This is a small business but it's very well run and very honest. I am very happy with the rim repairs done there and the prices were very reasonable. I had slow leaks due to mild corrosion and they were able to fix them and discovered one of my rims was actually bent. I moved my car from Cali to VA and my speaker got damaged from transport. The box must have fallen on top of the air compressor when the car went up the ramp. It rashed the side of the speaker trim. Basically needed to refinish the metal surface of the speaker which invovled sanding and polishing. I had my Genesis G70 two months when I struck some concrete debris in the road. Both front and rear passenger side rims had two gashes in the edge of the rims. I reached out to A+ Alloy Wheel Repair and got an appointment in 2 days. I dropped both wheels off at 10am and had them back by 1:00. Other than smelling the fresh clear coat there is no sign that there was ever damage to the rims. I was concerned about the machined portion of the rim matching at the repair but it is just like new. Just want to start off by saying I'm not a someone that would leave comments on yelp but I do frequently look at reviews to know what I should expect when I enter an establishment. I created this yelp account for the sole purpose to let the people know what kind of customer service they will be receiving A+ Alloy Wheel Repair. My car hit a pothole on 495 S and immediately had to pull over to the side of the road and call a tow truck. Front left rim was broken in half and rear left rim was damaged. The first shop that popped up on yelp was unfortunately this place. Desperate and stranded I called them and gave them a heads up that my vehicle is coming their way. The guy who picked up (don't know his name) said that its fine but they do close in less than an hour. This is on a Saturday btw. Sunday's they are closed which I understand. Monday morning comes around and I gave them a call around 9:30ish because I wanted to make moves quick to get my rims fixed. The guy picked up with a monotone voice like he didn't want to be there said "You need a new set....". I told him to provide more information because I only went over the pothole with the left side of my car and wanted to feel reassured that getting a new set is the best thing to do. I mean were talking about a new set of rims and tires here (its not cheap). He then said listen buy a new set because the current model is discontinued. With a quick google search I was able to find my current rims. Hmmmm.. weird.. Now I don't trust his word at all and he isn't convincing enough. But at the same time my car is stuck there and I have no choice other than to get it towed again to another shop (more money). I texted the number that's on their website, which is (703) 835-2730 because I can tell that he doesn't want to speak to me at all. In the text I'm asking him for the rim options because my rear tires are wider than my fronts and they have many offset options for the rims. I didn't get an answer that day. The NEXT day at 12:17PM (which seems fair to let them get in the shop and get settled in) I sent another text asking for an answer. Yup.. No response. Okay.. Now I'm kinda ticked off.. I waited til the NEXT!!! day at 12:22PM (24 hours later) and sent another text asking if he will help me or not?!?? Then he writes back that I need to get my car because AND I quote from the text messages "Please come and get your car sir. I am not your slave here". Then goes on to say my wheels are garbage and tries to belittle me. Tells me to get my car out of the shop by 4PM (less than a 4 hour window). Immediately got a tow truck over there and got the car out of there. Anyways I blabbed enough. I added the screenshots of the conversation. Til this day I don't know exactly who I was talking to but it was the same person that I spoke to on the phone. Maybe the owner "Ali" but who knows. I didn't have a pleasant experience here and would not recommend anyone who needs urgent work done to their cars to bring their business to this dump. Wish they had a 0 star option tbh. had some pretty bad curb rash on one of my aftermarket Rays Gramlights wheels. I forgot to take a picture of the before and after. But I would have been given them a solid 5 stars because when I came to pick up my car, the wheel that was curbed looked as good as new. But after a few days, the paint/coating they used started chipping off revealing aluminum on the part they repaired. Maybe cuz it was rainy and the paint didn't dry well but its ok. still looks better than a curbed wheel. He quoted me $135 for the wheel repair. read more

