This company got the job done fast and affordably. A rather old couch ended up looking almost new. Equally satisfied with the silk fiber large living room rug. Best thing was that they came very quickly (within 1-2 days notice) and arrived exactly when they said they would - which made it very easy to fit into my schedule. These guys are as hard working and honest as they come. Had them come to remove a horrible dog urine stench from our couch and they really delivered. They came in, got to work right away, Pulled cushions out of inserts, put EVERYTHING through a very detailed multi-step cleaning process, and left the couch looking better than the day we bought it. I thought I slightly smelled the urine about a week later and they came back immediately, free of charge, and cleaned the entire couch again. I've been looking at my rugs, mattress and furniture for years knowing they needed cleaning, After doing my research and seeing that this company has excellent reviews on both Angie's List and Yelp, I called them. The owner returned my call quickly and scheduled my appointment for the following weekend. They've just finished. Two men arrived exactly on time, did the job efficiently, and whatever method of cleaning they use worked miracles. Perhaps because one of the men is the actual owner of the company the work is meticulous. No wasted time: they came it, did the job, inspected the job, gave me pointers on fabric upkeep and, as an added bonus, admired my great cat. I hired Glenn and Tom to clean my beige micro-fiber couch and loveseat today and couldn't be happier! They look brand new!!! Every little mark is gone. When I called to make an appointment, Glenn was very informative, scheduled me within 2 days, and gave me a very reasonable quote. They arrived right on time, were extremely professional, took only one hour, and even included my decorative couch pillows in the cleaning without me even asking. Glenn left me with a specific rag to use for future cleaning, and gave me several tips on how to care for the furniture. They were dry within a couple of hours which is faster than other cleaning processes. They even mentioned that if I noticed any missed spots after it had dried that they would come and fix it for free. I had A-Abace come out to clean my sofa (that had just been peed on by my friend's dog) and a rug that has seen several dog accidents as well. They were able to come out the very next day. They were courteous, friendly and did a very thorough job. Glen and Tom scrubbed and scrubbed the dog pee spots until they were gone which is a lot more than the big national chain cleaners would have done! They even gave us tips on how to keep our other soft surfaces clean (mattress, etc.) it was so refreshing to get real, useful tips instead of "we can clean that for you too for $$". These guys are great. They came and cleaned my area rugs. They moved away the furniture or moved the rug to clean under and around every area. First they vacuumed to remove surface dirt. Then they used cleaner to remove the dog smell, carefully took out each and every stain no matter how small and them cleaned the carpet completely. These guys live up to the reviews. I've never heard of their cleaning process before, which includes a thorough vacuuming, sanitizing the carpets with a green sanitizer, and following it with a circular carpet cleaner (not a steam cleaner). Evidently most companies do not do the sanitizing because a special license is needed, requiring additional education, etc. It was expensive...literally twice the price of steam cleaning, but it was also by far the most thorough carpet and upholstery cleaning we've ever had...all using eco-friendly products. We had area rugs, wall-to-wall carpet and a couple of couches cleaned in total. They arrived promptly at 9 am and it took them just over 4 hours to complete the job. With steam cleaners in the past they are in and out in 1-2 hours. The couches were cleaned using a dry cleaning method. I was skeptical, but they look brand new! According to the owner (who does the work himself along with his brother), our couches and carpets/rugs are now completely sanitized and germ free. All and all I would rate this a wonderful experience, which is unexpected with something like carpet cleaning. I also love that this is a family-run business, not a chain using cheap labor. The owner has integrity and is very knowledgeable...evidently used to clean crime scenes. I will definitely use them again, even though it was pricey. read more

My partner and I returned from our Thanksgiving vacation to find that one of the cats had peed on the couch - a very nice CB2 couch that we love and do not want to do away with. I spent some time researching DIY cleaning solutions on the internet and then finally decided that cat pee on a nice couch is not something you mess around with, and off to yelp I went to search for upholstery cleaners. A-Abace was the first place I called, and they were able to come take care of the couch the SAME DAY - 3 hours after I called them! They were prompt, friendly, and absolutely adorable! I felt very good about supporting a local Chicago business. I paid $185 for a relatively large sectional couch and they also cleaned my throw pillows without me asking. I have no idea if this is a good price, but I did not mind paying it given that I had same day service, they had excellent reviews on yelp, and they told me that they'd come back to re-clean free of charge if the smell didn't go away after the first cleaning. They took about an hour to clean the couch and took great care to not make a mess (wearing booties, putting a tarp down). They told me that the couch would be dry enough to sit on an hour after the cleaning, which it wasn't - but that wasn't a huge problem. They were here yesterday afternoon and when I woke up this morning, the couch was dry and smelled slightly of their cleaning product but NOT cat pee. PHEW! They also left me a rag with their cleaning solution on it to use if I get more stains on the couch. I would absolutely use them again and I encourage others to do the same! read more
