Matt did the work and was fantastic and managed to fix a couple of trouble spots I was unable to get clean. We couldn't be happier. I was just about to call them to arrange to do the stairs again when Jeff pinged me to check up and offer to schedule another cleaning. I can't recommend them strongly enough. We have been using Galaxy's Best for years. We love them and have hired them for every carpet-cleaning job we've needed ever since we found them on Angie's List several years ago. We have hired them many times for carpet as well as upholstery cleaning. Our light carpet gets perpetually stained by two messy, young kids, a cat with bowel and digestive issues, two large Labrador Retrievers, and a mom who regularly splashes her coffee on the carpet. Professional, came in blue booties without being asked. Got stains out of carpets....and even added a quick destain on a rug we had. Nothing but praise. Only small thing, they said it would take 4 hours to dry. Left us footies till then, and the stairs took overnight. Might like to alert people to that. I just had my area rug and white couch cleaned. I am amazed! Marlon, who works with Jeff, arrived on time and explained to me how the cleaning machine worked and what type of cleaners he was using. They cleaned my white frieze carpet and white upholstered chairs yesterday. A plus. The carpet dried in 2-3 hours after they left. Very very thoroughal. Very pleased. I will call again. A good carpet cleaning service (when you have peeing puppies) it's worth is weight in gold. Affordable -reasonable --very nice fellow came out. Thank God I found Galaxy's Finest, in the October issue of, "Chicago Magazine, Where To Get Stuff Fixed". I hired Galaxy's Finest for upholstery cleaning. What amazing great service and price! I was going to sell my couches because they were beyond worn. Chicago Magazine had write ups of a few places so I began my research. I looked up reviews online and called several places then made my decision. My decision was an excellent choice, not only were they cheaper than the other guys they honestly delivered. I have 2 huge couches and an overstuffed fabric ottoman they charged $75.00 per couch and $25 for ottoman! Keith came by and was very prompt, courteous, and professional. He took out the wine stain combined with a fabric dye from dark clothing that I had desperately tried to clean myself a million times! He took out marks and smudges I had just given up on ever coming out. Keith took his time and explained how to take better care and how often to clean (I kinda know that, I just didn't know who to go to). He used a sanitizer to disinfect and eliminate odors and my couches look and smell wonderful. I am so happy, Thank you Galaxy's Finest! read more

Jeff and Galaxy offer the best service I have ever received - thorough, professional, informative, FANTASTIC. This is a company that has an old-fashioned pride in its work. His prices are competitive and are an incredible deal when you consider how much BETTER their service is than many other cleaners. He also took the time to advise us on what was necessary and what really wasn't - all to save us money. (We were over a barrel, and he could have easily had us order all sorts of unnecessary work - but he is an honest man.) Jeff came to try to restore our home after a serious heating/duct problem had deposited soot in every room of the house, saturating several of the carpets -- and the wall to wall carpets are all beige and white. Not only did Jeff get the gunk out of all of them-- wall to wall and area rugs -- but he arranged to come back to get the one carpet that was too soaked with gunk to come completely clean the first time. After he did such a terrific job on the disastrous carpets, we had Jeff come and do all of the upholstery in the house. These are sofas and upholstered chairs that had survived 5 kids -- and Jeff made them look nearly good as new. He is great with kids, patient with dogs, and a delight to have in your home. Can I give them a 10 star review? I have used them a couple of times and will continue to use them. If you want professional carpet cleaners call them. If you want people that will quote you a fair, honest price and show up promptly; call them. If you have pets; CALL THEM. After searching Angie's List, I saw that The Galaxy's Finest had lots of excellent reviews so I called them. I reached Jeff on a Friday afternoon in the car. He pulled over, asked about the details of my job, and quoted me a price. He was able to quickly schedule the job for 7am the following Monday. He helped me rotate my wool 18x10 area rug, explained the process, and used a specialized hand tool to pre-treat the high-traffic areas. Then he meticulously went over the entire carpet. Both Jeff and Keith have been to our house to clean carpets and the couch. These guys are great -- easy to reach for booking, on time for appointments, personable, thorough, good prices. In particular I appreciate how the process fit right in with our totally insane schedule. I placed one call to make the appointment, no runaround or multiple calls. We've had Galaxy's finest out about 6 times to clean carpets. We are always very satisfied. Last time, as always they did a great job in our place but also took out a ground in mess of stains that had a spoiled milk odor in the common hallway entrance from the outside to 2 condos. All condo owners were very pleased with the results. The carpet looked and smelled great when done. They are coming out to clean carpets tomorrow and I will follow up with a new review within a week in the case the results are not 5 star. It's going to be a difficult job again as our 110 lb. dog was sick & had BIG accidents all over (that's probably enough detail) and this has to happen just before Thanksgiving!. Keith came on time (even a little early) for the scheduled cleaning, and thoroughly explained the process to me. He provided the costs up front and was honest about what spots could be removed or not. He was friendly and personable throughout, and made a point to keep the area clean as he worked.