I called Ali on 11/23 to ask for his assistance on a cracked wheel that was leaking air (diagnosed by Mr. Tire). He told me I could drop the Car off on Thanksgiving night and he could have it repaired on Friday. I told him it was important to have it done fast, but correct because I was moving and driving my car to Texas the next week with my 4 year old daughter (across the country). He understood and said that he would call me the next morning to let me know the status. By Friday at noon, I had still not heard from Ali. I called him, he said the repair would be done by the end of the business day 5pm. I still did not hear from him. So at 4pm, I go down to the shop to find him and my car. He is in disarray and disheveled. The place is a mess. He walks me across the hall to his father's dealership to show me that his weld machine is broken/clogged and he needs to fix it before he can repair my car (sometime the next day). The next day, he sends me a text that my car is ready at around noon. He charged me $225 for the repair. I drive across country with my baby on what I now learn was a shotty weld job. See pictures below and a link to the video that I took at the Goodyear Service Center, when my tire went completely flat. Less than a month after Ali's "repair". My tire was flat. I had to have it towed to a Goodyear Service Center. See video and picture below. Since they don't repair wheels, I had to take it to another repair shop and get a rental car during the holidays. They were also astonished at the poor weld job. One technician said. This person is not a welder. He just has a weld machine. I called Ali and respectfully requested a refund. I sent him pictures and the video. He refused. He said should have driven my car back to Virginia FROM TEXAS (where I now reside) for him to take a look at it. I just thank God that I didn't end up stranded on the side of the highway with my baby, or even worse a accident from a blow out. Should be renamed "D Minus Wheel Repair." If you own an exotic car like a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Rolls Royce do NOT ago to this butcher shop. I own a Ferrari 458 Italia. Had a bent wheel with a paint chip and needed a simple repair and repaint. Ali completely failed in repairing the wheel or accurately painting it. He opted to paint over the clear coat and not even sand down the wheel basically taking away the fine sharp lines. On the repair, the wheel was still damaged and out of true causing road vibrations. I asked for a refund and he refused. I gave him multiple attempts to rectify the situation and he did not, instead, he had an attitude. If you own any car of value, don't goto A PLUS, they don't have the skills or experience to work on anything high end. read more

I really want to give this place a good review, I do since the owner comes off as pretty nice person, but the work they did on my wheels are just horrible and by far completely unacceptable. where do i start. I dropped off a set of 3 piece aluminum wheels for them to get re-cleared. the owner told me that was not possible, so I said fine, polish the face of the wheels for me since parts of the clearcoat is oxidizing from underneith and I could not take apart the wheels to buff them out myself. He said it was fine, couple days go by and i come to pickup my wheels. first of all, he did not take them apart like i told him to, Since that was going to be the bulk of the labor. So i raised a concern about price, he told me that he was going to charge me the same price since he polished my lip (the lip was already polished and i specifically told him to only touch the centers). the buff and polish job they did on the face of my wheels is so poor one of the wheels looks like it was untouched, the remaining wheels looks like he buffed the oxidized parts through the clear coat and left the clear coated parts on, so in a nutshell up close the wheels looks blotchy and completely unacceptable, I told him to just polish all the clearcoat off (which is what i wanted him to do in the first place) he kept giving me reasons on why he couldnt. on top of which, there heavy indented tool makrs on the outer lip from i guess when he tried to mount my tires on. The total price of his (lack of) work was $560 - 10% = $504 took the wheels back, the owner said he would try to fix the problem, all in all this place isnt experienced with higher grade wheels, seems like they havent done much work on wheels such as OZ, BBS, RAYS, WORK.. etc. -update- owner didnt really say anything when i brought it back, it now looks like how I wanted it in the first place, however I wanted them to take apart and reassemble the wheels, the owner said that he could not guarantee anything... (are you kidding me? they SPECIALIZE in wheels and can not guarantee to seal up a multi piece wheel?) ALSO, they cant mount a tire on a wheel without scratching and denting the outer lip of the wheel. (my front wheels outer edges look pretty bad) read more

I have only been to this establishment once and will probably not go again. This low rating may just be because of one bad instance but it was such a disappointment on the service I received. I brought by vehicle to fix curb rash. Was quoted $135 to repair like new. I figured with decent reviews of the place I would go for it. The shop is in back garage if service center of a dealership so it was hard to find. Once I made my way into the shop, handed the keys and waited about 2 hours for the repair to be fixed. Once I picked up my car, the repair looked clean but I noticed that within two months not only did the coating came off, it revealed the amount of extra damage they made to the wheel. I ended up spending another $200 to take the wheel to the actual dealer and had them refurbish it the right way. I would recommend that you do your homework about this place before committing to using the service. Each case is different, unfortunately mine had a poor outcome. read more
