. When I empty out this new tank of propane I'll be going back to A-1 for a refill. read more

They're cool there and the price on propane is great. I was so upset to read on refilled tanks that I used to get at CVS and my local gas station, only fill five gallon tanks with four gallons of propane. Take the time and have them filled by hand and not pre-filled. read more
