My concern is last weekend my vehicle got towed away while McDonalds was still open and seating. My friends and I took our food to go and sat in the car to eat as others were sitting and eating. I left my car parked away from McDonald's by the middle and we walked over to a club. Some guys parked in front said it was okay to leave the car there and it was safe. My car was towed just at 12:13am they later said when they were parked in Home Depot at 1:30am. There are signs all over but only high above not within eye sight when you pull into the lot. That's a violation of the New Jersey law for towing. We pulled in by the Thrift Store when we got off of route 21. My boyfriend and dad went to pick up the car and they were charged for erroneous fees and holiday fee. They didn't get a receipt either. People please be careful parking late at night at this location because your car may get towed even when you buy food. Something is not good with towing company and the guys that were out there. We were told a Black pick up truck rides around looking for cars to tow and works for the towing company. read more

EXTREMELY RUDE. I don't do reviews of companies online, but this time I just had to. I really believe this loser should not even be in business. So I call my roadside and they send me a con artist who wants to rip me off for every penny he can, I said No you can go,but being the greedy MF he is, he agreed to take me on the 1.3 mile trip down the street. I had to ride with the jerk in the truck. It only took him like 1 f-ing minute to hook up the car, he lifted it on the two rear arms and could not even put it on the flat bed like I thought he would. I noticed he didn't strap the car down like all other companies do, he rudely said No. Finally, made it to my destination that was only like 5 minutes away. He slammed my car off his truck, I asked him to help me push it into the parking spot, the a-hole said your on your own I have to go and rushed out of there leaving me alone with a broken car on side of road. I had to bother some people that were walking by to help me push the car. If you ever run across this company or the ugly fat mother-f-er I dealt with run away call someone else. read more

Before writing this review I read the reviews from other people to kind of get a feeling of the company that just serviced me and to be honest, as a business owner myself I know that you can't please everyone. I worked as a roadside service tech before and I'm well aware of the mindset people are in when I arrive. No one is ever happy to be stuck somewhere unplanned in a place they're not comfortable being in. As a service tech, I could get multiple calls at the same time at different places for different reasons, meaning one job could be as fast as a jump start or as long as a tire change on a car parked awkwardly with the spare tire stuck on the bottom of the car due to rust. to sum this up customers aren't as calm and open-minded in these situations as they would be under different circumstances. My experience was great with this company with all things considered, they showed on time, changed my tire and I was on my way simple as that. read more

Not a towing review but, after I had finished eating dinner at a restaurant in Garfield last night, I was attempting to pull out of the parking lot. At the same time, a flat-bed truck from A-1 towing pulled up (within 2 feet of my car) and parked on the sidewalk, preventing me from exiting the driveway. It was pouring rain, and I got out of the car and asked the driver if he could move the truck. The tattooed neanderthal driving the vehicle said, you can get out, just back up and pull out of the driveway (which was impossible) as he walked into the restaurant. I called the phone # on the side of the truck and reported this incident, but never got a call back, so the driver of the truck most likely was the owner. From here to forward, I will post a notice in all four of my Paterson offices recommending that my clientele NEVER, EVER use A-1 Towing. Common courtesy is decidedly uncommon, especially among those employed by A-1 towing. read more

Wonderful Service! I have used this service multiple times and the driver always comes at the appointed time. In one case the driver was late, he called and apologized for the wait due to traffic. I was shocked about the reviews regarding the management! The manager is one of the nicest people I've ever talked to and he was very attentive on the phone and always gave me a wait time. I've waited as long as 2 hours one time since that's the wait time he gave me. I understand that I'm not the only person they are helping! I was in a bit of a jam, my car ripped two of its belts leaving me with a non functioning alternator and water pump . Even though I managed to avoid major damage from overheating, I wasn't going anywhere.
